This is a book that uses the alphabet as a device to introduce Egyptian words and culture and history. Unlike most alphabet books, this one doesn't always use words where the featured letter is the first letter. If the letter is in the word somewhere, it counts, in this book.
On the back cover, other books in the series are listed: Australia ABCs, Kenya ABCs, Germany ABCs, Mexico ABCs, and Japan ABCs. I'm not sure if any are still in print, but there are a few used copies for sale online in places.
This was a thrift store find. It's an interesting book, well worth a thrift store price tag. I put it between three and four stars.
