I'm at HSK 2 level and i love Katrina's books. The joyful illustrations help with context for my comprehension. I enjoy playing her read-along recording on you tube while reading the book as well as reading it out loud to myself without her recording. The books are fun and engaging and so great for both building my vocabulary helping me learn syntax.
I love bilingual books like this, it is so helpful for kids who have multi language families. And the hike is a great format to cover lots of words as they point out all the things they see.
This book follows a family preparing for and going on a hike. Throughout the hike, many essential tools for hiking are discussed.
In a classroom, this book can teach students about the important tools needed for a hike and may even encourage students to go on a hike! This book can help students become interested in nature
This is nice story about hiking to encourage kids to explore and spend time in nature. It's a lovely book to read as a family to prepare for a hike. The illustrations are lovely. The text was a little small to read on the Kindle though.
A young boy notices all of the nature around him when he goes for a hike with his parents. Colorful illustrations and easy rhymes will make this a fun read at bedtime and inspire your kids to notice the world around them.
Let’s Go On A Hike is a wonderful way to get kids into the great outdoors. The loving family and beautiful drawings make a walk in the woods seem like the most amazing day ever.
Great illustrations and story to bring kids outside and let them explore the nature with a family )) With the help of a binocular then main character was happy to explore ants, feather and other interesting things in the forest )
Great rhymes, beautiful illustrations! What a fun read for any nature lover. We loved this book! Love the message that there is so much to see in any hike.
I’m planning to take my kids on a few hikes in the coming weeks and this really hit the spot! I’m going to read this to them tomorrow and put some binoculars in my Amazon cart lol. Wish me luck!
If anyone is trying to learn Chinese or has a student that speaks Chinese, this a wonderful tool to use. It has Chinese, Pinyin, and English on the pages. It is wonderful. Thanks Katrina Liu👍😁
I really liked reading this book, the illustrations were detailed and I liked how it was a rhyming story. It's about a family and appreciating nature, trails, and the outdoors. This would be a great read aloud book!!!
Let's go on a hike is an inspiring book to read with your family. Walkling is one of the best adventures to enjoy with your children. This book encourages you to spend time outdoors, where you can go on a treasure hunt, explore beautiful unseen places, and discover exciting new things.
This is a great book for children and adults learning the language. It offers a different context of dialog and story from what is often found in official learning materials such as HSK or Duolingo. Wonderfully illustrated and easy to read typescript.
Let's Go On A Hike! by Katrina Liu – This was an Amazon freebie. Someone needs to go into the Amazon listing and capitalize the letters in the title for the sake of my grammar pedantry lol! But this is cute! Happy Reading!

Using this book to learn Tagalog. I like how there are some repeated start of a sentence like “Look” over there. We need more English and Tagalog bilingual books!
I enjoyed this book so much. It had characters of diverse backgrounds and they were doing what many of us do on a regular basis. The introduction of binoculars made it even more interesting. Love the illustrations!
