When Haley discovers the truth behind Xavier, whose silence holds a deeper meaning, she sets her mind on making his life better one small step at a time.
*****
Haley Rosamond is happy with her simple life, content under the wing of her father. Well-protected, she has no idea of the darkness surrounding Xavier Hunt, with his all-black attire and infrequent presence in school-accompanied by his bruises and scars. That is, until Haley catches a glimpse of Xavier's reality and is made to question everything she knows about family and life in general. The truth, she realizes, couldn't be more different from everything she has heard. Supported by her father, Haley sets her mind on helping Xavier any way she can, and what begins with tutoring sessions, free food, and random acts of kindness blooms into friendship and something a little more. But when Haley's admission into her dream college and another tragedy in Xavier's life threaten to undo everything she has worked for, Haley needs to decide if she'll stick by Xavier or simply be another person in his life that disappears.
TJIS WQS SO GOOD 😖😖 haley and xavier were so cute ☹️ and a haley defender first human second !! so many ppl hating on her for saying one thing…. just say u hate women 😒
Decided to read a wattpad book after many years just because I felt like it 😂 and although this wasn't bad, like the writing was better than expected as well as the overall story it's more evident to me now that I definitely outgrew wattpad and my taste in books and type of writing changed alot lol but yeah a solid 3 stars ⭐⭐⭐.
Ehem, let me just start off with: Haley and Xavier are just *chef's kiss*
I read Knowing Xavier Hunt (previously titled as Knowing Xavier) back in May. There's a different edition of this on Goodreads by someone named Dolly Lila and that was why I didn't put that in my library. Imagine my surprise when I went and searched up 'Knowing Xavier' in Goodreads again to find that there's another record of KXH, this time with the right author name?
I can't say I remember the whole story, it's been a long interval of time (and books) between the time I read it on Wattpad, but I do remember quite a few bits and bobs. If you're planning to read this story, I'd suggest you to steer clear from the comments section? It's just that a lot of people there fall in the category of 'women-bashing-women', and I didn't really like that. C'mon, Haley did no wrong, you didn't need to act as if you're superior over her. She's the nicest, kindest, cutest, everything-nice-est person ever!
Anyway, everything was amazingly great about this. The story was amazing, Haley is amazing, Xavier is amazing, Elijah (Haley's dad) is amazing, everything written by the amazing author, Daisy, is amazing.
Imo, this book deserves a serious round of applause.
I finished this in hours, in literally one sitting. That's how good it was. No matter what point of the book I was at, I couldn't put it down. The words felt real, everything was just so realistic. For starters, the characters are not perfect. If there's anything I love, it's flaws in characters. It's the realism. 'Xavier isn't a big, bad, bodybuilder. He isn't like those guys you read in books about, with six packs and biceps and superhero-like strength. Xavier is human. He's just a teenager, with lean arms, a beautiful face, and oceans of sadness in his eyes.' He would not let anyone else get hurt, but he would hurt himself. This story is based off a real life story which makes it even more heartbreaking to read what he's been through. I'm glad he found closure in everything that had happened to him and eventually found love. It's what he deserved after how everyone, including his family, treated him. I love Xavier, I love Haley, I love Elias, and I love this book. It was hard to read it with a straight face but that made me love it even more. By no means is this a beautiful book with characters happy, with families perfect and pampered teenagers. It's messy, it's brutal and it's real. 5/5.
This book felt very familiar…in that I have read it 100 times before in other stories by other writers. There was nothing distinguishable about Haley, Xavier, or the forced edgy darkness of their love story.
There were many times where I wondered if the author had ever actually been in a relationship or in love because of how forced and unrealistic some of the scenes were presented. I wish there was something else to like about the characters besides trying to make the reader feel pity for them.
The MCs were not well fleshed out, which made them feel very 2D. There were also some awkwardly written sentences and passages throughout the story which didn’t flow very well in English. I almost didn’t finish the book but forced myself to. I wouldn’t however read it a second time.
It's 1 of really good stories u can find in wp. Its a gem seriously and far from cliche. U definitely should give it a try! Its a healing story and yea with bit of self discovery. What is it being content means. Sometimes we dont have to follow ppl or world greatest desire instead by choosing what makes us happy n content is enough.
This book is masterpiece truly amazing the characters were prescious and whole thing was I can't describe in my world. This book every emotions, Xavier wasn't who I thought he is. I love this man so much that ending made me Read it again and again. One of the book always be remembered
LOVED LOVED LOVED Never felt so attached to a book. This isn’t the same romance book you see 100s of times. This book was so easily relatable and left me itching to read more
i love this story with my whole volumpcious chest bruhhh I LOVE HALEY AND XAVIER THEYRE YHE MOST NON TOXIC COUPLE IVE SEEN *SOBS* THE CUTEST LIL SAPIENS WITH THE STRONGEST HEARTS❤️
I JUST REALIZED THIS BOOK WAS ACTUALLY PUBLISHED. This book stole my soul, I swear. I went through a roller coaster of emotions and this book had sooo much to say. Truly beautiful.
This one obviously felt like a Wattpad book. I barely made it through some of the cringy scenes and her impulsiveness, but I survived and the ending was actually pretty good.
This book is very good! It is a typical Wattpad book and it is a form of reading I feel I will always have a soft spot for!
The story follows Haley and Xavier. Haley is a smart girl in grade 12 and she decides to help her classmate Xavier pass his classes. I love this story! I see allot of myself in Haley cause I was the type that always wanted to help others in high-school and see them work hard for what they want. I love how Xavier is seen as a bad boy but it’s totally not the case. It shows that you should never judge a book by its cover. You never truly know what someone is struggling with and that’s why I feel you should always be nice to others.
Reading this book felt so kind, I truly loved the way the story was portrayed. It made me feel all warm inside and really took me back to my old Wattpad reading days! It’s just one of those stories and that makes you happy.
