Graydon's Armor is bestowing its power on players throughout King's League, and not all of them think like Dirk.
When a vicious player-killer begins to wreak havoc in his own corner of King's League, Dirk decides that the only way he can put a stop to it is by gathering up his friends and creating a balanced party capable of standing up against some of the game's toughest challenges.
As Dirk helps Stoneburner and others level up to survive the coming encounter, he discovers that finding Graydon's Sight wasn't just good luck...it was the start of a game-changing development that will impact every player in King's League!
Enjoy the midway point of this LitRPG epic by Associated Press and USA Today best sellers Jason Anspach and J. N. Chaney!
Book 3 starts very soon after the epic conclusion of 86-Neon. It's a continuation of the story started in Book 1, which is where you should definitely start, if you haven't. There are many references back to episodes and characters in the previous books, and the books are exciting and enjoyable in their own right. Dirk, Stoneburner, Nogg (played by Dirk while Brian is studying and taking final exams), Spyce, and Rose become a team in this book. Dirk and Spyce are mentoring the others by taking on challenging, exciting quests and adventures as they gain trust in each other and experience. The plan is to bring get everyone up to higher levels so they will be able to take down a player killer who is terrorizing other players. It's not the ending I expected or hoped for and leaves an opening for a (hopefully) eventual Book 4.
There is more plot in this and the next stage is revealed. We get a lot more of Dirk and Stoneburner, plus a couple of cool new characters. I'm ready for the next one.
Well crafted action and adventure as yet again our friend Dirk has to face those who are greedy again. Some great surprises and character developments setting this up for a few books yet.
This is a really fun series. I have read a lot of litrpg books recently, but never really played the game. Unlike some in the genre this book does not get hung up in the overly technical details and character stats like many others. A lot of fun.
Started slow but it was worth hanging in. Definitely to much introspection in the first 50% of the book but it got better and the epilogue was awesome.
My only complaint is that he hesitated when Fyre stopped reacting. That's something only an amateur would do.
