What an absolutely wonderful book. After listening to Donna Lancaster on Fearne Cotton's Happy Place podcast and resonating with so much of what she said, I just had to buy the book. I've been reading it every night before bed and each night I've looked forward to reading the next part! It is definitely up there with one of my favourite books ever. This book reminded me a lot of my therapy sessions that I had last year and spoke so much sense. You can really hear Donna's voice speaking to you throughout the chapters and she offers such wise and worthwhile information and tips to take into your own life. Throughout the book there are also lots of 'over to you' moments which invite you to write down your own thoughts; I wish I had done this to get the full experience of the book and if I ever re-read I certainly would. I can't rate this book enough and I'll be recommending it to everyone I can! 5/5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This book is perfect if you're in a place with your trauma which is causing you mental illness and you're going through it. But BEFORE you have your spiritual awakening and come out the other side as a more complete and whole person.

So if you've already "crossed the bridge" it's not as useful but always worth revising and working through a simplification of the concept in order to guide others.

An excellent guide to helping deal with previous periods of trauma in your life.
The exercises are time consuming and require serious soul searching but they are very worthwhile.
Some of it seems a bit hippyish, but you can still capture the essence and work with that.
I got much more out of the initial steps than the latter ones.
