Dive into the season's finale with Nicole and her Demigods friends.Being a superhero is exhausting−Nicole knows that well. Since the Gods have done nothing but put her through unimaginable tortures, she’d have every reason to join the Corpse King in his quest for revenge. Yet, joining the vengeful king would be a terrible and drastic action.
As she tries to stop him from leaving Olympus, after kidnapping the twelve Hours, Nicole’s power arises—revealing that she can jump through time. An ability unheard of by the Gods, because only Chronos himself can control time…
And now that the Corpse King knows Nicole’s secret, her life is in jeopardy.
Even worse, her power is still a liability, more than a weapon she can use against him. She knows that fighting a whole undead army, is basically her only option to rescue the Hours before he uses them for whatever he has planned.
Except, Nicole has been trapped in his diabolical plan.

Elisa S. Amore is the author of the paranormal romance saga Touched. She wrote the first book while working at her parents’ diner, dreaming up the story between one order and the next. She lives in Italy with her husband, her son, and a pug that sleeps all day. She’s wild about pizza and traveling, which is a source of constant inspiration for her. She dreamed up some of the novels’ love scenes while strolling along the canals in Venice and visiting the home of Romeo’s Juliet in romantic Verona. Her all-time favorite writer is Shakespeare, but she also loves Nicholas Sparks. She prefers to do her writing at night, when the rest of the world is asleep and she knows the stars above are keeping her company. She’s now a full-time writer of romance and young adult fiction. In her free time she likes to read, swim, walk in the woods, and daydream. She collects books and animated movies, all jealously guarded under lock and key. Her family has nicknamed her “the bookworm.” After its release, the first book of her saga quickly made its way up the charts, winning over thousands of readers. Touched: The Caress of Fate is her debut novel and the first in the four-book series originally published in Italy by one of the country’s leading publishing houses. The book trailer was shown in Italian movie theaters during the premiere of the film Twilight: Breaking Dawn—Part 2.
Unfortunately, the writing quality has gone drastically down hill. With such a short story that was probably written in a weekend, I am confused as to why there are several errors with incorrect words. I think I read the entire thing in less then two hours, so I know editing it would have been fairly easy. The Melany books were so much richer. The storytelling is now rushed, lazy, and incredibly boring. Sad, because I really loved the Melany ones. Whatever the author is doing differently isn’t working. The series went from coming from a writer who clearly loved the story being told to a very obvious indifference to the characters being written about.
I love the undead people aspect cause that’s kinda cool but I hate that they’re causing so much trouble. I pity Lycaon cause he didn’t deserve to have his sons killed but I hate how he’s trying to destroy the gods. I love how Nicole has gotten pretty good at moving through time and I love how her and Cole are working things out. I’m so glad Nicole got her memories back!
I love this series and this book was just as good a story as the others. Some awful editing errors though. It needs a quick once through fix and then it would be a 5 star review.
This has a fantastic ending & I hope it means more is to come from a former dead hero that I love & miss. Nicole is good and all but she just can't beat this prev hero! I must admit I loved the time traveling aspect a lot. Especially when thrown in with humor. When reading this be sure to think & ask yourself why does Nicole have this time traveling power? Who did she get it from? That will get answered in this book. I still have no clue why Care was with Iris. It's obvious she was a mean girl from the start. Plus it was blatantly obvious Iris was jealous of Nicole & Cade's friendship. At least he finally knows what happened & why Nicole got so pissed she accidentally burned Iris. Although I don't feel to sorry for Iris. I think her insides now match her outsides. A bit harsh maybe but for all the harm she did to Nicole I think she's pretty evil!
Nicole’s stories are just as good as Melany’s stories were. Nicole and Cade are trying to stop the corpse king. Unfortunately they fail at this point in time. He has taken the hours. Now it’s up to Nicole Cade and friends to find them. But unfortunately the corpse king gets Nicole and Cassandra. Now Cade and friends have to find them. Nicole needs to find a a way to stop the corpse king from going all the way back to the beginning of time. Will each team complete their quest?
The corpse king has the hours and he knows nicole can move through time. He uses cassandra to kidnap her and forces her to jump through time. All so he can enact his final plan of revenge. But nicole's friends are looking for her. Through a twist of fate, nicole learns more about herself than she bargained for.
Does not disappoint! The adventures continue it will be amazing to see what's up next! With only two books remaining it will be interesting to find out how the wrap things up. Off to my next book!
I was really excited at the prospect of absolute power corrupting absolutely, but I was sorely misled. 😭 I know I said I would quit if it didn't end in anarchy without anyone in power, but then MELANY, aka one of the only people I truly cared about in this series- happened, so now I HAVE to keep reading, at least a little bit more...
