Penn State University. Home to the craziest sorority girls, most obnoxious football players, and a possible Vice President's son.
Sloane Beck wants nothing more than to have her cheating ex-boyfriend crawl back to her. Blake Day wants nothing more than to live out the rest of his college life without the media's spotlight on his back. What happens when Blake throws a deal out to Sloane that's almost too good to not consider?
But what if the deal that he was just throwing to her- isn't the whole story? What if the deal is somewhat the truth? The deal is in between the lines.
When I tell you, this woman has a way with wording heartbreak in the best way you could have ever imagined. From the way she wrote Sloanes heartbreak from what Caden and Blake did to her, to the way she wrote Blake’s heartbreak from what Sloane kept from him. She has a way with wording the most vulgar, heartbreak and unsettling things in the most beautiful way. From the problems that Sloane dealt with, to Blake’s moms problems, to the unstable family the two were raised in. All of it was breathtakingly beautiful. Every time I reread chapters I will feel more and more heartbreak. Blake had been dealt bad cards, but what Sloane had been dealt was worse. I can’t even imagine what pain and heartbreak the author had to go through to be able to put words to it so beautifully. It’s scary that it’s possible for people to feel this heartbroken and put it in such phenomenal words.
This book and etpf is honestly some of the best writing i’ve ever read, the characters, storylines and plot all perfect and i’ve never read a book that made me laugh cry and smile like an idiot. The character development Blake had it UNREAL and him and Sloane honestly perfect for each other. I will recommend this book until the day i die. and thank u NJ for writing these two incredible books can’t wait for the next one❤️🩹
ahhh i love this book with my entire heart i could never chose if i like this or even the playing feild more but i love how this is from the same group with the time frames of differences and how it’s two different peoples life’s and point of veiws so it’s really nice seeing what their life is like and how it builds on their characters and relationships from the first one. it does show little bits of some heavy topics to people but i like how they go into it and show it in awareness from the characters but also how it can help them and how they get though it with others i will be reading this again and i will forever connect and remember these characters as i love how it’s real and so well written and who the characters are and showing their change
no idea when i read this too but i thought i loved the first book but i liked this one even more 😭 got me all types of crying im gonna guess n put random dates for when i read this pls
If you rated this anything but a 5, I’m concerned for you because this book was incredible. Sloane’s story is so heart breaking. She’s put through so much and barely anyone notices aside from Blake and NJ. This was one of the first book I’ve read that accurately discusses what it is like to be anorexic. Blake also is a character that went through soooo much growth. While he was a total douchebag for a good portion of this series, you get to see another part of him in this book. I reread this book all the time. The real world connection was also kind of cool, although I don’t believe it to be totally necessary. Everyone read about Blake Day and plz fall in love with his toxicity like I did.

well well well NJ did it again! let me tell you after reading this book I have never wanted a grumpy boyfriend more in my life! this story really dived deep into the struggles that Blake Day faces which reflects on why the way he acts or why he takes or does the actions he does, i felt it gave me a much better perspective and look into his life. not only that but it also really touched on sensitive topics that Sloane Beck faces in her everyday life creating a much more realistic story and character to help the reader understand what it’s like being in college and facing all these struggles and issues. i fell in love with Blake Day and I can’t wait to fall in love with Reese Joseph in the last PSU book!
There will never be a man like Blake Day out there for me.
Do you know the TikTok audio where the girl talks about loving the villain more than the hero? Well, I feel like that villain is Blake day. Not in a super bad unacceptable way but enough that that audio resonates.
I'm sorry, I'm not good at writing reviews but just know this book is super good. I cried a lot but I felt the love even more🖤
The best book on the series, and my top 3 of ALL TIME. I would simply say how I would DIE for Sloane and Blake, my favorite couple in this world. God I remember how much I cried, scream, laugh and enjoy this book. I’ll go and read it again
4.5⭐️ I thought I liked the first book but this one definitely tops it. There was some clear character developtment and I just LOVED Sloane and Blake's relationship, they won a spot in my heart, they got me giggling, screaming, feeling the butterflies and my jaw really dropped a few times.
IM SO GLAD THIS IS ON GOOD READS. THIS SERIES IS JUST AMAZING. I FOLLOW THE AUTHOR ON EVERYTHING. SLOANE AND BLAKE WERE THE CUTEST COUPLE. I LOVE THEM. OMG. IM SO EXCITED FOR THE 3RD BOOK
I love this author will all my heart she is great. This book was so good it’s my favorite in the series so far, I love Blake day although I did want to kill him in the beginning but we got over that.
i didn't think i would like this book, but i can proudly say that i don't hate it and it's definitely better than the first one. we'll see how the third one is.
The emotional rollercoaster of this book is like nothing else🙌🏻 I promise you you'll fall in love with Blake and Sloane and their raw, real, messy, beautiful story❤
I swear this is amazing! I adored it so much and let me tell you... I cried when reading this. I truly did. Everyone should read this and get to know the person behind the words.
