Turf Wars #5

Clash Of The Nannies

Rate this book
A nanny is what I am.
I'm a good one, too.
When I'm hired by a biker and his rich woman, I can't say no.
I can't afford to say no.
I've never worked for a biker before, and I certainly haven't worked for one who is this damned moody and did I mention oh, so gorgeous?
Still, here I am.
I need the money.
I need to escape my past.
I need something, anything, to make the demons go away.
What I didn't sign up for was the rich bitch he decided to reproduce with.
Not only does she hate me, but she's from the most wealthy family in town.
My days are now filled with country clubs, galas and dressing a baby in clothes I could never afford in my lifetime.
Did I mention the other nannies?
The stuck up ones?
The ones who hate me?
Yeah, there's them.
Lucky for me, I have him.
A connection that's undeniable.
Only, he's everything I shouldn't want.
A biker? Bad news.
I'm their nanny, even worse.
Yet, their relationship is toxic.
A one night stand gone wrong.
An attempt to make things right for a baby he didn't know he even wanted.
I'm not in the position to be in the middle of that...
Yet, there's something there...
Something between us that's undeniable.
This isn't going to end well...

This was so fun. Hugh and Maggie were so great together.
I live this author and this series has made laugh and swoon so much. Maggie was kinda childish sometimes.. Especially when getting back at the other nannies but I had a great time reading this book. Hugh was so great, I really loved him. And Star stole my heart.
I really recommend this series.

Bella has once again brought us a funny, sexy, MC romance with Maggie, Hugh and Delilha.
Maggie is down on her luck but has just landed a nanny position. Too bad the mom, Delilhla is a stuck-up snob and the dad, Hugh is a hulky biker that she may just be lusting after. Yes, she may have fallen hard for the little child of this odd couple but things are about to get very interesting when she is thrown to the nanny wolves. Hugh has just found himself a new dad and living with a woman that was a one-night stand. He is in a very uncomfortable situation when he wants the nanny more that the woman he is living with. This is quite a crazy adventure with this family as they each learn to navigate their new roles and living situations and now throw in some misadventures with the other nannies and we have ourselves quite a story!

Clash of the Nannies is the fifth book in Bella Jewel's Turf Wars Series. You can read it as a standalone but I have read them all and loved every single one of them. This is a series you shouldn't miss out on. This is the story of Hugh and Maggie.
Hugh is a really grumpy biker, however you will find out really quick why the poor man is a grumpy little thing so don't hold it against him. He had a one night stand with one of the local super rich girls, Delilah, and that one night stand resulted in a baby he really didn't want but once the baby we here his tune changed. He however under no circumstances wants to make things with Delilah work, but in his heart he feels like it is the right thing to do. Maggie is a girl who is really struggling and needs to make every penny she can to survive. She is about at her whit's end and really hopes that she can catch a break soon. That break comes in the form of being hired to be a nanny to Hugh and Delilah's baby. You'd think this would be great and I don't know if I was Maggie, that I wouldn't have walked out and thought it so wasn't worth it, I will find another way. Maggie quickly learns that the baby has more nannies that just her and those nannies are some serious bullies to her. Then there is the babies mom, Delilah and that woman is one of those, I love to hate her, kind of character's. But then comes her attraction to Hugh and it's not a one sided attraction by any stretch of the imagination. So to say the girl caught a break in getting this job just might be a real stretch. I swear this book will have you laughing out loud at times. I promise you that this book is highly entertaining and you are not going to want to lay it down at all. I loved every single second of it. You do not want to miss this laugh out loud absolutely amazing book!

Clash of Nannies by Bella Jewel brings another entertaining and scorching hot motorcycle club rom com. Before this series, I never thought of MC romance and romantic comedy in the same sentence. But the author beautifully brought grumpy brooding alpha bikers together with sassy witty heroines. And I am in love.

Maggie is poor and heartbroken and in a difficult stage of her life. So when Hugh, the biker god from local motorcycle club needs a nanny for his surprise baby girl Starla, she doesn't hesitate. But it put her in a difficult position. Hugh is trying to work everything out with Starla's mother Delilah who belongs to the rich snob posh part of society. Starla is a result of one night stand and her parents have nothing in common. Maggie is attracted to Hugh but she would never come between them. And Delilah's friends and their nannies have declared war on her.
.
First of all there is no cheating. Hugh and Delilah were only living together and it was painfully clear that she or her family can never accept the rough biker. They have no chemistry and no connection. Now Maggie and Hugh have an amazing chemistry. Maggie is such a fierce sweetheart. She is strong and loving and fearless to stand up for herself. She can be a mess but she fights her way out of it. She gave back much more when she was pranked. Hugh is your everyday biker with a difference. Alpha. Protective. Possessive. The way he deals with his baby girl..swoon effect instantly. Together they created something unique and something heartfelt. I loved reuniting with all the gang and I can say that I will definitely miss them a lot. The story has some twists and turns and because the author doesn't do pure evil characters in this series, you will end up loving Delilah too.

This has been such a fun series to read! Each book was its very own adventure. Hugh is a grumpy biker who had a one night stand with a local rich girl and now they share a baby. Hugh doesn’t want to try and make it work but he knows it’s the right thing to do. Maggie struggles financially to survive and she just wants to catch break. When she is hired as a nanny for Hugh an Delilah’s baby it’s just one nightmare after another. Between Delilah’s horrible attitude, being bullied by the other nannies and her constant attraction to Hugh it’s one crazy thing after another. There were several laugh out loud moments in this book, i was extremely entertained. I loved this series sooo much, I swear the writing got better with each book. I’m going to really miss this series and these great quick reads. But I look forward to reading the new series! I already excited about Rhett’s first book.

I have to see that I loved Bella Jewel’s MC Series. And this one was just another one that I can add to my fav Bella Jewel list 😊 I literally finished this story in one day. I was hooked on Maggie’s story.

Maggie was hired by Hugh to take care of his little girl. He had a one night stand with a women and then she came around with a child and now he was trying to make it work with her for the sake of his daughter. But the more time he spent with Maggie, the more he was attracted to her. And then he knew that being with his baby mama was not going to work.

Maggie got out of a toxic relationship, and now all she wanted to do is earn enough money to get out of town and just find her place. But when she met Hugh and little Starla she was infatuated. But between dealing with stuck up nannies and a Starla’s mom things are not as easy as they seem. And when the opportunity of a lifetime comes along, what will she do… Stay with Hugh and Star or will she leave and loose the best thing that ever happened to her…

When I started this story I really disliked Delilah (Star’s mama) but I have to say she totally turned it all around 😊 Maggie seemed like she would be a push over, but she totally proved me wrong, especially when she gave as good as she got with the fellow nannies. I loved that there was some suspense thrown into the whole story, but as usual im greedy and wanted a bit more action. All in all the story was good, the characters were amazing and I truly loved humor added in.

Enjoy more shenanigans as our favorite MC loses another member to love. Hugh is the latest victim as the nanny finds herself falling for the sexy biker.

Hugh never wanted a kid, especially with his one night stand he can hardly remember. Delilah is insistent that they give it a go, but it’s an uphill battle. She’s comes from wealth and privilege. He’s a rough around the edges biker who prefers leather to a suit. Now mix in the beautiful nanny, Maggie, and it’s even more complicated.

Maggie just wants the best for the little girl in her charge when she takes in the job as their nanny. The problem is she’s attracted to her employer, Delilah is a raging witch, and all the nannies in Delilah’s circle hate her. It’s about to get catty as the nannies fight it out.

This series is always filled with funny moments, elements of suspense, and steamy love. You’ll get all three, plus your favorite characters from the past will make appearances. This is the final book and I was sad for it to end. I must say that I do hope there will be an epilogue so that the author can give us the closure I am looking for.

The Clash of the Nannies is a fun romance and, from what I can tell, the conclusion to this series.

Maggie is hired as a nanny for Hugh and his baby's rich mama, Delilah.

Both Maggie and Hugh are our of their element living with the rich and pompous.

Poor Maggie is treated like crap from Delilah and the other nannies that she now has to interact with. On top of that, she accidentally stumbles onto something dangerous.

I loved how Maggie handled everything thrown her way. She wasn't quick to react but she also didn't just lie down and take what was thrown at her.

Between the cat fights and Hugh learning what babies are capable of, I was constantly laughing and smiling.

The chemistry that builds between High and Maggie is hot and when all the obstacles in their path are cleared, HOLY COW!

Then there is that emotional bombshell that came at the end! I was not prepared but I love the way it was handled.

This series has been incredibly fun, sexy as h*ll, and loaded with drama! I can't recommend it enough!

This is one of my absolute favorite series to date. There was not one book I didn't like, not one I didn't laugh my butt off through. Hugh and Maggie, have a bit of a rough start, a tad bit unconventional but holy do they get it right in the end. They have made this perfect little family, cause family isn't always blood, family is what you make it. I'm going to miss this group so much, but I can't not wait for the next series!

I didn't expect what I got.

Well this was positively surprising.

I love Maggie. She's strong, she's got heart and she stands for herself but also for what's right. Her character is super relatable and very likable.

Hugh is top book bof material. He's dependable and sweet with a side of broody darkness I could not get enough of.

These two gave me all the forbidden feels whilst not actually being all that forbidden. They are so freaking sweet together, literally perfectly paired. And the chemistry? Lordy!!!!. It's the stuff of greatness.

Delilah I feel has earned a few words so I'm going to say regardless of the fact she acts unforgivable at times. I actually appreciate just how difficult her situation was and the fact that even still through it all she rose above and turned onto a likeable character and an important part of this journey.

Let's just say there really is fantastic characters development in this story all round and whilst this journey isn't as crazy as the past 4 stories.. it holds it own for many other reasons.

It's a sweet, frustrating, exciting and at times infuriating journey of lust, love, growth and genuine friendship build from the ground up.
There is so many special moments in here and with such a huge variety of great characters that give all the feels, it's safe to say there was never a dull moment.

I'm going to miss this series but I have a feeling its not the last of these characters.
Also Doris. Not my sweet Doris!!. I cried.

Now... gimme my cowboy.

Take one young woman down on her luck, a fresh faced but grumpy biker who’s slept with a local rich girl resulting in an unplanned pregnancy and this is what you get, a fantastic, entertaining read that will have you hooked from start to finish.

A one night stand resulting in an unplanned pregnancy sees Hugh try to make it work despite his heart not being in it, he’s got nothing in common with Delilah other than the daughter they now share. Maggie has been struggling financially to survive, so when the opportunity to work as a nanny arises she grabs it with both hands, after all who wouldn’t want to watch an adorable three month old baby girl whilst having the chance to secretly ogle her drop dead gorgeous biker daddy, even if she does have to put up with the mother’s horrible attitude. What ensues is one nightmare after another as Maggie deals with Delilah’s horrible attitude along with being bullied by the nannies of Delilah’s friends' children, there’s also her growing attraction towards Hugh himself. Maggie and Hugh had an unconventional start of sorts but they get there in the end. Plenty of laugh out loud moments make this another fantastic addition to what has been an amazing series.

Clash of the Nannies by Bella Jewel is the fifth and final book in her Turf Wars series. It’s hilarious. And sad. And brilliantly witty. And heartbreaking. And thoroughly NSFW in the best way.

Hugh and Delilah couldn’t be any further from a well matched couple, and it’s pretty funny. Maggie is hired to watch their daughter, Starla.
Delilah is like ever spoiled brat you could think of, and treats everyone around her the exact way you would expect. It’s clear from the start that Hugh’s a good person and I can’t help but feel sorry for him.

Naturally, Delilah’s friends are all like her; and their nannies are no better. Delilah tries to treat Maggie like a servant, but Maggie won’t bend. The war that the other nannies wage is so vicious, I couldn’t help but feel bad for Maggie.

The issues that Maggie has to deal with would be pretty overwhelming for most people. A gaslighting ex on top of the nannies and the country club? No thank you!

Hugh and Maggie’s chemistry when they finally get to be together is explosive. Their relationship isn’t smooth sailing though, and everything almost goes to pot. Thankfully they get their happily ever after - I don’t think I could have taken it if they didn’t!

Maggie and Hugh meet when he needs a nanny for his daughter. Maggie takes the job and then finds that the situation she's walking into is kind of in turmoil. Hugh doesn't want to be there and he really didn't want kids. There is a connection Maggie feels with Hugh but she feels like she can't get in the middle of it. She was kind of all over the place in this book. The shenanigans between her and the other nannies was just ridiculous at times. All of them needed to grow up and not act like the children they were watching. Her supposedly winning some contest just didn't make sense. She wasn't exactly a stellar nanny so how was I supposed to believe she won a contest? It got old quick. The whole wrap up at the end was too convenient. Also was kind of ridiculous how she decided to keep things from Hugh because she was too chicken to say what was going on. He stood up for her again and again and she didn't have the courtesy to be honest with him. It was ridiculous. The wrap up was kind of unbelievable.

Genre: Biker Dad romance
Series: Book 5 in standalone connected series

Maggie accepts a job as a live in nanny with biker dad Hugh and his daughter mother Delilah. Hugh is trying to make it work with Delilah but can’t deny his attraction to Maggie.

1 star- Interesting enough to finish
No Stars- DNF maybe another time

My review below (spoilers)

This book was too all over the place for me. Insta love for Hugh and Maggie even though they hold out until he is single to be together. Then you have the human trafficking then Maggie being a wanderer looking for something not in that time. The ex that all of a sudden stop pestering after finding out she sleep with someone. The bad guys decided to hurt her rather than snatch her. It was hard to keep up and to stay interested. The secondary characters were great some I remember from their own stories in the series. The sex scene was decent not really captivating.

This is the fifth book in this amazing series. Maggie is sassy, loving, and more than capable of standing up for herself, but she is going through a difficult time at the moment and is broke and heartbroken, and is hoping for a fresh start when she is hired to be a nanny of a baby girl Hugh is sexy, grumpy, and a broody biker, who is trying to make the best of things when a 1-night stand with Delilah, who is from a wealthy and privileged family, results in a baby that he never knew he would want. There is an undeniable attraction between Hugh and Maggie, but he is trying to make the best of the toxic relationship he has with Delilah. This is a well written story which is heartfelt, and is filled with twists, humor, witty banter, bullying, emotions, suspense, and love, which leads to a steamy and entertaining riveting page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

I can’t believe Turf Wars is over!

Clash of the Nannies is another fast paced, entertaining, steamy book in this hilarious MC series.

Hugh and Maggie are explosive together, I could feel their chemistry throughout the whole book. I love them together, especially when Maggie is standing up for Hugh or showing him how to be a dad and when Hugh comes to her rescue.

I really enjoyed the pranks and getting to see characters from the previous books in Clash of the Nannies.

The only thing I didn’t like was it seemed a bit rushed and the pranks where as fun or original like they were in the other books in this series. I do wish we got more of a back story on Hugh and I also feel like towards the end it was all very convenient.

I gotta say, my heart did break towards the end though. That final scene with Doris was just… ugh. She’s my fave!

Overall, I have thoroughly enjoyed the Turf Wars series and I can’t wait to read more from Bella.

Who else has been waiting for this story to come out? When Maggie interviews Hugh as a new sitter well she doesn't realize things are about to change. Hugh never wanted kids and now he has a baby and is playing house with his baby mama. Maggie realizes she just stepped into chaos, but what is about to happen when she meets the other nannies is nothing but pure craziness. How she didn't slap the crap out of some of these women is beyond me. But when something happens it's Hugh who is there to save her. Their attraction is not something to ignore and when things start to happen well Hugh will have to make a choice be with his baby mama or Maggie the woman he wants? The incidents are hilarious, but something I really like was how this author made sure there was drama but also so much love and hope for all of the characters.

What an end to a fantastic series

*****Minor spoiler alert*****

This book was so good. I was glued to the pages and couldn’t read it fast enough. The way Bella has balanced out the MC part with rom-com in this book, and throughout the series is perfect.
I loved seeing how well the characters developed their relationship and connection. The friendship that was created between Maggie and Delilah is amazing. A lot of times characters in their positions would hate each other or be jealous, but it was refreshing seeing them get along. Even becoming great friends.

There was one downfall to it all, though… the series has ended. Hopefully we’ll see the characters throughout the next series. *fingers crossed*

I loved Clash Of The Nannies Book five in the Turf War Series and I loved the drama.

Hugh and Delilah had a one drunken night stand they are polar opposites but Hugh intends to make it work with the prissy Delilah when Starla is born only Delilah still wants her social life so she insists on hiring Nanny.

Maggie has never had an easy life and this is a job she can't refuse, it pays well and the house is beautiful and of course the baby is super cute the only downside is the handsome but grumpy dad and the mother.

A funny, laugh out loud, sexy storyline I loved how Hugh took Maggie under his wing. Bella Jewel has nailed it with with this series.

Oh yes! Finally, I read this one! I am so happy I did too! Ok, Maggie is awesome in every way. I love how nurturing she is towards Starla and how real she gets with Hugh, Delilah, and those nanny bullies! One of those nannies had it coming too. Of course, there is danger rooming around this country club and somehow Maggie gets caught in the crossfire and Hugh wants to help and make sure she is safe. I love how Maggie and Hugh become a couple too. I'm happy Hugh and Delilah recognize how they can't make it work but can be the parents Starla needs. I love Doris! She is my favorite character of this series!

I Loved it!!! Couldn't put the book down. The bond Maggie forms with Star is super cute. But more than that, I love that she is an honest woman who speaks her mind. Down to earth and works hard at being a good person. Best part is that Hugh easily appreciates that. His protective side is to dye for and the moments taking care of Star cause an ovary explosion. This story is easy to read, will have you laughing, will have you mad at how nasty privileged people can be, will have characters learning and growing to be better, and will give you a twist at every turn. It felt like a calming conclusion. It's perfect!

This story was laugh out loud hilarious. Maggie takes a job as Hugh’s nanny. She finds him very attractive, but he is trying to make things work with his daughters mother, Delilah, who comes from a very wealthy family. Trying to fit in with the wealthy women and their nannies is nearly impossible. They belittle her and talk behind her back every chance they get. What happens next is a bunch of pranks that will have you laughing. All this, and the fighting her major crush on Hugh is very hard for Maggie. I really enjoyed this story, as well as this entire series. This is the most fun I had reading a book in a long time. Loved everything about it!

Clash of the Nannies by Bella Jewel is book 5 in the Turf Wars Series. This is the story of Maggie and Hugh. Maggie has hit rock bottom and is in need of a job which is how she meets Hugh. Hugh is a grumpy alpha biker who had a one night stand with the towns rich girl Delilah. Now they are trying to co-parent but her family is hating on him. Maggie quickly takes the job but it doesn't take long for Delilah and the other nannies to start hating on her which should be enough but then she ends up in danger. Enjoyed this book

I was really looking forward to this one after reading the previous book. High and Maggie's story had me laughing my a** off. Seriously, I think this series ended on a high note! This was such a fun story, the storyline was engaging, the characters have their own quirks and everything in between is so captivating and interesting. I couldn't put it down because I was so into the story, the pranks and the squabble and bickering between the rich women. It's like watching a movie! I absolutely loved it!

I started reading this series because I read the blurb for this book and wanted to read them in order before I got to this one. Well the best was saved for last. I absolutely adored this one so much! And the ending was a bittersweet ending at that. I’m definitely going to miss these characters, especially old Doris! But I’m looking forward to the next series to come from Bella. I mean it’s got hot cowboys so what’s not to love?!

Seems like author just wanted to rush it

I like the earlier books in this series, but not this one. It was rush from the beginning and was used to set up the next series that she maybe has planned. I never write reviews but this short book took me over a week to get 75% done only to skip to the end. It seem kinda pointless to write the ending in that way in regards to Doris. If want you read it get on kindle unlimited not worth 5.45 I paid for it.

cute and hot

I enjoyed this story even though I did no read all the other books in the series. I just liked the blurb and took a chance to read this one. Exceeded my expectations. I was thoroughly entertained. The was drama, angst, one getting shot, one growing up and living her best life, then losing an old friend, and best of all, some get everything they deserve. I was a little sad when it ended. I became attached to the characters. HEA, no cheating, no cliffhanger.

Clash of the Nannies is book five in the Turf Wars series and is High and Maggie's book. I have fallen more and more in love with this series with Rach book I've read. Each book is a standalone and features a different couple. This book was a wild ride of cutthroat nannies, scandals and falling in love. I'm sad this series us ending but I can't wait to see what's up Bella Jewel's.

I’m not sure what to think of this last instalment. I liked the characters and her boss was a nice surprise.
I didn’t know Nannie’s would hate other Nannie’s like, wth.
Anyhoo, I adore Maggie, she’s great at her job and stands up for herself and has great chemistry with Hugh.
Her girl squad is awesome, they’re hilarious. This was a decent read.
