While living in Japan, she found it very difficult to find books to read that were written in English. This situation was intolerable as she was an avid reader and had been known to resort to reading cereal boxes if nothing else was available. Have you ever tried to read a cereal box written in Japanese? It was not a pretty picture. Ms. Maguire began writing her own books just to have something to read. She discovered a new passion in writing; thus her career as a romance novelist was born.
She was voted Best Up and Coming Author of the Year and her novel Desert Heat was voted Best Romance of the Year by the Affaire de Coeur Magazine. Her novels Cabin Fever and No Lady and Her Tramp was in the Top Ten at the Preditor & Editors Poll. Her novel Affairs of the Heart was an Amazon Number One book in Sensual Romance.
Although Ms. Maguire is originally from the South and will always remain Southern at heart, she and her husband now live in a small town in Nevada. During her expatriate years, she lived in St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands, Aruba, Thailand, Japan and three times in Saudi Arabia.

Marcie, the main character, takes your breath away as she lives the fantasies that women (and men) only dream of, and rarely admit.
Marcie's story is that of a happily married woman who fights the attraction between herself and her new boss. Can one woman truly love two men at the same time? Can one woman enjoy physical and emotional bonds with two men? Maguire gives us the answers.
Secondary plot twists add to the suspense as Marcie's life becomes more and more entangled with her two loves, Steve and Jim. Her climatic decision comes down to physical desires and emotional well-being played against spiritual considerations and the stability of a long-standing marriage. Her decision may surprise you.
