Enjoy these three engaging, sweet, short, fun, romances.

In A Chocolate-Box New Years, I love how Julie jumped to the conclusion that Lorenzo was married. The characters are interesting and well developed. I loved how Lorenzo kept saying the cassata is not quite right! Come watch the magic develop in Julie's kitchen!

A Chocolate-Box Irish Wedding is a well written, engaging tale of an older couple that presents several Irish customs. Kiki and Column have discovered that their dreams did not play out quite as they imagined. They meet again at the wedding of his father and her mother.

In 1-800-NEW YEAR, Lincoln and Shay won my heart at the beginning of the story and I could no put the book down. This well written book reminds us that everything happens in God's time.

A Chocolate-Box New Years (Chocolate-Box #2) by Josie Riviera
This story starts out with praise for the authors' works.
Story starts with Julie and she not only runs the restaurant but owns it and works nonstop.
Love that her siblings live nearby and are very supportive. She feels migraines coming on often as she is doing too much, doesn't count on others to do her work.
Story also follow Lorenzo and he's a Italian local weatherman and others jest he hardly gets the forecast right. He wants her to take charge of the wedding anniversary dinner at her place.
She assumes it's for he and his wife but learns otherwise later...He wants his grandmother's recipe and she tries it with his being the taste tester and she just can't get it right-the recipe was very vague.
Her sister-from the chocolate shop tell her it's so he can spend time with her-he compliments her often.
Love hearing of the authentic way to make pasta and that she donates the leftovers.
Like the things they find in common after spending a lot of hours taste testing the recipe-he wants it perfect for the dinner.
With so much in common they can't find ground to stand on where one is off balance and you wonder if they will ever get together.
Received this review copy from the author and this is my honest opinion.

I read each of these books when they were first released and can whole-heartedly endorse this collection of romantic stories. You do not have to read any of her series books in order as, even though you will find references to characters in previous books, each is a fully self-contained story. My review here is based on my previous review of each of the three books in this bundle.

A Chocolate-Box New Years

Josie Riviera has once again delivered a sweet romance for her readers. Both the budding romance between restaurant owner Julie Elliot and local meteorologist Lorenzo Rossi and the delicious Italian food descriptions kept me quickly turning pages. It’s fun to read how a quest to bake the perfect cassata (Italian cheesecake) for an anniversary dinner serves to help romance blossom. And yes, this particular recipe calls for lots of chocolate.

This is a relatively short book, but we learn a lot about our main characters within the confines of the story. There is Julie’s reluctance to follow through on her initial attraction to the very attractive Lorenzo. There is no question that Lorenzo is interested in Julie. Of course, this is a romance, so it is no surprise that she eventually succumbs to his charms.

A Chocolate-Box Irish Wedding

This beautifully written romance whisks the reader off to the Irish town of Wexford. High school sweethearts who had gone off to pursue their individual dreams after graduation are there to attend the wedding of her mother to his father. She is divorced and he has never married.

Is there any chance that the old spark between them can be rekindled or will the physical distance between them keep them apart despite their obvious attraction to each other? While Kiera has returned to live in Wexford, Colum teaches dance in another city.

I loved learning about some of the Irish traditions which Josie Riviera intricately weaves into this story.

This novella can easily be read in one sitting, but once again the author has found a way to make the major characters come alive within the limited number of pages.

Remember to check out the included recipe for Irish Soda Bread.

1-800-NEW YEAR

Welcome to the small town of Roses, North Carolina, where landscaper Shanice (Shay) Williams has inherited her grandmother’s home. Living on a tight budget, Shanice realizes that she must put the property up for sale if she wants to be able to pay her bills. But the property is old and in need of repair, and even with a lowered listing price that reflects that the property is to be sold “as is,” no offer has been made that comes close to what she needs to break even after paying her own expenses.

However, there is a mysterious out of town person interested in the property. Could he be the
buyer she is hoping to find? Shay is shocked when she discovers that it is none other than Lincoln Reid, her love of sixteen years ago.

Author Josie Riviera weaves a wonderfully romantic tale as she sets the stage for Shanice and Lincoln to fall in love again. In spite of the fact that he is a very successful businessman and she is struggling to make ends meet, they have much in common. They are encouraged along the way by friends and by Lincoln’s older sister. Lincoln is completely charming…bringing old memories alive and trying to create new ones.

There are fun moments such as learning about how Lincoln always messed up the words to songs. These are balanced out with more reflective times such as finding out why Shanice broke up with Lincoln so many years ago. The story is set during Kwanzaa, and Ms. Riviera has done her research so that she can incorporate the traditions into her story and perhaps teach something about this holiday to those readers who know little about it.

Celebrate the New Year all year long with this sweet collection.

New Year Hearts was a great read by Josie Riviera. This box set includes; A Chocolate-Box New Years, A Chocolate-Box Irish Wedding, and 1-800-New Year. A Chocolate-Box New Years (Chocolate-Box #2) was a great read by Josie Riviera. Julie runs The Pasta Junction and seems to be stretched thin. During the holidays, the restaurant is extremely busy, but she carves out time for the local weatherman Lorenzo. She is extremely attracted to him but he is planning an anniversary party and she knows he must be married. She discovers that everything isn't as it seems. A Chocolate-Box Irish Wedding was another good read by Josie Riviera. Colum O'Brien is a professional ballet dancer who is still hurt from his break up four decades earlier. He moved on but never forgot his childhood sweetheart, Keira Murphy. They meet again when his father is marrying her mother. Keira is a famous runway model. 1-800-NEW YEAR (Flipping For You #5) was a great read by Josie Riviera. Shanice Williams is tired of struggling to make ends meet and keep her landscaping business afloat. She inherits her grandmother’s farmhouse which is the home she grew up in but unfortunately she is forced to sell it because of financial difficulty. Her ex-boyfriend, Lincoln Reid, arrives in town, which forces Shanice to question his motives for wanting to purchase her house. She wont allow him to tear it down to build housing for his employees. Unfortunately she begins to fall in love with him again. Lincoln always loved Shanice, but she disappeared on him after dating for only six months. She left with no explanation and just a “Dear John” note. I enjoyed reading this book and can’t wait to read more by the author.

Not many New Years setting in books, that is why this avid reader enjoyed Josie Riviera's unique New Year romances. I read each story when it was released. Boxed sets are an inexpensive way to explore new authors or read books with unique settings or premises. Enjoy with your favorite chocolate.

A Chocolate Box New Years
Fresh pasta, star gazing, old movies and more. How many times would you bake a dessert for love? A Chocolate-Box New Years is unique that Lorenzo Rossi is a weatherman. As a reader and foodie, I wanted to visit and eat at Julie Elliot's The Pasta Junction restaurant. Together can they plan a perfect celebration. A sweet holiday romance.

A Chocolate Box Irish Wedding
A Chocolate -Box Irish Wedding is a Second Chance at Love HEA fairy tale. I enjoyed Josie Riviera's descriptive passage of the Wexford Irish country side. Enjoyed the Irish folklore with leprechauns, dreams, love, and blessings. Keira and Colum are brought together by their widowed parents finding love. Relatable characters, page turning plot and a believable resolution makes this a delightful New Year read. Recipe for Irish Soda Bread included.

1-800 NEW YEAR by Josie Riviera
This avid reader enjoyed the charm of a small town setting in Roses, North Carolina, the celebration of Kwanzaa, and conflicts of social economics. A fixer upper holiday read with intriguing characters (a penny pinching landscaper reunites with a successful toy company owner), unexpected conflicts, second chance at love, and a believable resolution and ending. Sweet Potato Pie recipe included.

A Chocolate-Box New Years - This is another wonderful and sweet romance from Josie Riviera. Julie owns an Italian restaurant that keeps her extremely busy. Lorenzo is the good-looking local weatherman. He scheduled an anniversary dinner at the restaurant and wants Julie to bake his grandmother’s cassata. The descriptions of this cake were so yummy I could almost smell it! This is a short, easy reading book you are sure to enjoy.

A Chocolate-Box Irish Wedding - Another wonderful book from Josie Riviera! This is a second chance for the young sweethearts who had parted ways decades ago to pursue their dreams. When they meet again, the spark is still there but they live in different towns and have their businesses there. Can they make it work for them? A short but heartwarming story!

1-800 NEW YEAR - A beautiful second chance for Lincoln and Shanice written in Ms. Riviera’s realistic, descriptive style. Sixteen years apart but the memories are still alive and new ones are being made. However, he is still the rich guy and she is still the poor girl. A must read!
I received an advance copy of this book from the author, however, I voluntarily wrote an honest review. All opinions are strictly my own.

cute short story
Lorenzo started falling for Julie when he looked up a place to host a first anniversary party for her mom and stepdad. He does all he can to spend time with her.

She. . . took a little longer to come around.

This isn't a HEA story. It ends at the beginning of their relationship... They seem to have learned to talk to each other so a HEA is expected.
