Her life certainly isn’t one. Widowed at thirtyish with a young son isn’t the happily ever after she’d envisioned when she was a kid. She needs a new fairy godmother.
Except now that she’s living in the quaint Irish town of Caisleán, she can feel magic in the air, and it’s not just the local matchmaking ghost. It’s in everyone she meets—especially Kade Donovan, the owner and operator of a pony therapy farm.
Kade listens to her and encourages her in a way no man ever has before, even going so far as to enlist her help on his farm. He’s a true—if unexpected—Prince Charming.
But her storybook life went south before—what’s to say it won’t again? Better to have loved and lost, right? Except is she that brave? Will she be able to set the past aside so she and Kade can move from friends to lovers, with maybe even a happily ever after thrown in?

I know when I start reading a new Ava Miles book, I am going to love it, but this one was exceptional. I loved the characters and Kade Donavan stole my heart. His way with horses and children healing him with his words and his touch had me just melting. And he did the same thing to widow Megan Bennett. He brought her center back to her with her craft and gave her the will and strength to me her own women. Though there were a lot of tender moments with these two, there were lots of wonderful secondary characters that brought a lot of Irish joy and laughter to the book. I love Donnal and Bets courtship. There were a lot of lol moments with them trying to find time to be together. And Liam, Bets son, saved the day for them. You will have to read the books to find out just how he saved the day for his mom and Donnal.
Most of all this book makes me want to go back to Ireland so much. I hope to get back one day. And Ava, if this book should ever and I hope it does get made into a movie series, there is no one other than Pierce Brosnan who could play Donnal...
Ava Miles, you have another grand book that I am sure is jumping off the shelves. I look forward to Brady's book and all The Prince Charming's to come.
This is the second book in a series. I matching-making ghost is at work in a small Irish town. This time it is for Megan, a potter, and Kade, a horse breeder and therapist. "Megan Bennet no longer believes in fairytales. Her life certainly isn’t one. Widowed at thirtyish with a young son isn’t the happily ever after she’d envisioned when she was a kid. Book two in a series. These should be read in order.
Megan, who has tagged along to Ireland with her sister, Angie, unwillingly sets her son Ollie up for horse riding lessons with Kade Donovan, who runs a horse-therapy business. Megan believes her son needs help to get over the death of his father, a soldier who died in Afghanistan. Kade is blessed with "knowing" or second sight as he already knows that Megan is his soul mate. He just has to convince Megan that it is okay to love again.
Lots of magic and drama - and continuing help from a ghost, Sorcha, - help Megan find herself again and allow her, Ollie, and Kade to become a family.
This series is one of the best I've read ! I love that the story is set in Ireland and that there's a match making ghost. There's so many good thing's to say about this book . First of all there's love and friendship, a great little village, art, sex, some trouble making villagers and of course a ghost. This book made me laugh, cry, curious, happy and love the characters . I'm looking forward to the rest of the series. I highly recommend the Unexpected Prince Charming Series !
Wow just wow. Once again Ava Miles delivers a most charming story of love refund for Megan. She had had a miserable marriage and after her husband had died she and her sister Angie had travelled to Ireland to meet their cousins. Megan found the love of her life with the most unexpected help from a ghost. An incredible story well told and thoroughly enjoyable.
I loved Megan and Kade's story and how each character grew stronger in their own sense of self.
However, I didn't enjoy this book as much as the previous one, primarily because of the side story of Bea and Donal. It got rather crude at times, which I felt detracted from the story of two older people finding each other. There was also a disturbing amount of heavy alcohol consumption throughout this book. It felt almost insultingly stereotypical.
Meagan and Kade are an enchanting couple. He patiently waits for Meagan to realize not all men are like her father and dead husband. To realize if something is compelling it's worth it await for perfection.
I enjoy Sorcha, the ghost helping each of her husband's friends find and keep true love. You'll laugh and cry along with the characters as life happens. Another wonderful story in Ava Miles Prince Charming series. Now to read Brady's story!
Finding our person is a journey filled with detours, rocky paths, and many curves in the road. Mistakes happen and unwise choices are made. With patience and perseverance, we can eventually be blessed to have that one person come into our lives at the point when we are able to truly recognize their worth, value and rightness!
Ava MIles' Unexpected Prince Charming series is exactly that - charming. This second book focuses on the transformation of Megan from a sad widow used to feeling inferior, to a positive woman able to try new things and value herself more. Her love story with Kade is magical. I liked the mixture of sad events with comical ones, and the Irish backdrop is magical.
I loved this story - Megan and Kade's coming together was just perfect. Some of the passages brought tears to my eyes with how beautiful they were. There is lots to uncover - with Megan's parents and her past as well as for Kade and his father - but it's a beautiful story. Can't wait for Brady's story next! although really interested in Liam's story after all.
It is always a delight to discover a new author and get lost in their stories. Each time I return to Ireland in the stories I read I fall in love again. Ava’s characters are so rich in personality and the interweaving of magic makes it so much more charming. I am looking forward to reading and dreaming throughout the entire series.
As usual, Ava Miles blesses readers with a marvelous story. Engaging characters, including horses and dogs, fill the pages with personal triumphs. Looking forward to the next book in the series.
I really liked this series. The love is sweet and sexy. I appreciate the lack of explicit description. I’m looking forward to the next one. I also love Ireland, so I can imagine the description of the land.
Once again Ava Miles has taken us on the roller coaster that is new love with people of all ages. It is so special that she shares characters who are at all stages of life, from Megan and Kade finding a second chance at love, to Bets and Donal finding love and lust as they enter their sixties. Love and sex and the bloom of new romance doesn’t stop at 30!
I always love Ava Miles books, and this was no exception. It kept me up all night to finish it—too good to put down! I loved the lovable and quirky characters! Kade is my new book boyfriend! I need to go to Ireland now!
I’ve always loved reading Ava’s books. But this one was so needed. I started reading this the day my father passed away, and it brought me so much and love. Thank you for making this time not so horrible.
Full of Irish fun and magic. Fast moving, easy reading. Makes you long for that type of love and hope for the future. The love between the older couples is great
I love this series! It is one of the best summer reads ever!!! You can actually picture yourself in Ireland enjoying a pint and listening to Irish tales. The book brings out the personality of the Irish that never meet a stranger. Enjoy!!!
Miles writes wonderful stories, with Irish names I can’t pronounce and Irish men I’d love to meet! Great book, can’t wait to read the next one! Love the horses, spirits and tales.
I continue to enjoy the series with book 2. I really like Kade overall with his insight and positivity. Megan does grow into her strength, but it’s a process with a number of missteps. The audiobook is quite good and I recommend it with the book.
Arriving in Ireland a grieving woman with a young son was so hard , she and her sister were so different and even thought they loved one another they had many disagreements and because of the locals she wss beginning to understand she needed to change.
What a well written love story. I couldn’t put it down! The descriptions of feelings and places left a clear picture in my mind. I’m looking forward to reading another of Ava Miles books.
A wonderful, emotional, and moving novel. Ava writes with such vivid descriptions that made my mind swim. Gorgeous! I was in tears in places. I felt the joy and drama in equal measure.
I really enjoyed this book. Megan was by far my least favorite character in the first book (couldn't stand her). She is redeemed and then some in this book.
Lovely story with a cozy atmosphere to it. Just further solodified I wish I could live in this fictional Irish village.
I so enjoy ready Ava Miles stories. They make me feel like anything is possible. When I first started reading this book I wanted to shake Megan’s shoulders but loved reading her coming into her own.
An Irish love story with dogs and horses, none better!
I definitely appreciate Ms. Miles writing and turn of phrase. She has a way with words. The characters are interesting and build with each new story. Looking forward to the next.
