Awe inspiring!
Although this book is rated for children 6 - 11, I think any adult would find this book extremely informative and educational. If not already, it should be in school libraries to serve as inspiration for Black and Brown children. In addition, I think other ethnic groups would benefit as well. It helps us to give more thought to how we view others.

'Black Inventors: 15 Inventions That Changed the World' (Biographies For Kids) written by Kathy Trusty
I got this for my nieces & nephews, but of course I read it first since I don't give books to kids without vetting them first for content.
I very much enjoyed this book, although wished for a bit more details about the inventors. Still, it's a good jumping off place to get started and one can always learn more from other resources. I actually learned quite a bit about many inventions, which was really cool!

The summaries were the perfect length to be informative and interesting. I liked the wide range of inventions and how they are relevant to our current world and technology.

A must have for every home bookshelf
Amazed at how many everyday conveniences were invented by Black people. This should be on everyone’s bookshelf. Adding it to mine and my kid’s.
