Terran Reset #7

Right of Refusal

Rate this book
Trapped in her body, she is given a chance at a new life as a caretaker, but guarding horny superheroes loses its appeal quickly.

Beatrix’s world has been shrinking as her body slowly locks up into immobility and constant pain. A strange woman arrives at her door and offers her a chance for a body without pain and the form she had in her early twenties. The price of this miracle? Just her life and moving to an alien world as caretaker for a group of superheroes.

The charm of the men wore thin fast, and she put her foot down after she overheard some hurtful remarks. She activated her one caveat from the contract, her right of refusal. Bea quit.

She ends up with the avatar, pregnant, friendless, and alone on a world where everyone but her has scales and a forked tongue. The one refrain in her mind is simple... she should have read the contract.

Resetting a life twice is hard enough, but doing it as the only one of her kind on an entire world is definitely trickier than she had imagined. At least she could dance now.

Reset

I am disappointed with this one. I have loved the reset stories, however I found her lacking in snark. I think hormones are lovely but I believe she could at least lead them in a lively chase. More plot please, make the mates suffer. She should go exploring and discover something fabulous!

A great Terran Times style reverse harem

30 years after Bea applied to the volunteer program, they have come to see if she is still interested. Crippled by arthritis, the promise of a reset and a family has her accepting. She should have read the contract.
Caretaker and surrogate for the four guardians of Ssran, she doesn't even make it a day, before she enacts her right of refusal. She soon learns that her refusal only goes so far.
The avatar of Ssarn has taken a liking to Bea, and acted on a term in her contract, tiring her to him, and the Guardian. For the sake of their offspring, the Guardian are going to have to woo Bea.
Fast paced and steamy.

I did not enjoy this book in the series. Usually Ms. Grace's books are light and steamy froth, but this one struck me wrong.
The female lead seemed to have been treated abominably by everyone. And no one never even gave a 'real' apology let alone atone.

Choice or No

A definitely quirky story about a reset who was as strong in mind as she was in body😉. I wonder when she finds out she's the one truly in charge?
