This South African version of 50 Shades of Grey was a breath of fresh air. I rarely read romancey type of books but this one I liked. I adored the poems between chapters and who can say no to dual POVs?!
Dilia finally met the stranger that came to her rescue after an insident that happened 2 years before. That's when the fun starts. In a almost whirlwind-like romance between them , life came with it's own problems in the form of exes 😕.
What's a great story without drama? This one covered many firsts and about exploration is a great story indeed.
I didn't connect that much with the book, but I want to read the next book to hopefully get the connection and get more of what i expected. It is well written, but there's something missing for me. I can't pinpoint it exactly.
This is not my usual genre but I found myself getting so invested that I read the entire book in a day. There is something about Dilia that pulls you in.
Reading a romance that featured African characters in Johannesburg was a plus. Highly recommend.
