“Discovering the origins of my phoenix: a journey that could enlighten us, or kill us.”

Fresh from her close encounter with The Knowing, Ana and the gang are hard at work plotting Ginger’s rescue. With a single ritual, they’re sure they can locate her, and free her from Malakyr’s malevolent grasp. But after that? The fight must surely go on…

Events at the academy quickly begin to spin out of control. Headmaster Whitlock is forced to step down, and a mysterious new headmistress is announced in his place. And things take a turn for the worse when Dove’s past is exposed – and she believes Ana to be the one responsible! Another powerful, vengeful enemy kicked out of the academy, and swearing revenge? Just what Ana needs…

Fyrenza meanwhile, is troubled by visions and ancestral memories. Taking a trip up the mountains to investigate seems far from the kind of educational excursion the academy has in mind, and it tests them both in arduous new ways. As they climb higher, Fyrenza gets closer to revealing the secrets of her birth, as well as unleashing new enemies. Can they survive the ascent?

Sorry

I just can't give it 5stars when it is too long a series for the plot to support. I is just too long between books to keep up with the story. I sure hope the next book is the last.
