Don't drink and drive, someone could be watching!

Would you get in a car with a drunk? Rea Lomax's boyfriend insisted he'd only drunk shandy's on their night out. On their way home along a lonely country road her nightmare is only just about to begin - but the nightmare isn't just hers!

This story doesn't take place in the seedier parts of Wigan but in the beautiful outlying countryside of the landed gentry, acres of peaceful pastures, small farms and a hidden country pile no one knew was there. Not where you expect to find the horrors and terror about to unfold!

Yet again Robin teases the reader's imagination as he bumps up the tension on the pages to an explosive finale. All our favourite characters are present and are busting a gut to get to the bottom of this incredibly complex case and hopefully find missing Rea alive. There's the not so welcome like Brewster the sewer rat, popping up where he isn't wanted!
Yet again I'm astonished at the originality of this story Robin you have an unparalleled imagination. Absolutely devoured every page with relish!
Highly recommended, if you haven't indulged your love of crime reading, into this series you really have no idea what thrills you're missing!

Yet another brilliant read.

I don't know where you get your ideas from Mr. Roughley but, yet again, you have written a brilliant book. I'm always so excited when a new story featuring Lasser arrives on my Kindle and I read this book in one sitting. I like how the chapters are quite short as that draws me into thinking 'I'll just read one more'. Now I'm bereft as I've finished it. Please, don't keep us waiting too long for the next one. Bravo Robin.

Open and shut case ?

We get into the thick of this one when a drunk driver is told to stop so his girlfriend can get out of the car he leaves her by the side of the road and speeds of in a drunken rage , not long after in a dark country lane he knocks down and kills a lone woman who'd be running in the dark and he leaves he for dead without bothering to check how she is . So that's it an open and shut case so you'd think but that's just the start . We have all sorts even the landed gentry evolved. I won't spoil it by saying anything else about the storyline I'll just say I really enjoyed the read lasser and Co at there best. If you want to know more read the book you won't be sorry

Lasser rules

Once again a well written and presented story. All the characters are well rounded and part of the package now. The story was very interesting and kept me coming back ( naps broke it up ). Storylines are great because they stick to a format that has kept me coming back for years. Thanks to the author.

Excellent !

Great,I like this one ! it’s got everything, including the kitchen sink !! plenty of pace, lots of sufficiently horrid people, the usual smear of social justice, and we haven’t seen the last of DC Black so there is someone to loathe.
