It’s not true what they say about all work and no play. It doesn’t make you dull, it makes you successful.
But I’m not sure how much longer I can endure the daily grind. Work, workout, rinse, repeat.
How the hell do I get myself out of this endless cycle? Fraser is brilliant and dedicated to his job, which has fast become his biggest downfall—focused but lonely. His success has come at the cost of his happiness. Covering up the failings of others as well as being at their beck and call is slowly destroying him. His opinion of those working in Adele’s office, who are entwined in his success, is plummeting by the day.
Adele has always had her eye on the prize—study, work experience, and now, finally, a prestigious job she’s spent years chasing. What she didn’t expect was to find a toxic workplace and a sinking feeling that she’s made a big mistake.
When the two meet, their worlds quickly become entwined. Can Fraser find a way to use his renowned charm to win over the beautiful woman who constantly surprises him with her wit, kindness, and impressive lingerie collection? Can the two of them find a way out of their workplace prisons, or will Fraser’s fears and insecurities put an end to their smoldering hot romance before it has a fighting chance?
#Fraser is the first standalone novel in the steamy Rich City Boys contemporary romance series. If you like sexy men, fast cars, and weekends out of the city, start reading now. A happily ever after is guaranteed.
Fraser King is a hotshot lawyer who has let work take over his whole life, and he's a lonely man behind the walls he's put up. Adele is an up & coming lawyer who is excited that she finally gets to work for a firm which she's dreamed about for as long as she can remember Well, it was a dream in theory since the reality is it's a very toxic workplace, and it doesn't take her long to start questioning if she made a mistake. Fraser is the only person there who seems to be real, and she's certainly drawn to him quickly. They have sparks flying, but both of them are battling different things as they get to knw each other. #Fraser is a quick read with relatable characters who are doing their best to face their issues head on, and maybe just maybe they'll have a future together. In order to find out, you'll have to hit those one click buttons as I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Fraser is a quick and enjoyable read. It all seems so realistic and the characters are great. You can almost be there in that firm, feeling the toxic environment both Adele and Fraser are working. But despite their attraction, both seems to take their time to let themselves go. I recommend it, you'll definitely enjoy it!
loved this book, I could identify with the characters from the 1st page. Scorching hot scenes between the two felt real, not just sex scenes for the hell of it. Can't wait for the next one in the series
I enjoyed how both characters were smart and witty and how she brought him to his knees basically. Maybe I’m a hoebag but was annoyed how long they waited until intimate lol.
Fraser is standing before a room full of new recruited lawyers at State Law as he prepares to give his introduction speech. Although he is outside counsel and not part of the firm, he is paid highly by the government because of his expertise in high profile matters of state.
After his speech, he traverses the room at the director's side and is always amazed at how the director takes every opportunity to congratulate himself. He is so thankful he doesn't have to deal with him on a daily basis, but is becoming concerned that most all his workload is gained through this firm.
The director next introduces him to two women and as he is studying their attire to gain some insight into their character he notices one of the women adjust her cufflinks. Cufflinks that intrigue him as they are in the shape of a small silver lock. The intriguing part is that his cufflinks are in the shape of a silver key.
I loved this book! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. Adele is a strong woman who worked hard to get into a prestigious law firm and was the youngest woman to have done so, but finds out that the job isn't all she was led to believe.
Fraser may be gorgeous and highly regarded in law, but he has major insecurities from being taken advantage of in the past. This is a wonderful slow burn romance that turns smoking hot! I totally enjoyed Fraser and Adele's story and highly recommend it. Looking forward to Finn's story!
This is Fraser and Adele’s story. Fraser is a hotshot lawyer, who is finding the endless cycle of daily grind wearing very thin, as he has been so focused on his career, he is left feeling lonely. Adele is an up-and-coming lawyer who has worked hard to land her dream job in a prestigious firm, but is does not take long for her to question herself if this was the right decision, as the workplace environment is toxic. This is a good story which is a quick read, and has emotions, witty banter, and is an enjoyable page turner. I look forward reading more from this author and I recommend this story.
I enjoyed reading this story. A slow burn romance. Adele has just started working at State Law. She’s a nice enough girl, smart and sassy with a penchant for sexy underwear. Fraser King is a top lawyer at State Law, he lives to work and doesn’t have much of a social life, let alone a sex life. This pair work together and there is a spark that burns slowly but turns hot hot hot. An enjoyable read with a good storyline. The only downside was that the story skipped a few months and I would have liked to have read those few missing months. But I will definitely read the next book in the series.
Fraser and Adele had so much chemistry but so much angst and I couldn’t get enough! I was cheering them on when they umm finally got it on! I love how they both worked though their histories together and became a stronger couple because of it. Loved it and can’t wait to read the next book!
I love it when I find a new author that I can add to my tbr list. I totally fell in love with Fraser and Adele. They were perfect together. I also liked the at Adele kept her cool when dealing with Fraser’s tantrum. Can’t wait for Finn’s book.
Fraser by Even Monroe was not only a fast read , but one that sucks you into the story and does not let go .Fraser is a hot shot lawyer who is so focused on his career that he literally has no personal life . Adele is a up and coming who finally lands her dream job in a prestigious firm ( a firm that has been her dream to work at for so long ) unfortunately the atmosphere is a bit toxic and she starts questioning her choices in life ) the interaction between Adele and Fraser is off the charts hot . Even did such a wonderful Job creating a story and characters that are truly so relatable. This is a book that should not be missed , so full of intrigue, wow steamy moments and let’s not forget two main characters that will keep you on the edge of your seat the entire time, there are also many emotional moments and surprises you will not be expecting. This is a must read . It only took me a few hours to devour . I adored every single minute 😍❤️😍❤️
Firstly, thank you to Even Monroe and BookSprout for this ARC of Fraser. The story revolves around a hotshot lawyer Fraser King and an up-and-coming hotshot lawyer Adele. Fraser, although successful in his career, is stuck in a rut where he lacks any personal life whatsoever. Add to that a failed relationship at work, and Fraser has ended up a hermit - afraid of getting emotionally close to anyone. Adele is green lawyer, who gets the opportunity of her life to work with the prestigious firm she's had her eyes on forever. However, the work environment, the people, the social dynamics all work together to put a damper on her excitement. The only person remotely genuine in the whole circus seems to be Fraser to whom she is drawn from the very beginning. This is an easy quick read, which takes us through Adele's journey through a toxic workplace, through Frasers struggles with the emotional wall he has built up, and how they work through these challenges to find each other. The dialogue is crisp and enjoyable. Both Adele and Fraser, although not overly complicated, are relatable characters.
