It's hard to ascertain when one has finished "reading" a book that ia an adult coloring book, lol. However, I did finally get enough time to sit down with the book to go through it in detail. So, I'm considering today's date as that finish date. As far as creating art in the book, that will probably be ongoing for the rest of my life.
I really do like Rita Berman's book. Unlike some of the other adult coloring books I've seen, that are very large, and which I find a bit daunting, this one is the perfect size. It's not too small either, but feels comfortable in my hands. I can work with it on a bed tray or at a table. The paper is a good quality, not too thin, and it handles my colored pencils quite well.
I love her subject matter, pictures from a variety of cities in Europe, as the title of the book, "Meine Reise durch Europa" means "My Journey through Europe." In a way, it gives me the sense of someone's collection of photos from their vacation.
The pictures themselves are very creative; Ms. Berman has a wonderful imagination when creating these pictures for us to bring to life with color.
I look forward to getting more of Ms. Berman's books.
(I pre-ordered this book in June but only received it late September, thus I totally forgot to include it in Goodreads.)
I think I like this one even better than the compilation of the "seasons" books, because there are so many pictures in which I want to colour. Also, I just love travel-themed illustrations, as we are still in semi-lockdown.
The paper, layout (size, etc.) and style (realistic yet whimsical) are much the same as her previous book, so my comment/review is going to be the same too.
