I love that this was set in the mysterious Denver Airport during a snowstorm. Rosamilia brings back a character from each of his previous Severed Press books to battle it out with a pack of ravenous cryptids. Such a fun read! I can only hope there will be a sequel.
My first read from Armand and i really enjoyed it. The writing is good and story itself is interesting and gory. A few creepy parts with characters trying to evade their pursuers.
There's a disclaimer at the start stating that the characters in the book are from various creature feature books written by Armand (which they obviously survived!) and he recommends reading them to get backstory. I didnt really find that necessary - i checked out the synopsis of each book on Amazon then with that, coupled with small details in this story, gave enough info to figure out what happened.
Tight narrative with compelling characters. Armand does a great job of combining the players from his different universes. I will have to go back to the other books now!
What occurs during a terrible snow storm at the Denver airport. This is my first book by author Armand Rosamilia. It was quite interesting from the beginning. The main characters from this book are according to the author are characters from five other books he's written. Based on the personalities of the characters and what their previous adventures focused on (a variety of Creature Features). As I found this book entertaining, I imagine I would the others as well. I look forward to reading a few of them.
In this book the monsters that stalk the airport have a distinct advantage. They were intelligent creatures who probably realized their victims wouldn't be escaping by running out into the brutal winter storm that has shut down flights in and out of the airport. So they had their choice of people on the buffet of the concourse.
I enjoy both weather disasters and creature features so it was fun having them combined. If savage killings, gruesome carnage, and losing "oh not that character" bothers you then maybe you should give this book a wide pass. But if you enjoy all of that plus sprinklings of humor then grab your copy today. You won't be disappointed.
I have to say, I enjoyed this story. It had non-stop action and not all the main characters made it which kind of surprised me.
The creatures, Chupacabra, are creepy. They come from a crashed plane - though no one seems to connect their appearance with the crash. Not sure why. But they get into the terminal during a snow storm that has grounded all the planes leaving thousands of travelers for the creatures to feed upon.
Some of the characters I was familiar with from their books but not all of them. However, this did not seem to take away from the book at all.
This tale of terror grabs you by the throat and never lets up. Rosamilia has cleverly used 5 characters from previous books who have one thing in common, they've all survived an attack by creatures that most people wouldn't believe actually exist. Can they yet again beat the odds or will this new horror win this round? I highly recommend this book for fans of the horror/supernatural genres.
A snow storm hits Denver airport, trapping many travellers . A!! Inbound. and outbound flights canceled. When dogs or animals get inside the the waiting terminals. Passengers have to fight to stay alive
Tons of fun violence. The only thing I was missing was background on the main characters - apparently they were all from the author's previous books. I'm inspired to go back and read them now.
Ch ch ch chilling. Monsters, a snowstorm outside, thus trapping people inside at an airport and you have a super scenario. It was nice that I knew several of the character from some of this authors other books, but you don’t really have to have read them to enjoy this. The ending was a bit quick and it could have gone on a bit more but I’m okay with how it ended.
