En route home after their latest mission, Captain Jackson Adams and his covert unit are diverted for immediate reassignment. The Coalition Defense Force is undertaking a major refit of their long-range sensor network as the Terran Coalition navigates the troubled waters of a tentative peace with the League of Sol.
PASCORE was designed to detect enemy incursions, and the expansion will extend the network’s reach to allies in neutral space and the Saurian Empire. There’s been no direct evidence of League interference, but Coalition Intelligence isn’t taking any chances after inferior equipment is discovered and anti-military protestors converge.
All blind to the threat the enemy still poses.
Jackson’s unit infiltrates various factions to expose suspected League involvement and neutralize any disruptions before they occur. But distrust still permeates the team after his previous actions put them all at risk. As they close in on their nemesis, Jackson’s obsession once again threatens the entire operation.
Hazards Near: in Book 3 in Deception Fleet by Daniel Gibbs. The League of Sol is still trying to destroy the Terrain Coalition though they have signed a Peace Treaty. Captain Jackson Adams and his spy group are working to keep the League of Sol from destroying the PASCORE, which defects enemy incursions within neutral space of allies and the Saurian Empire. There is a lot of family drama for Jackson as well as glitches with his intelligence team. There is so much excitement and action. The League is close to destroying PASCORE. I was not sure if Jackson and his team would save the day. Although Hazards Near just might be the most exciting action packed book of the series, I can't wait to read book 4. I received an arc for free and am leaving my review voluntarily.
The cold war is heating up, so Jackson's work as a secret agent is not slowing down. Unfortunately, neither is his personal life. All of that combined with his near-obsession on the less-than-amicable chess match between him and "Vasily" result in sloppy work and hurt friends. The author's writing still thrills me with his mastery of the action suspense thriller while being gentle enough to reveal the human frailty and honour at the heart of the story. Fans of the Mission Impossible TV series may find this worth reading - I certainly do.
I received an ARC from the author and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
Once again Jack takes his team out to spoil the leagues plans in a fast pace book that is easy to read. Jack finds himself again questioning him self after action pushes him a little to far.
For those that have never served in the armed services, always questioning ones self to insure you are on the right side of the tracks, when in difficult spots, is real and Daniel uses his own experiences to bring this out to his readers
Another enjoyable, fast-paced read from these authors. The conflict continues as Jackson and Vassaily continue their game of cat and mouse. Once again, the world building and continuing character development are well done. Though there were a few more instances of incorrect or missing words, it wasn’t enough to distract me from the story. I look forward to reading the next book in this series and recommend the entire series to anyone who enjoys Science Fiction and adventure.
Jacksons team of spies is on the trail of saboteurs backed by the League.
Jackson, Gina, Sev, and Brant are the base group of Coalition spies helped by and lead by Sinclair and his team. They have ran across this group of League spies before and this time it gets too personal and the team is under attack
Another excellent chapter in the continuing fight between two bitter enemies, action from start to finish with more to come the fight goes on in book 4 already bought and paid for . I can't recommend it highly enough but and enjoy
Lots of battles, great plot twists and turns. No sex. Clear division of good guys and bad guys. Spy-craft, amazing tech, galaxy-wide fights. Books 1-3 all good reads
I don't know which part I'm cheering for more....the thwarting of Kiel or Jackson growing in God awareness. The saga continues, and I want to be there for every twist.
Interstellar spies battle for the future of humanity
The long war ended in a treaty promising peace, but the League of Sol has plans to conquer the Terran Coalition from within. Can they be stopped, or will the Coalition collapse, as ancient Rome did?
I like the story and will continue to follow it. This episode bothered me with constant, quick, scene changes, eh from Jackson to Sinclair to Jackson's mother etc.
