Sober Man's Thoughts

Sober Man's Thoughts is a gritty, self-reflective journey where William Bolyard dives into his deepest thoughts and emotions from a past of love, death, and vices. Told through poetry, from behind every backroom bar and bottle from Tangier to Havana. This is for the lost and broken. Readers beware.

I got to meet the author at a Veterans Day performance in Old Town Alexandria. Super cool guy. I really enjoyed this collection of poems - sad, raw, insightful with a dash of hope. I look forward to reading his first novel.

Very relatable collection of poetry, that I recommend to just about anyone who has an interest in poetry, or would find the work relatable. It inspired me to write down some lines here and there as well. 5/5

I think he can dig deeper. But for a first poetry book? Excellent.

First book of poetry for me. I chose one written by a combat vet and it was raw and full of carnage.
