The gang from the Crafternoon Sewcial Club are back for another adventure!
"I adore these characters. I feel like I'm there with them, part of the gang!" "J C Williams' books make me a happier person. Gentle humour at its best." "Fun...feel-good...and lovely. Oh, did I say fun?"
The Crafternoon Sewcial Club’s going from strength to strength, although Charlotte Newman is far from resting on her laurels. And why would she? After all, she’s living her perfect life. So, when a chance encounter highlights the sorry plight of parents unable to afford school uniforms, Charlotte was itching to develop a solution. And before too long, she’d initiated a clothing exchange programme christened ReCyCool.
Unfortunately, news of her fledgling enterprise was painfully slow to travel around the Isle of Man, with it in real danger of falling at the first hurdle. So if it had any chance of succeeding, Charlotte would have to arrange something spectacular to raise the profile and get the word out.
Then, after considerable deliberation, the solution presented itself, and the wheels of the island’s very own Sewing Bee competition were set in motion. And who better to help Charlotte host the hottest event in the island’s crafting calendar than Joyce, Beryl, Larry and the rest of her Crafternooners.

I love these books may we have more please? As a frequent visitor to the island I have family there I just love this series. The Isle of Man does truly have a magical ambience and the author captures it fully. Unusual content from the norm which makes these books even more enticing. Thank you JC !
What a fun book to read. I’m 67 and recently started taking sewing lessons so it was perfect. The characters are fun and endearing. So many cute names for their various activities. I think we’d all love friends like these. Recommended reading that’s sure to entertain ❤️
I really enjoyed the 1st book in this series and was eagerly awaiting the release of the 2nd, and I wasn't disappointed, it was a really good read, thoroughly entertaining!
In order to raise money for school uniforms on the Island, Charlotte organises a Sewing Bee towards Christmas. As usual though, things don't go exactly to plan...
With the same characters as in the 1st book, it was like coming home ro read this book, and I read it in one sitting, staying up past my bedtime! I can't wait for the 3rd book to be released.
Whilst both stories are standalone tales, they are best read in order of publication to preserve continuity of the characters and series.
Enjoyed this book, combining to of my interests - reading and craft. A feel good story as the community are involved in helping those parents having trouble affording school uniforms. an easy read and liked the characters.
I just love reading J.C. Williams "crafternooners" book. Such a fun, easy read really cheers a person up. Since I'm a crafter it's really interesting to see what he's going to have his characters do next.
No stars because I didn't finish this one. I loved the author's Lonely Heart Attack Club series but I'm just not getting into this one. I'm doing a lot of skimming of pages. It's time to move on.....
I am totally in love with the cesfternooners they so remind me of my friend and the great groups we work with during our crafting endeavours. I really can’t wait to see what they all get up to in centre parcs lol
I loved the first book and I wondered if I would love this as much. I need not have worried and this continues on beautifully. Again I wish there was a crafting group like that here. I look forward to book 3 next year.
This time I thought Charlotte really did bite off more than she could handle. That girl needs an assistant. Because I read this book out of order, there were not as many fun surprises. I love Bonnie's craft progression. An enjoyable, uplifting story
Another great crafting story continues the series. The crafternoon club gets together again and hosts a competition with all sorts of entertainment for the island. Can’t wait to read their next adventure.
JC, you have done it again! Another delightful read! One for for the community of people who love crafting. We!l Done, I look forward to the next book.
Both books were very easy to read with a feel good feeling through out, I laughed out loud in parts, cried and others. Thank you and looking forward to the 3rd book
