This was the prequel novella of the Sin series and everything moved in such a fast speed, leaving no space for development or acquaintances. Everything was in insta mode! Tbh, the heroine’s decision in the end was beyond impulsive that left me totally dumbfounded! 🤦🏻♀️
Aleatha Romig sure knows how to set you up with excitement. What a start! I love the air of mystery behind Donovan and I can’t wait to learn more about him and see where all of this will lead for Julia. This sure didn’t feel like a novella with all it’s packed with. I can’t wait for more!
Oh, Aleatha...you have such a way of starting a story and getting us all excited about what you're about to do. White Ribbon is all that and more. You have introduced us to these two intriguing people with some baggage, some grievances, wanting some payback, and white-hot chemistry. And now you have just opened the door to give us just a peak. BRING ON RED SIN!
When I signed for this book tour, I didn't know that it was a prequel novella to an upcoming series, so I wasn't expecting the open ending we're left with. Nevertheless, I enjoyed this short story; the characters were likable and the writing was easy to follow. The upcoming books are being marketed as a "romantic suspense age-gap" story which has definitely piqued my interest ♡

Wow what a short exciting, sexy, intriguing start to a book I've read in a long time. I'll be counting the days until Red Sin comes out October19th. That seems like a year from now to know what happens with Van and Julia.
Great intro to the series, I cannot wait to get my hands on Red Sin!
White Ribbon is the introduction the Aleatha Romig's newest Series, SIN, in this prequel we meet Julia McGrath who has left everything behind to start over in a new town only on her way there she is met with the White Ribbon of Snow covered roads and ends up in a ditch.
When Donovan Sherman finds Julia freezing cold in the snow he knows he has to get her someplace and warm her up, so he does just that.
This was a very quick read of only 50 pages, but these pages will have you intrigued and wanting more, thankfully we only have to wait until October for the first book in the series, RED SIN, to be released.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone that has enjoyed Aleatha Romig's work before, and if you enjoy Romantic Suspense I would recommend this book to you as well.
This is a short prequel to a new series. It is sexy, mysterious and a quick read. Two strangers meet on a snowy night. It heats up quickly and then it’s over, until a scheduled appointment reacquaints Van and Julia. And what happens in the meeting sets up the new series coming called Red Sin. It promises to be full of suspense, steam and vengeance. I can not wait for more Van and Julia.

White Ribbon by Aleatha Romig is the short prequel of her new series "SIN". It's about 2 strangers -Julia and Donovan (Van). Aleaady this short novella just ramps up my book appetite for book 1 "Red Sin". They are so so good together. They have sizzling chemistry, brought together by kismet, icy conditions and new beginnings. Donavan is quite the alpha male while Julia is someone that you root for! Without giving anything away , Julia has had too much happen that she didn't deserve. Now she's looking for a new job, place, ...just trying to find herself a small piece of happiness in life again. One night with Van leads to?? This romantic suspense romance prequel has me needing book #1 ASAP!!
After disastrous circumstances cause Julia to cancel her wedding, she sets off on a journey to find herself. She applies for a job in Wisconsin and while driving there, following the white ribbon, she ends up needing to be rescued. Van, a dark, beautiful stranger finds this woman half frozen on a snow covered road, her car in a snow bank up the road, he takes her to the only place he knows where he can get her warm, his cabin. The couple embark on a journey that is remarkable, sensational, and so very, very passionate. I cannot wait for Red Sin!
"What good is it to hold a beautiful woman captive if I let her freeze to death?"
WOW! What a tease, Aleatha! White Ribbon is a short story about two strangers, Van and Julia. This may be a quick read but it captivates me immediately and looking forward to reading more of these two in Red Sin. If you want a quick, sexy, mysterious feeling, you must read this book.
Note: ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.
Julia McGrath’s whole world is in shambles, the man who was suppose to love her, protect her and honor her has left her feeling like she never really knew him at all.
It’s time to get away, do something she wants to do, not do what she’s told. However, maybe she made the wrong move when the snowstorm hit while she was driving to Ashland, Wisconsin for a job interview. Maybe she should have pulled over but she convinces herself if she drives slow and follows the snowy road that reminds her of a white ribbon she will get to where she’s going.
What she doesn’t expect is the spin, the snow bank and the cold. She also didn’t expect the man who finds her freezing cold and warms her up. Maybe meeting Van was fate. Maybe that fate will lead her in a direction she never expected.
White Ribbon a most excellent introduction to Aleatha Romig’s new series, as I finished the last sentence my next immediate thought was I need the next book and I need it NOW! So looking forward to Donovan and Julia’s journey.
Great start to this series. Van and Julia are goin to be great characters. There so good together already and we only got a tiny bit of them. There is so much to find out in this story im really looking forward to more. Julia is goin to have some really tough decisions to make even though she has already made some tough ones there are goinnto be to a lot more to come. Dying to know more about Van to this guy has a lot more to give. Him knowing so much and us knowing nothing is exciting im dying for this series to start properly. Aleatha alway knows how to start a series is a bang and this one is no different.
This was a really lovely story and I was able to read it while taking a bath it was just the right length. While the reason for Julia being caught in a snowstorm was horrible, the outcome was amazing and brought tears to my eyes but I didn’t want it to end and am so looking forward to reading more.
As always Aleatha Romig delivers an amazing read! While this is just the beginning of the story it is so freaking good. I can just see Julia and Van are going to be setting Kindles on fire. That ending though! Van is definitely a wolf who did his homework quickly. I can not wait to see what happens next!
This is a short prequel to a new series. I didn't necessarily love it, didn't hate it. It's instant-lust/alpha-male/smut. So far the characters seemed nice enough, but it's so short, it's a little hard to give an opinion about them. I guess we'll see after the first book. It made me interested enough to try it out though!
"I'm the damn wolf." You are Little Red Riding Hood, and the last thing you should do is invite the wolf into your bed." ~~ “As with any rule, there are exceptions.”
Want another tantalizingly layered romancer that will make your heart beat a little faster and your pulse pound a LOT harder? AR dishes up her most delectable alpha yet. White Ribbon is the prequel to Red Sin coming out in October, and will surely rev your jets harder than AR has ever done before. Feast your eyes on green-eyed hottie Van. That delicious man absolutely pushed to the front of the "hot guy" line with an arrestingly different aura, and I'm mesmerized by it.
Van’s a wolf in bed and in business – don’t say he didn’t warn her! -- and Julia’s a girl on the run from her ordered life. He’s got a plan and she’s the key. Neither is who they appear to be at first glance, but inescapable attraction and lust are just the kindling to the flame in a chance meeting that explodes in a raging hot inferno. I’m so ready for a ride on this Van and wherever he takes me and Julia…
AR killed me dead with that “deal with the devil” in her last trilogy as one of her hottest couples and inventive beginnings, but SIZZLE, CRACKLE, POP, she’s snagged me even harder this time with my all-time kryptonite setup of lovers stranded in the wilderness -- this time, it’s a cabin in the woods, a whiteout blizzard, and a “ribbon of white” road that leads to “no last names” Van and Julia in an age-gap romance. Timing is everything in lust, payback and corporate intrigue -- family saga-style. And what a bomb she drops at the end. I’m along for the ride of passion, chemistry, mystery … and whatever obstacles and mindfuckery that AR has in store for them. Let the white ribbon lead you straight to Red Sin in October ...
"I followed the white ribbon. This was two people stranded along the white ribbon. Let’s see where this ribbon leads.” ~~ "I like who you are. You don't know who I am."
A snow covered road, a girl on the run and the tragedy that awaits......or IS IT? Intriguing and appealing short story, a kind of an amuse-bouche from the delectable house of Romig. She can spin a tale like no other.
Winding like the white ribbon road is much like the yellow brick road that leads to new adventures, plunges Julia McGrath headlong into a snowbank. Having narrowly escaped with her life, his prince charming arrives in a roaring steed to rescue and enamour her. Donovan Sherman is a very private man and for good reason.
"We don’t owe one another anything. This was two people stranded along the white ribbon.”"
I loved the sexy, much too short story with a very surprising twist. On to Red Sin!! 5 stars for a box of nectarines!! Follow me on: Email🌻 Bookbub 🌻 Twitter🌻 Instagram🌻 Blog🌻 Facebook🌻 Amazon 🌻
White Ribbon kicks off what looks to be another fantastic series from Aleatha Romig. This author is an absolute queen when it comes to romantic suspense. She gives her readers incredible characters and intricate storylines that keep the reader hooked on to every word. I absolutely loved the whole premise that we got in this novella. The glimpse we were given into Julia and Van’s story has me so curious about where the author will take them and what kind of trials she will put them through. Knowing this author, it is going to be an absolutely epic saga and I can’t wait to see what she has in store for her readers.
Set against a snowy backdrop, “The White Ribbon is the story of a young woman who is “lost” in more ways than one. And riding to her rescue, comes none other than a handsome wolf dressed in sheep’s clothing.
In just six short chapters, Aleatha Romig delivers an enticing, sexy little story that held me captive from start to finish. Boasting an intriguing premise and enjoyable characters, “The White Ribbon” starts off with heartbreak and brings the story full circle by culminating in the requisite HEA.
An enjoyable, sizzling little romance that is guaranteed to warm your heart.
White ribbon by Aleatha Romig Prepare yourself to thaw the frostiness of winter with this sizzling heat filled encounter. Two strangers meet in difficult circumstances , thrown together by fate but a heat filled attraction ensues. Is this a one night attraction or could there be more?
Those reading this will be petitioning Aleatha Romig for a full novel and fortunately we have this in Red Sin 5 easy stars.
I am new to the books by this author so I honestly didn’t know what to expect at all. So far I’m intrigued by Van he is so mysterious and the fact that there is so little to know about him just makes him more interesting. Julia she has had some really hard decisions to make in her life and I’m sure there is some super difficult ones to make especially when it comes to Van. This book is a prequel so I’m sure there is so much more to come.
5 ⭐'s For a book to be only 50+ pages, it definitely felt like the complete full book experience. I have been wanting to be "Aleatha'd" for a long time. I am happy that circumstances aligned so I could begin one of her series. White Ribbon is about Julia and Van. Julia is running from her life that has always been planned out for her. In traveling to a potential new job interview, she ended up driving in the middle of a blizzard where she almost froze to death. Van comes along and saves her. They wait out the storm together. It's a surprising night for both of them. I am dying for the next book, Red Sin. It will be here next month. I will be counting down the days.
What a great prequel/novella!! There was just enough that makes you want to come back for more. I feel so awful for Julia and what she is going through with her ex-fiance. We didn't get to learn a lot about Van, but there was enough that I'm completely intrigued.
And that ending...I can't wait for the next book to come out!!
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
White Ribbon by Aleatha Romig is a romantic suspense short story about Julia McGrath and her desire to leave her current situation, which finds her on the road in a surprise snowstorm. There is so much happening in this introduction of Julia and Van, leaving me wanting so much more and the need to know what happens in the next book, Red Sin, coming soon! Have you been Aleatha'd?
I NEED the rest of this book NOW!!! WOW!! Talk about a fast paced, hot novella that has you screaming at the end because you want more!! I can’t wait to read the rest of this series. Van and Julia’s chemistry is hot!! 🔥
I was hooked from the first page with the mystery and intense meeting of Van and Julia who seem to have a dangerous chemistry that is sizziling hot but who knows what's gonna happen. I am very intrigued and can't wait for more.
Amazing, full of questions. A cheating fiance? Leaving to get away, new job, meeting a stranger? Chance of what? Love again? Or just an arrangement? So intense! Love it!❤
This prequel felt different from other books by this author. That is not a bad thing. It will be interesting to see where this series goes. Just the right amount of mystery to draw me in to want to find out what happens next.
