When I landed in Cherry Falls after prison all those years ago, I had no idea what life had in store for me. Least of all, meeting my best friend’s sister who is about to drive me to madness. Hot damn.
I totally forgot how dirty Dani Wyatt’s books tend to be.
A good surprise, let me tell you.
There wasn’t much to this. Mostly just the tension and magnetism between these two characters, with a tiny bit of drama at the end to round things out.
But I’m thinkin the steam and the dirty talk pretty much made up for what the simple plot may have lacked.
There was the daddy kink. No real age play but hints of role playing fantasies. More of a middle than a little if anything.
Then there was some praise/degradation kink, some light spanking.
It was pretty hot.
I’m glad I picked this up.
It reminded me just how much I enjoyed this author’s books.
She’s got a dirty, dirty mind that I really enjoy.

Wonderful!! This was a nice quick, short read. I absolutely love it.
Jack meets Layla because of his best friend Carter. Jack finds out he is a father to Arianna, and his best friend Carter is taking care of Layla. So when Jack and Carter get together Layla and Arianna become best friends also. Jack is sending Arianna away to teach at a STEM camp for children, and Carter is leaving to go fire training. Carter asks Jack if he'll watch Layla while he is away, so Jack agrees to show her is business. Jack and Carter met at Jack's house, they all go swimming, and then play chicken. Carter tells Jack that he'll take Arianna to her camp since he's headed that way, then Arianna gets a message she needs to be at camp earlier. Jack gets an emergency call about a problem at work so he asks Layla if she wants to go with him. Jack goes to take care of the problem but one of the guys that's there recognizes Layla as a social media star. When one of the guys tries to take a swing at Layla she defends herself. Jack comes rushing in to help her. Jack cancels the groups charter and tells them they need to get their things off his boat. Jack and Layla head back to his home, he asks her about the guy. Layla tells Jack about the account she has on TikTok but she doesn't want Carter to know or he'll shut it down. Layla tells Jack she's never had a dad or daddy, he tells her he'll be it for her. Jack tells Layla he's dreamt of this moment he even has a notebook. Jack tells her to take his clothes off, then tells her to take her off also. They begin kissing, then he pleasures her. Jack tells her she belongs to him now. Jack takes Layla to his bed and lays her down, then he gets into the shower. Later Jack joins Layla in his bed, he shows her the notebook he's kept. While Layla reads what he's written, Jack pleasures her. When Layla goes to Jack to please him, he faints and he catches her. Jack makes Layla some food to eat and tells her she's going to start taking better care of herself, then he feeds her. Jack finds out about the stalker Layla has on her account, when she deletes him he creates another one. Jack confesses to Layla that he loves her, and she tells him she loves him also. Jack carries Layla to his bedroom, then they have sex. Jack takes Layla out on his boat, they go most of the day naked when no other boats were in sight, and make love under the sun. When they get back some of the girls that Arianna knows are at the dock, they invite Layla out for ice cream. Jack goes to his office and gets a phone call from Carter, he tells him he has something they need to talk about. Carter tells Jack that he's been seeing Arianna, Jack's daughter. As they are talking Jack can hear Arianna in the background. Carter asks where Layla is as Arianna is telling him her stalker is taking pictures of her. Jack doesn't wait he heads to were Layla is. Layla doesn't notice until one of the other girls point out the man taking her picture. Layla soon realizes who he is, then he comes over and tries to get her to come with him. Layla kicks him and the man goes down, but she notices he has a gun. Then Layla punches him in the throat and he goes down, she then hears Jack and she is pulled away and he's standing in front of her. Layla tells Jack he has a gun and soon the sheriff is there pulling Jack off the man and handcuffing the man who attacked Layla. A month later, Layla and Arianna get ready for their wedding together and walk each other down the aisle. Jack and Carter are waiting for them at the end. Both girls have a surprise, they are both pregnant. Nine months later, Layla gives birth to a girl they name Penelope. Arianna gave birth a week earlier to a boy they named Carter JR. Arianna and Carter moved to Cherry Falls to be closer to Jack and Layla. Six years later, they have four kids, Penelope, Jacqueline, Rebecca, Jackson and one on the way. Arianna and Carter stopped at two kids, Penelope and Carter jr will be graduating kindergarten. Layla still does her TikTok, but she really posts. I thoroughly enjoyed this story. Older man and younger woman. Mild DDLG. The storyline was exciting and entertaining, and I loved the characters. The story was fast paced, but still easy to follow, and really enjoyable. Overall a lighthearted read.

This was a great story! I couldn't put it down. I love reading Dani Wyatt's books.
