I received an arc copy of The Luna Queen Awakens and I think it was a good start to this series. The love, spice, war, and unity are abundant in this book. I haven’t read a pack book in a long time so it was refreshing for me to come back to my reading roots.
This starts off with a bang! Throwing you straight into war and loss. Mal losing her best friend and mate Jared and also suffering from a devastating injury was a crazy way to start the book. We didn’t have an emotional connection with any characters at this point so it made the loss easier on us. Wishing the first 5 chapters we go through character overload. There are so many characters you meet that it was hard to figure out who was going to stay relevant and who was making cameo. It made the start of the book overwhelming but it is totally worth the read once you get past that.
I struggled with connecting with any of the characters until about half way through the book but the detailing and character building kept my attention. It was refreshing to get the back story on so many characters finding their mates in the same book! I feel like that never happens and most couples would have their own books, however it was nice to see them bond and form in one book and give other characters their time to shine as the series continues.
I gave this book 4 stars due to the authors way of telling this story and the details they use to describe the fighting sections and world building. Also just the difference in writing that I have never experienced! I can’t wait to see how this world evolves. I definitely cannot wait to see how Ellie grows up lol She’s is a spitfire!
This book is freaking fantastic. The heroine a badass who beats her opponents from the comfort of her wheelchair alongside her mate and a cast of fun and interested characters living in a post war Era. Will Malinda unlock the secrets of her own life in time to prevent more war?
Autumn Marie has this beautifully tragic way of ripping out my heart, providing me all the spice, and making me choke on my water from laughter. I am not a wolf-shifter girlie and it didn't matter. I was hooked and thoroughly loved this series and Autumn's writing the whole way. It feels like sitting in the character's head and listening to an entire conversation between the best wingwolf in the world and their person counterpart. I also loved the fight scenes, phew that opening prologue though, be prepared. Fantastic read and fantastic representation, love it.
I was giving this book by the author as it has just gone through a massive round of edits with that being said here is my honest review-
HOLY SPICE/ HOLY ACTION/ HOLY TEARS!!
This book made me happy, made me angry, made me laugh, made me CRY more then once!! The twists and turns were fantastic! Mal is a badass and I love that she never lets her wheelchair slow her down!!
I can not wait for this book the re-release so I can buy it and read it again!!
Probably one of the best books I've ever read. This book kept me entertained and never got bored. I am now reading the book again because it's hard to put it down. I recommend this books to all my friends that are into fantasy, romance, and werewolves.
Luna has suffered an incredible loss, her mate and her ability to walk. But that has not made an effect on her spirit.
3 years after the war she is regaining her sense of self, her body and her new reality. Then in comes Landon to turn everything on its head. As an Alpha and her true mate, he is everything that she has been waiting for.
But with a jealous female in the wings, a small wolf shifter to steal both of her hearts and a looming war, can their love over come all?
The luna Queen Awakens is an utterly phenomenal book that hooks you in from the first chapter and keeps you hooked till the end and leaves you wanting more. Autumn does an amazing job with her character building, the interpersonal relationships and the pulling on the heart strings! Cannot wait for the next book in this series! No cliffy's here and so far a HEA!

This was an interesting read. I liked that you were able to learn more about the side characters through their own POVs. The only thing that really bothered me about the POV change was when it went to “Third Person”. I just felt like because it was so randomly done, it kind of took me out of the story any time it happened. The writing overall is okay, but I did feel like it read a bit like a diary at time, where you just hear someone’s run-on thoughts. I also felt like “I’m not going to lie” was way overused by many characters. If it was one character’s quirk and mannerisms I could understand it more, but it seemed like almost every character said it at some point, so something that started to take me out of the story.
I loved reading about Mal, Landon and Ellie, but I do wish there was a bit more about why Mal being Queen was so important. It seemed like that part of the plot kind of got lost along the way, until it was remembered at the end.
Overall, I liked the story and thought it was interesting, however I did think there was some room for improvement with the overall writing.
This book does have some triggers, so read the warnings first.
It starts off by throwing you straight into war and loss. Since there isn’t an emotional connection with the characters yet, it made the loss easier. The first roughly 5 chapters are written with a lot of characters. It was a little hard to figure out who was going to stay relevant and who was making cameo. It is worth the read once you get past the first few chapters of character building. The story of Malinda losing her first mate and receiving a devastating injury to her finding her second chance mate, Landon, was emotional, sweet, and showed the ability of mates to love despite challenges. Landon never saw Malinda’s disability as anything other than it being just who she is. He knew she was especially strong despite it all & loved her regardless.
I really liked this book and can’t wait to see where the author takes this series.
The Luna Queen Awakens is the first book of The Queen’s Court series by Autumn Marie.
💜 bad 🍑 FMC 💜 royalty 💜 mysteries 💜 fated mates 💜 wolf shifters and witches 💜 🌶🌶🌶🌶 spicy spice
Malinda is a luna that was injured in the Great War. Not only that, but she lost her mate and alpha during that time as well. For some reason, her body just won’t heal. So she is working with a physical therapist to try to heal her body and make her stronger. She has to use a wheelchair to get around and her wolf, Sahara, won’t come out and shift. Will she be able to heal? If she does, will she be able to go back to her old pack or find a new one?
This story was so good. I loved how this isn’t a typical wolf shifter book where everyone heals immediately, but the main character has lasting injuries that require her to change how she lives. I loved how she was able to still defend herself and not have to rely on others. This was a great start to a new series. I can’t wait to see what the next book will bring.
ALRIGHT Shifters are my dirty pleasure, and this book again shows me why. This book made me cry, made me smile, made me angry, sad and happy. The story was written amazingly, and I totally love that there was a bad ass heroine. (Im a sucker for one of those too) The pacing was great, and not once did I feel a lag. The diversity used in this book, as well as representation is top tier level, and Im so glad I finally read it! Granted, I had to stop at some points to knock out ARC reads, this was the book I kept pulling back up when I was done with them. I needed to see where the story landed. Totally recommend for sure!
This is the first book I have read by this author Autumn Marie, I didn't know what I was expecting before I started this book but once I read the first chapter I found it hard to out down. I have a guilty pleasure for shifter books.
This book keeps you hooked as it isn't your normal shifter romance book, there are twist and turns through out the book that keeps you engaged.
I won't give and spoilers out in my reviews but this is a must read, you will enjoy it just as much as I do if you enjoy shifter romance that isn't your typical shifter book.look forward to book 2.
The story of Malinda & Landon was a sweet story of second chance mates that showed the ability of mates to love despite challenges.
Landon never saw Malinda’s disability as anything other than it being just who she is. He knew she was especially strong despite it all & loved her regardless.
Malinda was a strong Luna & a compassionate mate. I absolutely loved the fact that she could put Landon in his place while simultaneously submitting/showing her love.
And can we just say….Ellie. That is all, love her!
This was a very good read that I would recommend to anyone!
I received an arc copy of this book and I enjoyed my time with it! With emotional moments, diverse character representation, and of course spice, this was an easy book to get into. Giving their wolves their own name and identity was something that I haven’t seen in other books and I thought that was cool. There are multiple povs on display, with an occasional shift from first to third. It’s a little jarring but doesn’t detract from the overall story. Looking forward to reading more from this author!
This is my first Autumn Marie book. I'm definitely adding the rest of the series to my TBR. Let's talk triggers since too many people complain. The triggers are listed, so review at your leisure. It's spicy and we love it that way. Enough said.
I will admit it did take me several chapters to find my reading flow. I found myself liking Landon and even Jared more than Mal. Landon brings out the best of his mate. But then again I'm a sucker for a wolf shifter. I really want to see Ellie grow her sassy confidence.
Holy emotional read. This book started off tugging at my heart strings and kept going. It was absolutely amazing. It is a story of lost love and new live and soul mates and second chances. Malinda is so strong and amazing. The characters and story are so well written I could not stop reading I had to see how it ended. The spice was phenomenal and the banter between the characters and inter monologs had me laughing my butt off. I will definitely recommend this book.
Losing her mate and getting injured during a battle didn’t keep Malinda down. She becomes an amazing warrior that doesn’t let her wheelchair or disability stop her. When she finds her second chance mate and finds out her true destiny she becomes even more determined to protect her pact. I found this book to be very fast paced and hard to put down! Definitely will be checking out the next book in the series.
This book was different from. What I usually read but I am glad that I gave it a go. The DMC has suffered loss and heartbreak as well as the ability to walk but as much as it breaks her she slowly finds herself again and go onto be a kickbutt heroine. With a second chance and a pack at her back she goes and takes no prisoners. The steam is there but so are the triggers so be warned and read through beforehand.
… into a new series. It’s not your typical shifter romance, but it draws you in and gives you an ending that is satisfying but with a twist that makes you want more. Lots of twists throughout this book, and a villain you don’t expect. I’m purposefully avoiding spoilers here. If you want to know what happens, you’ll have to read the book too!
Action, Love and Heartbreak, what more could you ask for in a Shifter book. This book starts off with a BANG/Heartbreak (totally hooked). It takes you on an entire ride of so many emotions and lots of action that you can't catch your breath until the very end when you put it down and think - WOW! Brilliantly Written and a top fav shifter book/author.
This was a very easy story to get into. I found it very interesting that their wolves were separate entities that paired within them. The characters were very easy to understand, and the plot wasn't too complicated. A nice little palate cleanser of a story that keeps you intrigued until the end. 3.5 stars.
This book has everything you want in a book, steam, heartache, action packed, and shifters! We start right off with bang and sucks you in and doesnt let go. Not even when the book ends and has you dieing for the next book. The story progressed nicely and moved fast. The characters all win your heart the emotions you get from them. A great way to start a series.
This story follows Malinda on her journey. She is wheelchair bound and without a mate or pack so we think. Landon is alpha of the full moon pack he lost a lot during the battle. We also meet several other amazing characters. The plot twists within this story will keep your head spinning. Also that ending will leave you wanting more.
Everyone should read this series! I've just finished the first book and I absolutely loved it! The author was able to write a fated mate werewolf story but make it about so much more as well. It was action packed, had drama and twists and turns that as a reader wouldn't except at all!
This is my first book by this author and I enjoyed it. This story is packed full of characters. Along with the twists & turns that come from multiple characters. Mel is a strong FMC and Luna Queen.
This was a great book. The FMC was a kick ass werewolf left in a wheelchair after war. She doesn't let that stop her from anything. This book includes tragedy , humor, love and hate and it gives you all the feels.
This is one of my favorites kinds of books, I love the themes presented in this book. I've read a lot of shifter/ werewolf books and this one was one i enjoyed dearly! Following Malinda on her journey was super fun and i definitely had some feels spill out! ❤️
A fabulous story that had me gripped throughout with it's action, steam and cast of amazing characters. Malinda, Landon and Ellie were fabulous. A really refreshing shifter story that had love, loyalty and laughter.
