Pain and Pleasure… the Mistress of Mayhem, Murder and Mystery strikes again
The novel "The Season of the Blood" is a chilling story that spreads fear without discrimination. The author, Stephanie M. Freeman, uses very few words to create a sense of horror in the reader. Her writing delves deep into the psyche of the characters, without showing any sympathy for their disabilities or mental health issues. Her description of a mass grave is enough to keep anybody up at night checking and rechecking the windows! The book is the fourth in the “Diamonds, Blood and Shadows Series".
The story is generous in its literary offering, and there is a clever warning given at the beginning of the book - "EVERYTHING IS FOR SALE. Even the screams." This is the only alert given by Stephanie M. Freeman to the readers.
This away book was a page turner and something that I could not put down. I wonder if I will read more about Gabe and the other characters? I am looking forward to read more books from Stephanie Freeman.
Could have been a good book, may have been a good book, but there were so many grammar, punctuation and other errors that I had a very hard time reading it. I only finished so I could leave an honest review.
