LOVE!!

If you love Reader’s Digest because of the thought provoking, heartwarming, and/or humorous short stories, then you’re going to LOVE Pardon My Quirk! Mo Barrett is a masterful storyteller who sucked me right into each and every one of her stories. Her sarcastic, dry wit will have you belly laughing and her loving recollection of heartfelt stories will surely pull at your heartstrings. The only thing you’ll be left wishing, is that her stories could go on and on! I’m sad when they’re over! (When is your next one coming out???) Buy it-you’re gonna love it!

LOVE IT! I laughed, I learned, I thought. Mo is an expert story teller, an outstanding senior military officer, and a grateful survivor of a purple child-eating dragon. A must read for anyone who has ever served, flown an airplane, dealt with aging parents, been in a relationship, played sports, failed, overcame adversity, or simply likes to laugh. Well done!

Short and sweet, Mo Barrett shares with us lessons from a well-lived life. Her humor shines through in such a way that I suspect it would be even funnier to listen to.

Just an AMAZING pick me up!

I really can't say enough about this book. It is funny, light, amazingly positive, but with subtle not-so-little messages built in.

Each vignette was generated by some experience from the author's life. Considering the author is a US Air Force Academy graduate and a career Air Force officer, there was a lot to pick from. However, the stories just weren't about flying or graduating from a top school, they were very personal issues such as the death of her father, learning from failure, and discovering her sexuality. Each story is amazingly personal, and while funny, also encourages the reader to reflect on their own circumstances. My favorite thing about this book is that at the end of each short story, Barrett poses a question challenging the reader to codify when they were in a similar situation or learned a similar lesson.

In the end, after reading this book, you know more about the author, more about yourself, and your sides hurt from laughing. Highly recommended for...well, EVERYONE.

Interesting read

Woman Air Force pilot, who came from a military family, wrote this book. Lots of stories about her training, some about her childhood, and a couple about she and her partner.
