Chosen #19
My Hero, Lincoln
Crawford Russell
Lincoln Reed saved my life one night nearly five years ago when my drunken father almost killed me. I left town that night with my little sister and didn't come back until my father died two years later, and by that time, Lincoln was going to college out of state. I haven't seen him in person since that night, but we've kept in touch via text, call and video chat almost since I've been back to Crossville TN and falling more and more in love with him each day. Now he's coming back to town and needs a place to stay until he finds his own. In a moment of stupidity, I offer him the extra room in my house. I know I don't have a chance with the gorgeous man. He's a sleek, beautiful, educated man with a heart of gold, and I'm a grizzled bar owner who's scarily close to following in his father's alcoholic footsteps.
Lincoln Reed
Accepting Crawford's offer to come stay with him when I get back to Crossville is both a dream come true and absolutely terrifying. As a shifter, there is always that chance I'm going to find my mate which SHOULD deter me from falling in love with anyone who isn't him. Should. Hasn't. I'm head over heels for my brother's best friend and I'm about to be spending a lot more time with him. To say I'm shocked when I first see Crawford in person after five years––or more appropriately my first smell him––is an understatement, and it explains everything. My excitement is short lived when he disappears one day while I'm out, and a slip up from a streak member tells me I have every reason to be worried about what has happened to my mate.
Warning: Mpreg elements!
Also, my books have little to no angst, and lots and lots of fluff! They are better read in order, because I kind of write them like a continuation of a story, and I don't like to repeat explanations over and over if I can help it. No cheating, because that makes my heart hurt, and I try to avoid things that make me sad like I SHOULD be avoiding carbs. Sorry, I just don't want anyone being disappointed if they like the angst filled heart-rippers. These read more like a romantic comedy than a romantic drama.
Enjoy!! ::blowing you kisses::

Lovely series addition, featuring a heart-warming friends-to-lovers romance between newly discovered mates, gentle-giant and a human chosen, Crawford, and his best-friend’s younger brother, tiger shifter, Lincoln.
I liked these two a lot. They are one of my personal favourite fated pairs over this long-running series.
I enjoyed how well-established Lincoln and Crawford’s friendship was, with a dash of unrequited love from each unsuspected side. I also liked that the mate connection wasn’t detectable until they were both of age—this was a nice little bonus, making their childhood bond all the more precious.
The action and drama were glimpsed over, sort of shown in “scene flashes” with significant time jumps, but I didn't mind so much. It’s basically assumed that if you’re reading this book, then you’ve read the book that came before it, therefore knowing about all the chosen people who were kidnapped by the crazy streak alpha, and the rescue that ensued, and, subsequently, the involvement Crawford and Lincoln played in this. As such, this story very much runs parallel to the events in Stealing the Cowboy's Hat, and should be read in correct reading order.
Once again, I liked the little introductions we gained of new characters and potential future couples. Although the endings of these books are always kind of abrupt, I always find myself intrigued enough to want to flow right into the next story… and I will.

Crawford and Linc were just wonderful, and their story worked very well too. The author managed to get me to cry a time or too, which I didn't mind. Over all a very enjoyable addition to the series!

He's been your hero since before he saved your life, the first time. How do you tell him you love him?
This is one great book. I loved it! This series continues to grow, exceeding my expectations. I am drawn back into the Chosen world, as the characters come alive.
Crawford has loved Linc since he was a teenager. After Linc saves him from his abusive dad, Crawford escapes with his younger sister. Coming home after his father's death, he reunites with Linc. Linc has never stopped loving Crawford. Imagine their surprise when not only is Crawford a chosen, but he is Linc's mate! A kidnapping, violence, and a rescue will try their bond, but HEA is assured. You will love this book!
This is one continuous storyline, so please read the first 18 books in order. You will be glad you did.
This book contains adult themes and language, mm sex and is intended for mature readers only.

Linc and Crawford were so sweet together and they truly cared about each other long before they became mates. I enjoyed the humor that was bouncing off of the characters from page to page and found myself giggling often throughout the story. However, the only difficult part about this was reading about when the chosen are held captive, which was pretty brutal, but once they're saved I get the warm fuzzies all over again. I loved this book and I love this series.=)

Love
This one has me giggling and at the edge of my seat with the way Lincoln was handling the news to tell his long time friend they were mates. It was all so funny especially when his brother tried to help.

Enjoyable
I love that I can depend on this series to make me smile. Linc and Crawford were both a bit clueless, but they were sweet together and had a fun, friendly, relationship even before they mated.

Mpreg mentioned but not the MCs and nothing graphic on page.
I liked the dynamic between Crawford and Lincoln. Crawford is a big burly human now, but he wasn't always and when he was a teenager Lincoln saved him from being strangled by Crawford's dad. Crawford took off after that, with his younger sister, only returning to their small town when his Dad died and unexpectedly left him the house and a life insurance policy. Lincoln by then left for college and hadn't been back since until now. Lincoln must save Crawford again, this time when he is kidnapped by the "bad" shifters.
This is a quick (90 pages) romp with very little angst (even the flashback of the near strangling was written in a way that sort of dampened the effect). Its basically instalove fluff.

Now it’s my favorite from the series!
This is a shifter/paranormal suspense romance series, the nineteenth book in the series and it has to be read in order. This is the first of the tiger Group, harkens back to one of the previous couples from this Tennessee location. This is another one of the stories that’s my favorite, so much is packed into this little tale! I was getting tired of the series but the last two were fantastic!Seriously go back to book one to start this series as they literally read like one continuous story, you will encounter the couples from the previous stories.

I love this series
Short, steamy, very little angst and hot. Lincoln and Crawford's story is as sweet as the others, I just want the stories to keep coming. Kind of like visiting old friends in each story. J. D. Light, please keep up the good work.

Thank you, Ann Attwood Editing and Proofreading Services!!!
As always, loved the characters, but I felt like there was a big chunk of the story missing from the rescue scene... anyone else feel that way?
Anyways, totally looking forward to Grayson and Beckett's story... *grin*

My Hero. Lincoln
Well...I enjoy this series, or did... this one seems rushed. Maybe the author should end the series if they are running out of ideas? I'm not sure why but I just didn't care for this one as much.

Lincoln and Crawford were a fun pair. I loved that they'd been friends first. Their story was super fun though I missed the leap. I'm realizing we might not get to see the leap anymore and that sucks.

Crawford and Lincoln
I 5hought I missed something and I read out of order to realize the stories overlap. phew. Fun story and it's going to be great if Decker has a story too. I'm looking for payback from his brother or best friend.

Loved It
Lincoln and Crawford were made for each other. This book was really well written, and I laughed so hard at certain points in the story that I just teared up. I loved the humor in this one. Can't wait to read about Decker finding his mate

Sweet story
Crawford and Lincoln were so sweet and I loved the confusion at the beginning and how it resolves itself. It was hot and loving.
I loved how the story is now changing direction, but still on the same theme and I can't wait to meet all these new people

Funny as always
I keep being surprised at how much story the author puts in these short books. I'm already looking forward to the next book in the series.

Quick & Funny
A quick read, funny with a little action & angst, but the few misspellings can be distracting.
Can be read as a stand alone

Childhood crush to cater mate
Another short, sweet and satisfying read in the Chosen Series. I love the characters, the fun... And that it's just a dash of drama for spice. Love it!

A good match .
These two people make a good match . They both grew up loving each other but being clueless to the fact that that love was shared both ways .

Friends forever
I really do like the whole narrative of being friends for a long time and then realizing you're soulmates. It changes the instalove a bit and makes it better.
