SKYRIM BELONGS TO THE NORDS!

My name is Armanis Arfeinial, and I grew up in the wilderness of Maine, specifically in a city called Norway, from which we became excellent friends with the police who showed up nigh about 3AM faithfully every day! And not so good friends to whomever lived across the street, inviting the police every night with those red and blue loud lights!

I moved down to Boston to study Criminal Justice, some Literature, and some Finance on the side. I love writing and have been doing it since I first watched the Lord of the Rings.

I also like games, fps, though been on a slump lately since I won't play everyone knows what until they fix their work culture.

This book tells about a number of characters, some of whom have magical powers and aren't allowed to let regular people know of the existence of the supernatural.

Ted, one of the characters with magical powers but unaware of his origin, tries to escape his past as 1 of the secret tools of the US military. He's continuously has visions of people he's killed in the past and tries to avoid getting close to others until some people came along.

Also tells the tale of the Holy Grail being stolen. I feel the story is incomplete and might have a sequel because of that and Ted's story as well.

The book really does well to get you to see things from the various perspectives of the main characters.

Note: I received a free copy from booktasters. Thank you for giving me this in exchange for a review. 3 stars

I'm not into military fantasy or just military in general, however this was an easy read that I could squeeze into.

Right from the onset, there's a lot of action and gore from detailed descriptions of killings and such. It's a very mature read that could have the sensitive people unable to go on, but worked just swell for me.
I think I got lost at the end however when it didn't.... really have an ending, just a death but I learnt this is the first in the series so I might pick up the second for some closure on the characters. They didn't feel done or have anything really resolved. I hope they do get that in the next book.

The Holy Grail War is a very interesting and emotional story.
The ideas of about the Holy Grail, Pandora’s box and King Arthur was all very intriguing but at different times the story became off track and distorted.
This book brought to light the horrors that is war, and the destruction and damage that war causes psychologically, physically and emotionally. The story also goes into how post war life changes.
This book will be very triggering for people who have been to war etc and should be read with caution.

An interesting story, very good to enjoy. However, in my opinion, I feel that it lacked something....

I have to admit that I would like to read more from the author.

I truly enjoyed “The Holy Grail War: The Hedgehog”. It’s an original work and made me feel as if I was playing a video game which is something that I truly enjoy. Not once was I bored, and this book is not only about fiction but triggers many emotions in readers through elements found in real life. Congratulations to the author!

Review posted on my blog The Writer's Library.

I have loved reading for years and, in trying to find what appeals to me, I have come across some unique concepts that grabbed me and made me want to know more. When this happens, it is easy to get wrapped up in the story the author is telling, and I am more likely to have a positive experience.
With Armanis Ar-Feinial’s work, I was intrigued by the interesting setup and likable characters, and I wanted to know where the plot was going to take them. Unfortunately, at the same time, I see problems with the narrative that took away from my enjoyment of the story quite a bit. I will go more into this in the respective sections where it occurred.
For now, let’s get a summary of the story.
Summary
We open to a war zone where we meet the soldiers of Task Force Seven, enlisted to fight for the US government. The Task Force members find that they have been betrayed by the very people they are fighting for, as they are now being targeted. Stuck in battle, the Task Force decide to target a place known as Area 51, hoping to end the conflict.
Seven years later, we meet a group of friends led by two people named Jennifer and Samantha. The group is very close, and they all appear to have few worries in life. However, when they meet a man named Ted Anderson, they are intrigued and want to know him better, while at the same time Ted struggles to let anyone into his life. As Samantha and Jennifer get to know Ted, they discover that he is suffering greatly, and they find that they are faced with wanting to help someone in need, as Ted continues to be haunted by demons of his past.
Meanwhile, a highly sought-after artifact known as the Holy Grail is stolen, leading to a manhunt for both the one surviving Task Force member and the Pandora’s Box connected to it. Will the Grail be recovered before anyone is harmed?
Thoughts
I am conflicted. I see incredibly intriguing elements being played with here, and it is easy to get wrapped up in the story as the narrative goes on because the setup is very strong. However, if you have a strong setup for something, you must follow through with it, and I see things in the narrative that were not entirely followed through on, leaving me feeling somewhat disappointed.
At the same time, however, the portrayal of trauma and how it affects the individuals that experienced it is handled with extreme care and compassion, making it easy for the reader to feel for the ones struggling. Seeing this greatly improved the story. Even though I have issues with the execution, I do see great value in a lot of the subjects being dealt with.
Characters
Ted Anderson
Oh, Ted. My heart breaks for this character. The way Armanis Ar-Feinial writes about him shows a man who is haunted by his past actions to the point where he refuses to let anyone into his life. The guilt he feels is portrayed incredibly vividly, showing that he is struggling greatly to see himself in a good light after his past actions.
It is clear in the story that he cares greatly for both the people from the past and the people presently in his life. I immensely enjoyed seeing how his character grew and developed over the course of the narrative. The mystery surrounding him made me curious about not just who he is as a person, but what role he will play in the overall story being built.
Jennifer
I feel like we see Jennifer the most clearly in the narrative besides Ted. Seeing her want so badly to be close to him and learn about him is touching, and I wanted to see them grow to a point of mutual friendship. Seeing what Jennifer goes through in trying to get to Ted, pushing him a bit but never losing that kind, friendly demeanor with him is incredibly heartwarming!
Talking about Jennifer by herself, I found myself concerned for her as the narrative went on, especially as certain plot developments came out. That said, with those developments, it was awesome to see her reaffirm her connection to God and how she refuses to lose faith no matter what happens. This shows me an incredibly strong individual who will not allow any difficult news to knock her down. She refuses to give up being optimistic and faithful and wanting the best for others.
Lieutenant J. Nakamura
Now, on the flip side of the coin, Lieutenant Nakamura genuinely infuriated me. I could not believe some of the things she did, with really no remorse or care for how her actions affected others. She is painted in such a way that I wonder if she even has it in her to show any remorse for her actions. It was genuinely alarming to see.
One example of this is how she treats a group of innocent children in the narrative, forcing these fragile individuals to engage in acts that will scar them for life with absolutely no other emotion on her end besides a disturbingly cheery tone. She works to show some of the more depraved aspects of the world being built and how it affects those victimized.
Structure
Now, unfortunately, the structure is where I ran into problems with the story. Armanis Ar-Feinial starts out the narrative with intriguing subjects and elements that I was genuinely interested in. However, not enough time is given to all these elements. While I greatly enjoyed Ted’s storyline, it was leaned into so heavily that the other plot points set up were neglected. By the end of the story, I was wondering about what happened to some of the things that had been set up. There are elements that are introduced, but not sufficiently addressed by the conclusion of the story.
Just as an example, what exactly is going on with this Holy Grail and Pandora’s Box? When these elements are introduced, they are talked about like these highly top-secret entities that a lot of soldiers are not allowed to know about. It is established that the Holy Grail is the key to Pandora’s Box. What does that mean? What is Pandora’s Box needed for? Why are casters not allowed to know anything about this? I think these elements are connected to both the prologue and the situation with NATO established in the beginning of the story, but I cannot be sure because they are not brought up often enough to confirm it.
Another example of the continuity needing improvement is with the situation regarding Jennifer. I feel like her arc needed more significant closure than what it got. I was waiting for something else to happen with her after that last phone call, and it unfortunately was never followed through on. The situation didn’t have to necessarily be resolved, but I would have liked at least a hint as to what comes next.
Writing
One of the pluses with this story is the writing. The prose is highly compelling and easy to get wrapped up in! Particularly in the sections dealing with Task Force Seven, it was gripping to see how everything unfolded because each scene is built with care and just enough detail to keep the reader invested, while also keeping up a sense of intrigue surrounding this element.
Another place where the prose sticks out is when we are following Ted when he is being tormented by his past. The tone of the narrative completely shifts from the warm camaraderie of Jennifer and her friends to the crushing loneliness and guilt of Ted’s character. On that note, it is also significant to me how, in one scene, Samantha goes to Ted’s door and hears him weeping. This type of scene would not work at all if that tonal shift did not occur, and the prose paints the scene with the emotional weight it deserves, helping the reader connect to and be moved by what he is going through.
Conclusion
So, I’m a bit mixed on this one. Like I said, I see a rather compelling setup, but the execution needs work for the narrative to hit home most effectively. There are elements that are very intriguing, and the characters are sympathetic, but the structure needs a more solid foundation for the story to have the greatest impact.
Despite the issues I have with it, however, I would recommend this story to someone looking for a heartwarming take on veterans and what impact time in the military can have on someone. In the end, Armanis Ar-Feinial has created a narrative that is incredibly strong on that front, and it is a story worth looking into for anyone interested in a deep-dive on a soldier’s life.

Hedgehog is one of the more interesting books I've read lately. And above all, different.

The beginning of the book begins explosively and dynamically showing a group of soldiers fleeing and fighting for their lives. After that, the plot throws us into another time showing a group of friends who try to make the world a better place with their behavior. The main characters Samantha and Jennifer meet Ted, who occupies their attention above all. Realizing that Ted carries a heavier burden on his back than most of the people around them, they decide to help him, not even knowing what secrets are involved. In parallel with them, we watch another plot in which the Holy Grail is stolen. Little by little, the story draws you in deeper and deeper and you are constantly looking for that explosion that is coming, but in the end, unfortunately, it doesn't come. The book ends right at the crossroads where Ted finally agrees to accept new friends and their help and with the situation that Ted's head is blackmailed. In other words, you're left with your mouth hanging open for more, and you're miserable because you have to wait for the second installment.

The book is really different from most stories because the writer left that one important chapter open, so you don't really have an ending. You really have to wait and hope that the sequel will come soon. I really like that it is written in a simple and understandable way. There are no boring parts that make you yawn and hope they finish as soon as possible. Everything scrolls from page to page. And that's how you get to the end. I really like the character of Ted. The way his suffering is portrayed is really cool. In order to protect himself and others around him, Ted created a barrier around him that is impossible to break through. Fortunately, the people who surrounded him had the right and sincere intentions and managed to start his bubble of protection and provide him with what he desperately needs. I must admit that I didn't like the character of Jennifer and Samantha that much because I don't think there are such people in the real world. Unfortunately, at least I didn't meet them. They are selfless, loyal, and ready to help anyone in need. They look at bad things in life positively with the attitude that everything is God's will. I'm afraid there aren't many people like that. But that's just one little thing in the whole book.

Finally, many thanks to Booktasters for giving me the opportunity to read this book and even more thanks to the author who approved it. I look forward to seeing Ted's further adventures and his struggle.

Is it weird to call a massive book an easy read? Credit to author Armanis Ar-Feinial that I digested this tome over a very busy period, and despite the spread-out sessions, it was easy to pick up and get back into the vivid worlds of the disparate characters. This, despite the fact that I’m new at reading military fantasy, and feel very much a layman/“civvy” in writing this.

The Holy Grail War, also known as The Hedgehog, runs over 400 pages, spread over a prologue and 24 chapters. The author had apparently asked himself if he was writing “a tale of adventure, despair, magic, suffering, regret, or action”, and my simple answer would be “Yes!” At its essence, it’s a gripping, touching story about Veteran Integration, and how hardened (scarred) military veterans cope with re-entry into civilian life. We need to do more to stand by those who stood for us.

(And by the way, it’s interesting that Ar-Feinial was inspired by an anime about a 15-year-old girl in peacetime, coming to terms with having been a tool of war. I appreciated his skill in working with diversity on many levels in the caster operatives and soldiers, and these individuals’ varied responses to the work and what it costs.)

The main characters
1. Ghost / “Ted”a military veteran struggling with PTSD. The book covers several key points of his life till the current day
2. Jennifer, Samantha, and their small group of friends in the current day
3. Major Sarah McCurdya military operative with the (American) Caster Administration.
4. Culain, Ilya, Blanka and Alexandera special squad of the (British) Caster Administration.

“For there to be peace, any at all, we must remove all manner of humans from the equation.”
~Administrator Colton.

Unsurprisingly, the most engaging scenarios are the action, espionage and high-stakes sequences, particularly those of Ghost, McCurdy and the Culain/Ilya group. The book opens straight into a gritty, prolonged deadly battle with gripping momentum and a painful toll. It’s a vivid hell of an opening, maybe not for the faint-hearted or those suffering PTSD from war.

There are distinct switches in flavour as the book jumps across different time periods, locations, or characters’ worldviews. Each setting is described just enough for your mind to fill in the rest — you almost smell the different air, feel the different textured surfaces, and hear the background ambience.

The facility with which Ar-Feinial writes the high-stakes scenes isn’t so apparent in the early scenes of Samantha, Jennifer, and the "current-day characters”. Their situation is just not as high stakes and their “normalcy" feels a little contrived. The takeaway emotion from the opening was low-key irritability, which is not geared to make you fall in love with anyone. But perhaps it's indicative of how "something in the air" makes them feel out of sorts and edgy (and it's also a group I'm not very familiar with, so maybe the dynamics of some such groups can be like that).

Sam, Jenn, and their gang are more meaningfully fleshed out in their subsequent scenes, as they start to consciously form an emotional support network for Ted. (And I do hope they do some research on how to provide emotional support in a way that keeps them, and him, safe.) You're not sure what Ted’s agenda is at first, so as more of him is unveiled, his struggle to keep it together and what he’s tried to do (and had to do) in the past make for a gut-wrenching story.

McCurdy and Culain & gang are still in the thick of the action, having to do dirty deeds to keep the lid on warfare during peacetime. And it’s very clear — while war is ugly, peace is beyond travesty when it’s enforced by oppression. And things start to get hairy when these various formidable characters start getting wind of each other.

And that’s where the book ended! It’s a powerful setup for sequel/s, and I knew that Book Two (The Nihilistic Neverending Nightmare) had already come out. Unfortunately I'd gotten so into Book One The Holy Grail War that when it ended, I wailed in dismay at the unresolved twists and teasers! After the buildup in this one, I can’t imagine how Book Two could be described as having "a low stake scenario", albeit with high tension! In any case, if I can get my hands on the second book, I’ll update with a review!

Other books by Armanis Ar-Feinial:
- The Nihilistic Neverending Nightmare
- The Desecration of the World
- The Covenant
- Secrets of Terra Silenti
- The Covenant Of Unverdus Or The Green Forest Turned Black

The book captures war related traumas and characters dealing with them along with a manhunt but i feel that a certain section of people will connect more with the book than the others. People who like action packed thrillers would certainly enjoy it but i feel author could make the book more relatable while capturing the emotions. I also feel that in a few portions more research is required because even in the works of fiction, realism is required because the portion about a man calling to start a cold war just seemed hilarious rather than real, although in geo-politics such things do happen but it's not so easy because there was no weight to the words. Overall the book is enjoyable to read on a free day.

Thanks, Netgalley and publisher for the opportunity to read and review!
Really sudden beginning, which isn't typical for many books, but it kinda slaps you across the face and makes you pay attention in case you miss something important. I liked that a lot! The story is unique because it combines elements of fantasy and sci-fi, but that's not the core of the setting or the story as a whole. There's deeper intent and it all revolves around human nature and how it changes through certain events. What is given and what is taken from human's soul. and mind. I love the balance in deeper inner character development and the development of the story itself. Definitely a must-read!

I was thrilled when I was reading this book. The story shows how unaware we are in the world. There might be things which we haven't seen and think that might doesn't exist but it gives a tour of those supernatural elements. The character goes through the past trauma. We get to know other characters perspective too which gives better clear view. I really liked the storyline and fascinated by it.

SYNOPSIS
A professional read for all professions in the fight against the demons that plague the world globally. In this read ,the characters blame themselves for doing nothing leading to the bloodshed bearing the guilt of the killings. This read is also one which can serve as a military fiction as we see the result of loss of care by a military personnel or one in the battle of life in Ghost loss of care for himself and his country as the bullets came rushing towards him and the inception of the war with the monsters and retaliatory attacks. We see Ghost regret of his violence and murder. The book discusses a wide range of topics from news censorship in elections;temperature and climatic disruptions in New England; importance of an active world body like NATO to regulate use of arms; also a body to regulate recession, and petroleum prices and whether it would prevent encroaching on a nation's sovereignty by super power nations; Military communication through inter com facility;climate disruptions;climate change ;natural radiative disruptions; telecommunication and transmission of sound, energy and radiation;the implications and bearing of insignias , inscription , artifacts, vision statement or motto by institutions and its members as seen in the inscription seven on the task force and especially as regards soldiers and combatants and whether the mission has to do with desecrating the sanctity of life ; amongst others. The book while looking at the battle of life points us to the fact that everyone could be a victim of the hedgehog and that we fight as soldiers in protection of the environment and children (chilled reign). It raises questions on importance of military officers involvement in managing climate disruptions;whether there could be an abuse of these insignias by scrupulous persons to taunt others retrospectively;whether a police officer could evade his bounds to step into road traffic rules enforcement and whether this was an evasion of duty if he stood watching without action as seen of the police officer who witnessed a road traffic breach;whether a child whose innocence was striped away from him could be enlisted in the army or whether this innocence could be striped in a battle(bar tool) to experience children)chilled reign) and whether one who experienced this was at fault;whether the object of protection under lawful circumstance could refuse protection whether by error or omission; whether being the object of protection makes you a burden to yourself and others;amongst others.

What can I say about a book with a title as at once intriguing and perplexing as Holy Grail War: The Hedgehog? It certainly not two things you would expect to go together on a book cover. The first part is so epic in scale, and the other refers to a cute little animal with spines. But it definitely sparks curiosity on the part of the reader. More so when first getting into the story and it opens up on a prologue of a harrowing scene right in the middle of a bloody shootout at, of all places, Area 51. A unique combination of elements for a book, to be sure. But you know what they say, appearances can be deceiving, and this book goes much deeper than what the title or even the cover, or even the prologue, would suggest. Yes, there are traces of magical realism here, but at its core, this book is about the psychological cost of putting a human being through the violence of war. More fantastical elements aside, the passion behind this book is real and raw. For some, it might be easier than for others to see where the cultural influences for this story come from, but at its heart, the story as seems to be seeking a catharsis iton the same way the main characters are, one that will finally set them all free from the burdens they bear. Like all works of fiction with such gravitas in its plot, it's definitely something that anyone who picks it up will take away something different. Some might connect with it wholeheartedly, some might feel nothing but indifference or even strong disagreement with some of its themes, or anything in between. The best way to find out though really, is to give it a read for oneself.  For me personally, I have some mixed feelings about some of its content and ideas, hence my very middling rating. But that's me. For others, it might be one of the most meaningful things they ever read. It's all a matter of perspective.

I have loved reading since my childhood, and I still can't go a day without reading the pages, this book or this story or this novel that has drawn me to it since the first pages by authorship "ArmanisAr-feinial" And I really thank booktasters for showing it to me, it was very cool.
The thing that fascinates you about it is the way of narration, the characters and the depth in each character that makes the reader a singer and completely focused on reading, for example, a character ted anderson That character who will not forgive herself and does not leave any room for a person to enter her life and that is the depth that the reader feels, especially when some paragraphs that tell in detail about a character, And Jennifer's character is also with another concept, and that immersion in not losing hope and closeness to Ted and that friendship that creates between them is incredible.
There are some points that haven't been explained much that I was hoping to read more about, it was all focused on the Ted D story, but I really enjoyed the story so much that when I got to Page 50 I couldn't stop reading , I was hungry to know what would happen.
A great story I hope that all people who are passionate about reading it will read, read and enjoy and don't take it seriously so as not to disappoint you, I hope you give it a chance. Especially for people who love military novels, soldiers ' lives and the atmosphere of wars.

This book was given to me in exchange por an honest opinion.

Ghost is a tormented man. He is the only survivor of Team7, a special operations team responsible for reaching a lasting global peace at the cost of hundreds of thousands of deads, killed one by one, all of whose faces storm his dreams making his life a living hell. Oh, and also, he is a wizard. Don't tell him. Nevertheless, he finds love and friendship at the hands of a pesky group of Jehova Witnesses. In the meantime, the International Wizards organization get stolen the most important artifact in the history of mankind. War is coming, and millions will die, again.

Ain't gonna lie, I hated the hipster Jehova Witnesses. If they'd board me as they did with Ghost, I'd punch them. Also the wording is sometimes confusing, a style correction would have been useful if a couple of passages. It wasn't obvious this was a multi-book story but I should have known, this is the way all books are written now and by the last quarter is clear there is not enough space to end the tale. And I'm not saying the story is weak but I see many plot holes I hope they are covered in the next delivery. But still I liked it, I liked the dramatis personae growth, and I look forward to read the next chapter of this story.

Despite this being a good story, it commits the cardinal sin of simply not having a finish. There's a lot of world-buidling, character development, and plotting which then just ... ends with nothing resolved at all. It's good to see that this is a #1, but there's no indication of this in the version I got, so it left me horribly unsatisfied.

On top of this, it's obvious that the author is not a native English speaker, due to some very odd phrasing and a plethora of almost-but-not-quite-correct words, as if the author knew the start of the word he wanted but let auto-correct complete it. As well, the typesetting was horrendous, with many of the words run together as one, making it very difficult to read. Though this is, strictly speaking, not the author's fault, it does show a serious lack of care on someone's part.

To sum up, a disappointing book in desperate need of a good editor and a proof-reader.

It was my first time reading english book with a heavy plot in it. And turned out I loved it and it was a 4 stars for me, despite all the typos in it. Yeah, there are many typos there. Well, not typo tho, just some words that the author forgot to space ( ex : Jenniferwalked )
Maybe those who don't like gore stuffs won't sit right with this book, since it contains many gore scenes. I, personally, can feel what Ted feels there. About the lonely and wanting to d!e feelings. But, what makes me unsatisfied is there are many things were not discovered yet. About the Holy Grail which was stolen by Sarah, the information Ilya brought for her team, and Culain's mission to investigate Ted after the night he k!lled some robbers. Maybe all of them will explained in the next book. I'll read the next book asap and I hope the conflict's resolution won't disappoint me. It's all from me!

It's a nice story mixed with ptsd and magic. It goes into war trauma, the characters' lives, and gives an insight to life. It's filled with action and somewhat relatable.

I'm going to give it 3 stars cause some things just didn't sit right, but I guess the second book will have the answers.

The books flow was very irregular. At some places, it had a grip as compared to other times where it felt like it was dragged.

I’m a reluctant video gamer, but war games especially I don’t enjoy because they are too busy; too many details and gory at that.
In your face gruesomeness, at some point it felt like I was a witness to it, I literally became guilty and stopped reading the book for a while.

I somehow senses a disconnectedness especially in the beginning from chapter to chapter. Later I picked up the style - actually cleve and so well written though not my cup of tea. Mind blowing action ang precission killing right from word go, military style and strange fantasy with mana veins and all. The resurrecting soldiers, pandoras box, holy grail wow.
Some budding romance was welcome as well though proving that love is blind. Provoking some emotions and keep wondering what’s next.

I like to give 5 stars when ever i sincerely enjoyed a book, I feel the author deserves to know his/her hard work paid off. This book gave me so many perspectives, it left me fascinated, curious and intrigued. I couldn't stop reading, I wanted to know what happens next. The touch of magical and super natural powers, the stolen Holy Grail, the characters, and the way everything just adds up is exciting. The author did an amazing job, anytime I read a good book, I always wish I can think and write like this. Congratulations Armanis, you are a fantastic writer....keep writing ✍ and thanks so much for sharing 💕🙏.

Thank you to the author and BookTasters for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This book is a a easy read that you can get into even of you are not a fan of this genre. This book has quite a lot of action in it and some gore that not only may put some readers off but the same time makes this more of an adult read rather than a YA read. There are a number of different characters in this book an the writing does a really good job of including the viewpoints of the main characters. Overall a story that keeps you reading until the very end. A good military fantasy, action adventure book.

The Holy Grail War: The Hedgehog was an interesting story. The ideas surrounding the Holy Grail, Pandora’s Box and King Arthur were all intriguing areas of the story. However, it was difficult to ascertain what was happening at times as the story felt disjointed. As a reader I could see that the plots may come together in the future, but it did not happen in the book and left the story a bit underwhelming and made some characters and scenarios seem a bit pointless. The book unpacked the horrors of war well and the irreparable damage it does to a human being both mentally and physically. If you enjoy stories of war and destruction this could be the book for you.

I quite enjoyed reading this story, 'cause it has a bit of everything. I'd have liked it to have romance? Yup, but it doesn't matter, the plot is very well built, as are the characters. The development of the story allows you to empathize with the characters, but the one who takes center stage is Ted, obviously. I'm not surprised the book doesn't get as much recognition because treasures are always hidden, but this one deserves more.

The only thing I could say that annoyed me a bit is that there are so many povs, so there were some very confusing moments, but otherwise I really liked it.

I read the book thinking in action and suspense. And that might be why i didnt like it much.
The beginning was full of action where i was having 1000 theories of what could come next. None of them was what was next. Tried to keep the pace with the characters but couldnt relate to any. Many parts of good suspense where im ready for something to happen, had the scene going through with nothing relevant.

This book is explosive. Literally. I like how the author kept Ted's character firm and fierce throughout. This book will occupy you with intrigues. As you keep reading, the chapters will provide insights on how the magic system works. It is a well-built world. At times the scenes can be overwhelming but the plot has a solid foundation.

Weird

I had such a hard time getting into this story. Even after I finally managed to read the very last sentence, I am still thinking "where is the storyline?"

Very disjointed with oddly created characters with no true storyline to even make it an enjoyable read. I was never so happy as I was when I finally finished this.
