The GOOD:
Straightforward writing that can say much in 50 pages. Good detailed sex scenes. Liked 31yo surgeon H's OTT obssessive-stalkery insta-love for h & his possessive-claimy “mine” with h. Loved his determination that she's “it” for him & wasn't waylaid by her resistances to their developing romance since he could tell that she was mutually attracted to him.

MEH or the BAD:
Didn't care for 19yo virgin receptionist h's overall standoffish-ness. She lacked the charm & down-to-earth likability of the h from Unmasking the Billionaire. This h just seemed too cold for my liking. She repeatedly kept pushing H away because she was scared to be so emotionally attached to a man like her mom was who committed suicide within the last year because her BF cheated on her. It became annoying. Lacked the humor & emotional pull of Unmasking the Billionaire. Average romance/pacing/S chem/emo.

Sexual History:
virgin h shared some kisses with boys back in high school but didn't feel any real attachments to any of them. H was selective with his choice of lovers over the years after some ONS experiences in college left him dissatisfied overall. He was also a workaholic so he preferred taking care of his sexual pleasure himself than casual sex. It sounded like he hadn't had any lovers in months. Possibly years. Until h.

3 stars. I liked the story, but there were just way too many typos - often totally wrong words and grammar errors. This story needs some major proofreading.

I went into this not expecting much but I kind of enjoyed it, even considering how short it was.

Keven was a true OTT hero. It didn't seem like he was going to be at first, but with each page, he grew more obsessed with Chloe. He was possessive, protective, besotted, jealous and I would also add overbearing. He knew from the moment he first saw her, that he wanted her, that she was it for him. It is hinted that he has been celibate for quite some time, being focused on his career.

As for Chloe, I had a little bit of an issue with her. As much as I admire a heroine who doesn't fall for the hero right away, and makes him work to win her over; I wished that her reasoning for refusing him and pushing him away had been different. I would've honestly been happy with the simple reason that ''it's going too fast and she barely knows him''...Instead, we are supposed to believe that she just places all men in the same basket because one single man cheated on her mother causing her to overdose. I can understand the fear, but I just thought that it was a tiny bit overdramatic.

Anywho! I kinda liked the dynamic between Kevin and Chloe. Like I said, I admired that she didn't give in right away, and that prompted him to attempt the art of wooing (lmao), flowers, asking her on dates (or rather inviting himself), showing how much he wanted her, etc.

I loved this story. I’m a sucker for a possessive alpha male, especially one that gets a bit obsessive so this was right up my alley. As Kevin grew more obsessed throughout the story so did my star rating until it earned a spot on my re-read shelf.

short n smokin hot

HOT DAYUMMMN!!

This was a super short, steamy little nugget of ooey gooey romantic goodness!!

Perfect for a busy day when u want to grab a quickie read!! Hero was obsessed and possessive, heroine was sweet n innocent, just how I like em! And I freakin LOOOVED how claiming her innocence gave him a sense of ferocious primal pride. SWOON!

Completely safe. Hero has been celibate for years, heroine is a virgin, no ow/om, no cheating or abuse of any kind, HEA with epilogue years out.

Kevin and Chloe

I've been obsessing over Emma Brady's obsession books for a while now. I can't stop reading them.
I got this book today and couldn't stop reading it. Kevin and Chloe have a whirlwind romance that is by chance. They meet by chance and meet again when she starts working at a hospital. From there, Kevin's obsession grows and soon we see them taking their relationship to the next level.
I liked the story. It's fun and sexy. If you love steamy, obsession novellas, this one is for you.

The was a good book. I like Chloe and Kevin together with their instant and intense connection and chemistry. Chloe is drawn to Kevin but fights her feelings because of what happened with her mom. Kevin will do anything and everything to get and keep Chloe with him. These two have some ups and downs but Chloe and Kevin get a really good HEA.

Quick Novella. I liked Kevin. A surgeon in his 30s, who is in good shape. He feels the need to save people, but does not like to be in the spotlight. He quickly becomes possessive of Chloe. I would say he borders on controlling. Chloe is a 19 year old virgin. She witnessed a man cheat on her mom, and then her mom committed suicide. This made her hypersensitive to putting her own emotions at risk of trusting a man. (I found this hard to believe.) Story concept is interesting. The character development was fine. Narration was good.

This was a good story. I liked both Chloe and Kevin. They had an instant connection and both had sadly lost their mothers. That loss really shaped who they were. I did think Kevin was a little aggressive towards the end and wanted him to be a little softer with Chloe since she was so unsure.

Completely safe. No ow drama, male nurse at hospital looks like he is flirting with h and H gets super possessive. Nothing happens. H has been celibate for a few years, not really a player since college. h is a virgin. No abuse.

Now all he can do is think about her until she shows up as a receptionist as the hospital where he's a surgeon. Chloe (h19) finds herself drawn to the doctor who insists they're meant to be together, but a tragic death has her love-averse and Kevin has to do his best to convince her they have a future together. Sweet heat romantic quickie with a side of angst and obsession.

Cute story, about a woman saved by a man. They wind up finding out they work together later on.

He's determined to convince her their soul mates. I liked that while he pushes when she says no the first date he's accepts that.

Oh, Dr. Blake!

Kevin saves Chloe's life and there an instant attraction, but they lose sight of each other for a few weeks, that's when Kevin's obsession started, but fate had more for them in store. Love the Dr trope

Sexy Dr saves Chloe's life but they part before they really meet. Down the line they find their way together again n Dr Kevin is intensely n aggressively intent on pursuing his little obsession. Her sweet little innocence melts in the face of his passionate smoldering. 😉😆

Emotional ~

Wow, there was a lot of heartbreak in this story. It was almost overwhelming, but that’s whatever a heart breaking does. It consumes you to the point where nothing else matters. Suddenly, something else, someone else mattered more. I loved the epilogue, but didn’t care for the jump to it.

KEVIN and CHOLE

I really liked this book... Of course, it is an insta-love book, and sometimes you just need that... But thank God the heroine didn't give in immediately!

It's refreshing to see a little resistance, a little chase, a little push, and pull in books of this genre.
It creates a story somewhat and not just a generic insta-love or a typical : boy meets girl, love at first glance, sex and a happily ever after...

"My soul has recognized its other half. I think it knew it that day on the beach, and that’s why my gaze had been so drawn to her. I’d risk my life to save her a thousand times over if only for the simple fact that I feel like I’ll cease to exist in a world where she doesn’t exist."

Kevin sees Chole on the beach and falls hard, but Chole is afraid of falling in love. Dr. Kevin is here to make everything better

I don’t know what’s going on in that pretty little head of yours or why you’re fighting this so much, but just know that in the end, you’ll be with me. I’ll be right here waiting for when you decide to accept that.”

It's definitely recommended.

Not how I expected this to go, but short and sweet, and insta-everything. Hero works too hard, heroine is looking for her place in the world. He saves her life, and loses his heart.
