Soul Mates in Romeo #3

Romance By The Book

Rate this book
Welcome to Romeo, NY where it's not a matter of if you find your soul mate, only when.
Book-loving librarian Jessie has loved Gavin Williams for practically her whole life. So when a psychic predicts that Gavin is Jessie’s one fated soul mate, she’s ecstatic.
There’s just one itty bitty little problem.
Gavin’s engaged to marry another woman.
What’s a book lover to do? Easy. Check out dozens of romance books, study the (totally realistic) way characters fall in love, and make a foolproof plan on how to win her soul mate (in one week).
Meet cute? Check.
Dance under the stars? Check.
Kiss in the rain? Check.
Romance books don’t lie – it’ll all go perfectly.
Except, there’s another problem. Gavin’s twin brother: William Williams IV.
Jessie has hated William for as long as she’s loved his brother. William is grump to Jessie’s sunshine, stand-offish to her extrovert, cold to her warm. And when William learns of Jessie’s plan to derail his brother’s engagement he swears that he’ll do anything to stop her.
But after William and Jessie (unwillingly) share a dance…a romantic dinner…a kiss…Jessie starts to wonder, is William actually her soul mate? Or is this just another one of his games?
She can’t tell, because this romance definitely isn’t going by the book.

Romance by the Book is Book 3 in Sarah Ready’s Soul Mates in Romeo Romance Series.

One day as I was browsing through my GR Feed the cover for a novel called Romance by the Book grabbed my attention.
The premise sounded interesting and the ratings, even though there weren't many of them, were high enough to make me want to give it a try.
Plus, it has around 200 pages which made me think of it as sweet and short, and we all enjoy those kind of reads at times, don't we?

My friend Amanda generously agreed to buddy read it with me, and it took us 4-5 days to finish it, when in reality we could have finish it in a day if we wanted to (but you know... we like to analyze books part by part, day by day...).

As soon as we started it we could see where the book was going, but we didn't mind it's predictability. It was a romance after all, and you know most of romance books are predictable.

The writing style was capturing enough, I enjoyed reading characters' conversations the most.

It is the third book in the series, but can be read as a standalone.
Other books in the series feature Jessie's (our MC) friends, who I wish were more present in this installment.
I find it weird that people who worked with Jessie and group of pensioners she was teaching had bigger role in her story then her actual friends.

Maybe I am like a horse in the race, seeing only one way, but I can't help it, the characterisation was done wrong in my opinion.
I just can't see how a guy who was obviously abused since his very childhood when his twin brother had a normal healthy life growing up would turn out not to be shattered. Or to word it differently, I can't see how Gavin could have love the job he was doing, why would he do it and at the same time half of his earnings give to his brother who lives like a modern hippie?
I also don't find it believable that their greedy father who basically stole the childhood from his son so he could earn their company millions, that he would just give all the firm to his son, sell it just like that.

This would have worked better as a dark romance with characters like that!

"She's heaven. She was right. If I didn't already love her, then this kiss in the rain would make me love her for forever and beyond"

If you're a lover of romance books 'Romance by the Book' is perfect for you. It will make you laugh out loud, smile till your cheeks hurt and will make you swoon for the grumpy book boy. It is an incredible, fun and hilarious read. I definitely recommend you all pick up this book!

In the town of Romeo, everyone finds their soulmate, librarian and romance reader Jessie has been waiting her whole life for hers, so when Miss Erma predicts that predicts that Gavin Williams, the boy she has loved since she was 8 is Jessie’s soul mate, she does everything to make him fall in love with her. She uses her knowledge of romance books to do this, from a meet cute, dance under the stars, kiss in the rain. But Gavin’s twin brother: William Williams IV, the one she hates the most he’ll do anything to stop her.

William is the complete opposite to Jessie, he's the grumpy businessman and she's a ray of sunshine, but while they love to hate each other Jessie and William cant deny the chemistry and tension between them. They both want to love and be loved, maybe they are soulmates?

OUT TODAY!!

Seride en sevdiğim kitap oldu sanırım. Keyifle okudum.

Will ise her fırsatta ona soğuk davranmış. Seçim çok basit o zaman 🤭 Değil...
Gavin bir hafta sonra nişan yapıp evlenecek. Bu süreçte tüm klişe aşk sahnelerini sergileyip onu kendisine aşık etmeli. Kitaplarda yazan her sahneyi not eder.

The city of love’s Miss Erma is at it again, this time predicting the soul mate for her niece’s friend, Jessie. Gird your heart and grab the tissues because this one will fill you to overflowing with all the feels.

Jessie's mother passed away when Jessie was a young girl. She was so distraught at her mother's funeral that she ran all the way back home, blinded by tears, and headed for her favorite tree. Near the tree, she met a boy. A mean boy who told her she was ugly pushed her in the mud. Then the boy's twin brother came along, dried Jessie's tears with his hankie, held her hand, and told her he would be her friend.

Jessie has felt alone ever since she lost her mother, no matter how much the people of Romeo, NY, love her. Now that Jessie knows her soul mate is the same sweet boy from her youth, Gavin Williams, and not his mean brother William, she’ll stop at nothing to make it happen. Jessie is a librarian and has all the rom-com meet cutes in her arsenal, and she's not afraid to use them.

Never mind that Gavin is engaged and getting married in a week, or that Jessie seems to have a pesky attraction to his brother, William. She fell in love with Gavin as a child, and she's determined to make him hers.

William will stop at nothing to make sure that doesn’t happen. He knows his brother is marrying the right girl. You don’t get to be CEO of an international corporation at the age of eighteen without a lot of drive and determination, and Jessie soon finds out she's met her match.

There's so much poignant sweetness in this story, and it captivated me from the first page. Jessie and William both have an emptiness inside them from families sorely lacking in love and support, and my heart broke for both of them. Ready then balances the heart with delightful, laugh-out-loud humor aided by well-intended geriatric meddlers, and I couldn’t stop laughing! You think a kiss in the rain is swoony? Just wait until you read how Jessie's turns out.

If there’s one thing we can learn about love from this story, it’s that love can’t be manufactured. It's not a meet cute if it's a setup. And the heart always recognizes its mate, no matter what the brain may say.

Jessie and William's story has all the elements we love in romance, perfectly placed for the maximum emotional impact. You'll laugh, you'll possibly tear up a little, and you may want to reach through your screen and shake someone, but I guarantee you'll feel. You'll experience everything Jessie and William do on their road to forever, and you'll cheer for them the whole way through. Run to the 1-Click now so you don’t miss a second of this charming, touching, hilarious, spectacular read!

This book took me by surprise! I never thought that I'd get a new favorite romance or a hero that was book boyfriend material! But I'm so happy that I gave this a chance and signed up for this arc!

So, we have a rom com where our sunshine heroine learns who is her soulmate from a lady who never does wrong and she's on pursuit of winning his heart, following different romance cliche movements. The problem is that her childhood nemesis , who happens to be his twin brother, knows her plan and tries to stop her, as his brother is engaged and soon to be married to another woman.

I thoroughly enjoyed this grumpy x sunshine trope! William was a joy to read. His chapters gave me life! The feelings, the inner thoughts and struggle, the way he kept approaching the heroine and the whole situation. I seriously devoured this book within a few hours and it's been a while since the last book that I have read in a sitting. And keep in mind that I'm a snail reader.

Definitely recommend it if you also love sappy rom coms! You're going to laugh and swoon and even though the twist was something that I had predicted, it didn't take away from my enjoyment. Definitely recommend it!!

Another excellent book in the Soul Mates in Romeo series! I love how each one starts with Erma's soul mate prediction but the characters and stories are all unique.

This time it's Jessie's turn to find love. She thinks that Erma says her soulmate is Gavin, the guy she's had a crush on for years. Pursuing him, though, puts her at odds with his identical twin brother Will. When sparks fly between Jessie and Will things get a lot more complicated.

I have to admit it took me a bit to warm up to Jessie. She was single-minded in her pursuit of Gavin despite his being engaged. As I learned more about her childhood and why she wanted to find love, I started to understand her a lot better. I also liked the growth I saw in her as the story progessed.

The book is dual POV and it was nice to get Will's perspective. While I liked him more from the get go, he wasn't without his faults and he has a whole lot of baggage of his own.

I really love this series and Sarah Ready's writing. Romeo is a small town with so much charm and is full of quirky residents. I can't wait to see who is next to fall in love!

Thank you to the author for providing an ARC for an honest review.

If laughter is refreshing to the soul, Jessie and William are a joy for the heart. Romance by the book grabs you by your funny bone and then proceeds to go after your heart. Ready throws caution to the wind in the most adorably tempting way. A comedy of errors with an iresistible yet ironic edge.

5 Star Review of Romance By The Book (Soul Mates in Romeo #3) by Sarah Ready

It was good to be back in Romeo, NY and as with the previous books in the series, this was an entertaining well written story which ticked the boxes for me. Jessie has loved Gavin for years but as he is engaged to another, she knows that there is no hope. That is until Miss Erma, a psychic predicts that Gavin is her soul mate.
Determined to get him to fall for her, Jessie sets out with a plan of attack to capture his heart once and for all. However the best laid plans can fall apart and this is what happens to Jessie in the form of William Williams IV, Gavin’s twin brother who Jessie cannot stand.
When a series of mistakes sees Jessie and William kissing, she begins to question her feelings. Could the feelings that appear to be sizzling between them be real or is William doing whatever he can to stop her from destroying his brother’s engagement.
There were moments that had me laughing out loud as plans fell apart on both sides. It was also entertaining to watch Jessie slowly but surely realize that she has been in love with the wrong twin for years. I loved the journey that Jessie and William found themselves on; it was fun, romantic and entertaining.

A light, fun and entertaining read that is perfect to escape the anxiety we face during this time. Having a grumpy hero and a sunshine heroine is a sure plus! I really enjoyed their banter, her attempts to derail Gavin's engagement and William's main goal to make sure she fails. I am glad that this is written in dual POV.

This book is the third book among the Soulmates in Romeo series,  but each book could be read as a standalone.

My heart skipped a beat
5 stars

I’m always on the edge of my seat with anticipation when it comes to a Sarah Ready story - she always writes such fun, sexy and deliciously warming romances. I am so happy to say that this one exceeded even my lofty expectations. I just adored it.

This is the third book in Ready’s Soul Mates in Romeo series. Each book stands completely alone and while characters from previous books do pop up in this one (mainly the heroines as they’re friends with Jessie) this one is complete with its very own HEA. And what an HEA it is - but more on that later.

Jessie has been in love with Gavin since she was 8 years old, so she’s thrilled when the town’s resident love-predictor psychic lady (who has never been wrong about people’s matches) pairs them together. So she puts together a plan to throw herself into the arms of Gavin and make him realise he’s madly in love with her, too. Such a shame that his odious, yet annoyingly gorgeous brother, Will, seems to be there to thwart her at every turn.

Jessie is a delightfully likeable character who I immediately felt a kinship with. Despite her sad childhood, she remained upbeat and I always love a girl that knows what she wants and goes for it full force - even if I didn’t want her to! I liked that she was ultimately honest with herself about how she felt and that the ‘desire’ for Gavin didn’t go on too long or get silly.

But it is Will that stole my heart 100%. William Williams IV is the poster man for my perfect hero. He’s a suit wearing, slightly stuffy, workaholic, closed off hero… with the soul of a broken, unloved little boy who just needs a hug. Catch me - I’m about to swoon! There’s also something else about Will that makes him absolute perfection - but I don’t want to ruin the heart skipping moment it’s revealed in the story. But it’s so my jam that I wonder if Sarah Ready has farmed my brain.

As Jessie uses the lessons she’s learnt from romance novels on how a couple fall in love - catching a clumsy heroine, kiss in the rain, the long stare etc. - we really get to know and love Jessie and Will - individually and together. And we get to see the chemistry and feelings between the two that made my heart skip a beat and those butterflies jump in my tummy. Every time that our couple came closer, I got more and more giddy with excitement and anticipation. And extra points for the throw her up against the wall, must have her now, kiss that was just…well, perfection!

The book is fairly low angst but we do have the misunderstanding that the couple have to overcome to find their way back to each other. While the reason for the estrangement was surmountable, luckily everyone involved quickly realised that they wanted to fix it and took steps to do just that. Which led to the most perfect of endings that was just the right kind for our couple and I was left feeling happy, a little bit sniffly and completely satisfied. Then I turned the page and saw the cute little line drawn graphic on the last page and it was so delightful that I may have cried happy tears.

Sarah Ready has quickly become one of my go-to authors for a wonderful and satisfying read infused with feelings, romance, sex, humour and characters you’ll just adore. Her writing style is light, absorbing and engrossing and you almost forget you’re reading you’re so far into the story. This book is down as one of my best of 2021 and I highly recommend it - I hope you love it as much as I did. 5 stars.

Welcome to Romeo, NY, the city of hearts in love and where virtually everyone found their soul mate. There, they even have Miss Erma, known for being the psychic who predicts exactly who each person's soul mate is. And when this happens every city - believe me when I say everybody - gets to know the news.
And through it all, we meet Jessie, the librarian who has access to all sorts of romance books to further fuel her obsession with a certain guy... a guy who doesn't even know she exists.

But going back in time, we know how Jessie fell in love with Gavin - on the day her mother died, and he was that boy who wanted to be her friend.

On the other hand, there's William, Gavin's twin brother and the person Jessie can't stand (because Will can be pretty nasty most of the time).
Trouble is, after years away from Romeo, Gavin returns to town for his engagement party... with someone else. And Jessie has very little time to show him that he and she are soul mates. For that, Jessie will play hardball using the entire arsenal of plots she learned from reading... romance novels.

Get ready for this romantic comedy.
I hope that, like me, you discover the real secret... of getting to know your soul mate.

This book is about an avid romance reader who decides that she'll use all the romance cliché she knows to land herself the love of her soul mate... the thing is... not everything goes according her plans.
I liked the overall concept of the plot but somehow I wasn't convinced in the beginning. I have to admit I struggled in the first few chapters because our heroine irritated me (also I got the plot twist really early on and that bugged me) but... I don't know where exactly (it was Will) I stopped nitpicking the book (Will, it was Will!) And somehow I ended up devouring this book in one sitting and absolutely loving it! (Will, I loved Will!).
This book was fun and very very entertaining. I ended up really liking our heroine and omg I adored Will. I cried so many things for him because I felt for him. Everytime our mc talked, like were honest with each other... my heart!...Those bits made me love the relationship between them.
This was sweet and fun and a perfect book for when you wanna feel in love.

I adore Jessie’s contrived meet-cutes - she had me laughing out loud a time or two as I pictured the elaborate setups she creates to give Gavin and her a movie-worthy moment. And the deliberate manner in which Will schemes against every one of those meet-cites is equally hilarious. Sarah’s characters always have insane chemistry and great banter and I was quite invested into all the elements of this soulmate quest.

A cute story, great writing, funny schemes and even funnier counter-schemes all combine to make this my favorite soulmate story yet - I cannot wait to have more from Sarah Ready!

I read Romnace by the Book in a manner of a few hours. It was a one sitting delight. This is the third book set in Romeo by Ready. I did not read the others and was not too confused.

A grumpy business man, a lovable librarian with some family trauma, and a set of hot twins. What more could you ask for?

This is a bit of an open door romance with little swearing. Let me know if you read it!

Well well well what is this delicious book that I just read.. I'll tell you what it is. It's one of Sweetest heart-felt stories about 2 people who are searching THE ONE.

I absolutely loved the whole thing. The way she was determined to make her soul mate see her and Will's way of trying to prevent her doing the biggest mistake of her life. I had the silliest smile on my face throughout this story and I just didn't want it to end. These two made me happy and Sarah Ready has been added to my TBR list faster than we can say cheese.

"I read so I don't know how lonely I am."

If I didn't feel that quote deep down in my soul when I read it. I am enjoying the Soul Mates in Romeo series so much. So far Jessie and Will are my favorite.

Jessie is the town librarian and just wants to be loved. Being from Romeo she relies heavily on the whole "soul mate" vibe of the town. When she is told her soulmate is the Williams boy she is overcome when she thinks it is Gain and not her nemesis, Will.

Will has always kept to himself and shows no emotion from fear that his father would take away anything that brought him pleasure as a boy. As a grown man he is just used to living that way and has continued to do so with the exception of one person he has secretly loved for 20 years....Jessie. Upon finding out she thinks his twin is her soul mate he vows to her he will get in her way at every attempt she makes to get Gavin to notice her.

I loved how she used romance novels as her guidance on getting Gavin's attention and all the while Will is there to get in her way. As she realizes her feelings for Will she starts to forget all about her soul mate. Fate throws a little punch her way and maybe, just maybe she misunderstood the story of who her soul mate is.

Sarah writes these adorable romance stories that are quick reads that make your heart happy.

I liked this enough, and in some ways, it's unforgettable. I loved the idea of a person loving someone for all their life.

It wasn't exactly romantic until Will came into the picture. Also, I didn't like how Jessie was "okay" with destroying someone's relationship just for the idea of "soulmates". Not that soulmates are stupid, I don't want to criticize people who believe in such, but if you're someone who is comfortable stepping over people to get what you want then that's just plain wrong.

I love Will. And I think I enjoyed this book because I was able to read from his perspective as well.

Though this book isn't 100% unique and remarkable, I still liked it. The explanation at the last chapter was quite predictable, not the reason behind it per se, but the idea of what happened that day in the tree.

Nonetheless, I hope when people read this, they will be inspired to love. Not necessarily romantically, but even family. This book had a lot of parental neglect and abandonment, and my heart goes out to people who experience/d that.

I received an arc of this book and this is my first read from Sarah Ready. This book is part of her Soul Mates in Romeo Romance series but I was able to read it as a standalone without any issues.

Romeo is a small town best known for being the town of "love". They have a woman by the name of Ms. Edna who can "see" a person's soulmates and has done so for decades.

Jessie is one of the librarians in Romeo. We start the book with Ms. Edna "seeing" her soulmate. And to Jessie's delight it is the boy she has been in love with since she was 8 years old, Gavin Williams. And he just so happens to be in town after being away for years. There's only one issue, per Gavin's twin brother and Jessie's arch nemesis, William, tells her that Gavin is getting married. Jessie sets out to use rom-com devices to make the perfect meet-cute work and have Gavin fall in love with her.

William Williams, IV is a financial genius. He saved his family corporation at age 14 and now runs the company. He has homes all over the world, including NYC and London but spends a lot of his time in Romeo. He has shut himself off to anyone and doesn't do anything that his twin brother considers "fun". When he learns that Jessie's soulmate is Gavin, he will do anything to stop her from convincing him that she's the one for him. Especially because Gavin's already engaged to someone who's perfect for him and also because his fiancee's family just so happens to be one of their largest competitors and they are in the middle of a merger.

I won't spoil much but what I first thought was a pretty predictable book because something that created so many emotions in me. I found myself laughing and crying through many parts of this book, which was totally unexpected. I really became invested in Jessie and William. Even when you think you know what's happening in the book, it still is such a great emotional ride. Sarah Ready's writing is superb and I am still thinking about this book, days later!

Now, I'm going to go back and read the previous books and I definitely can't wait to see what happens in the next book!

I completely lose myself in Sarah Ready's books and I never want to return to reality. I lose all track of time and space once I begin reading and I hate leaving her worlds every single time.

Romance by the Book is another fantastic Ready hit! The push-pull, love-hate chemistry of William and Jessie is pure soul mate gold! From the time this couple first met at the young age of eight until they finally admit their undying love their story is full of all the wonderful  romcom classics that unfortunately go horribly wrong.

Romance by the Book is fun, flirty, and full of chemistry, but it also has wonderful moments of heart. Sarah writes about love - real lasting love from the perspective of the residents of Romeo. This is a beautiful reminder about why people fall in love and then continue to stay in love. It's a story that takes a stroll down those butterfly feelings in the very beginning of a relationship, but then continues through the ups and down, through sickness and health, etc... and what it means to still be together after fifty years together as a couple. What is the secret formula to love or is being a soul mate enough? I love how each couple that William and Jessie meet impart a bit of wisdom or advice to what the secret is.

William and Jessie have known each other for twenty years by the time they both venture down this path and a lot of the fun in this story revolves around Jessie getting Gavin, William's twin brother, to actually fall into her classic romcom traps, while William does everything in his power to keep that from happening.  Oh, there is a lot of backstory into why she wants Gavin and why William is cast as the villian, but the backstory is what gives this book all the extra feels. They both have their preconceived notions about one another, or even a fantasy, but what may be going wrong could actually be going right.

I continually love returning to this small town that is all about love. This book was a brilliant story about redemption, forgiveness and following your heart. I can't wait to return once again and see who the next soul mate match will be.

RATING: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
STEAM: 🔥🔥🔥

I am not going to lie - this book drove me crazy at the beginning. Jessie finally got her soul mate prediction from the town psychic, and despite the fact that her "soul mate" Gavin is engaged, she is determined to get his attention...using romantic clichés.

I wanted to strangle her in the first few chapters of the book.

Thank goodness for Will -- Gavin's twin -- a broody introvert who is determined to stop Jessie from making a fool of herself. While he has her convinced that he's doing this to protect his brother's engagement and a business deal tied to that engagement, Will's motives are not purely selfless.

I am really glad I stuck around, because the second half of the book was AMAZING. All of the things that drove me crazy in the first half suddenly made sense. I especially love the fact that despite herself, Jessie woke up from her Gavin-induced stupor and finally saw Will. When she did, the temperature suddenly went from "you need a cardigan"cool to "I'm stripping down and taking an ice bath" hot.

I especially love their excursions as Jessie tries to convince Will that the soul mate predictions are legitimate by introducing him to different people around town. The tension between them through each stop grew, and you're just counting down to when it would implode.

As you discover why Jessie and Will are the way they are, you just want to hug them both and hope for their happily ever after.

Romance by the Book is the third in the Soulmates by Romeo series, but the book can stand on its own.

Title: Romance by the Book
Author: Sarah Ready
Publication date: 9/15/2021
Series: Soul Mates in Romeo #3

Summary: Welcome to Romeo, NY where it's not a matter of if you find your soul mate, only when.

Review: I am absolutely obsessed with books that revolve around books. It's a guarentee that I'll be hooked. So cute. I will definitely be checking out more books by Sarah Ready. This is such a true romance that I suggest it for all of my fellow hopeless romantics.

“Love isn’t only about the good times and happy feelings. It’s about the hard, dull, day-to-day times too. It’s fifty years of good mornings, not just one night of candlelight.” - Petunia, beloved senior citizen from the town of Romeo.
I’m not very good at highlighting quotes I love in books, but this one came from a passage over a page long that I highlighted. It had me tearing up and wanting to hug my husband. If you can’t tell, I LOVED this book! I don’t come across this trope very often, which is sort of a falling for the wrong brother, unrequited love kind of story, and it is one of my favorites to read.

The picturesque town of Romeo is known for its octogenarian psychic who has been helping people find their soulmates for decades. Being a rom-com lover myself, it was fun watching Jessie come up with ways to win over her “soulmate” by using tricks from her books, such as setting up a meet cute and trying to arrange a lady and the tramp inspired spaghetti kiss. My favorite character was Will, my heart really broke for him, but I loved seeing him develop from cold and stand offish to funny and sweet as he came up with ways to keep Jessie from her soul mate, allegedly his twin brother. These two are definitely enemies to lovers and their chemistry is obvious to maybe everyone but Jessie. I might be greedy but I need to read everything about this couple, so I would’ve loved an epilogue or five about them.

A funny, quick read that is mostly light with some steam (you do not want to miss the library scene 🔥), I know this is a book I will re-read over and over again.

This was a cute grump/ sunshine book!

It’s crazy what a small misunderstanding can do! This one is pretty predictable outside one thing, but I didn’t mind! It was quirky and cute and a little cheesy at times, but who doesn’t love cheese? 😆

I wasn’t sure how much I liked Jessie at first, going after a taken man and everything, but then I grew to really like her. She’s such a romantic and her backstory made me sympathetic towards her, poor gal. She was sweet and determined and I enjoyed her antics.

I liked Will from the get go. His so gloriously grumpy and wonderful. He’s a good brother and has a good heart. He has not had the best life though and my heart hurt for him.

Their chemistry was fun and definitely had sparks! I loved their banter and how Will always foiled Jessie’s plans!

It was super enjoyable and I blew through it!

Miss Erma is at it again and this series keeps getting better and better! Sarah Ready has quickly solidified herself amongst my auto-buy authors with this amazing series of quick, heartfelt contemporary romances. Romance by the Book is book 3 in the Soul Mates in Romeo series. Each of these books can be read independently, but I believe they are best enjoyed in order.

Now, don't go getting turned off by the idea of soul mates. This is not your typical insta-love, fate bait. Miss Erma doesn't exactly tell it like it is. I love that she doesn't shove fate down your throat. She just gives a little nudge that seems completely off course, but somehow turns out completely right. These books do have a delicious amount of hate-to-love (since I know it's a favorite trope of many). Honestly, there is so much perfection going on in these less than 200 pages. I encourage you to pick it up and read it for yourself!

Jessie is hilarious. I love her. I want to be best friends with her. I actually see some of myself in her (hello stalking your secret crush for years!). I can't help but root for the rom-com-loving, vintage sporting librarian who's more than a little out of her league when it comes to love. I don't think the ending of this one will come as a surprise to any, but the journey there is well worth the predictability.

Highly recommend this entire series for fans of contemporary romance!!

You would think this series would be cheesy being set in Romeo New York and with a woman guaranteeing a soulmate if she sees them. Part magic and part long shot this book along with the previous ones are really more for the sceptics than the believers. The characters are believable, the meddling older ladies and some situations the main characters find themselves in are purely hilarious, but it's also sexy. Not sugary Hallmark romance but something more than you can sink your teeth into (that's what she said). Two twins and a soulmate, not the worst dilemma to face if you ask me. Loved it!
I received an advanced copy of this book for my honest opinion.

I have really enjoyed this whole series and Jessie's story is no exception in fact it may be my favorite of the series so far. For years Jessie has been alone for years no real family to engage with and no significant other. She has her friends but as they all find love her loneliness becomes more prominent.

William and Gavin Williams brothers, twin brothers. The may look alike but there isn't much else about them that makes them alike. Gavin is the life of the party a thrill seeker and self destructive. William is closed off, always has a plan and his families safety net but doesn't enjoy life.

Jessie believes she loves Gavin, and Erma has declared that the Williams boy she's always loved is her soulmate, but Will, Will has a secret that will change everything.
Oh I really loved this story! The chemistry, banter, friendships and of course the senior crowd were the best.
