Love magic, mystery, intrigue, and the occult? You’ll love the White Haven Hunters. Buckle up for the ride!
I'm a writer, a pagan, and a witch, and consequently love all things magical. I write fictional books about witchcraft and the paranormal, and they are jam-packed with fabulous characters, colourful settings, plenty of action, and lots of humour.
I was born in England, in the Black Country, but moved to New Zealand in 2006. I lived near Wellington with my partner Jase, and my cats Sacha and Leia. However, in April 2022 we moved again! Yes, I like making my life complicated… I’m now living in the Algarve in Portugal, and loving the fabulous weather and people. When I’m not busy writing I read lots, indulge in gardening and shopping, and I love yoga.
Confession time! I’m a Star Trek geek – old and new – and love urban fantasy and detective shows. Secret passion – Columbo! Favourite Star Trek film is the Wrath of Khan, the original! Other top films – Predator, the original, and Aliens.
In a previous life I was a singer in a band, and used to do some acting with a theatre company. For more on me, check out a couple of my blog posts. I have also written a blog about how I finally became comfortable about calling myself a witch. It's called Leaning into my Witch.
I enjoyed reading Dark Star so much, I read it immediately a second time. The characters draw you in and immerse you in their world. The pace is fast and the action is plenty. You could read this as standalone but it is so much better when you read the series. The drama, intrigue and pure paranormal delivery makes an incredibly interesting story. As an unpaid arc reviewer this is my honest impression of this book.
This was one of the most exciting stories I have read in the White Haven Hunters series in which the protagonists are Shadow, the fae hunter and Gabe and the rest of his Nephilim brothers. They are offered a job by Caldwell Fleet, the Grand Adept of the Midnight Sun who had an astrolabe stolen from their premises and wanted this returned before the alignment of the planets occurred. They take on the job and do find the astrolabe amidst a lot of danger because others were also interested in this precious antique artefact. They are then employed as bodyguards for Caldwell and Aubrey who decide they want to travel to France in search of the place of the origins of their organisation to hold a ritual on the site once this was finally located. Everyone travels to France but they are followed by the Black Cronos leader and his minions including the woman, the stealer of souls. Apart from this group whose minions were enhanced humans, JD and Mason who were Harlan's employers, followed them too, and they were all intent on finding the site and stealing the astrolabe and the knowledge. This was a very riveting story, kept me reading non-stop, fearing for our team of friends lives which were threatened big time, and the clock was ticking as the day of the planet's alignment was imminent and it seemed that it was a day when all interested factions also aligned at the site. The danger levels were high but I must admit the romance which finally took off was a great positive amidst the darkness, I am very keen on reading the next book and hoping for more romance between a certain witch and a Nephilim.
Dark Star – this is a 3rd book in the series (White Haven Hunters) and they are getting better! Intrigue, crime, a bit of romance, alchemy, history, one Fey, few Nephilim’s, Witch, Shapeshifters, Humans, very old Astrolabe, competing ancient orders … what can possibly go wrong. TJ Green is a master of effortlessly blending the supernatural, history, myths and legends with fast action crime story mixed with a great humour. Once you start reading you can’t put this book down so my advice is to make sure you clear your diary, get yourself a glass of wine (or another drink of your choice) and let the author lead you to this fantastic world she created. All the characters from previous books are back and we get to know them better, there as some new characters and some, unexpected, guest appearance from another series who is turning out to be a totally different person to the one we all knew (Resting Bitch Face). To summarise it all – this is, yet another, amazing book, one worth reading, one that does not disappoint and makes you want to read it again and again. If you happen to like audiobooks some of TJ Green books are now also available on various platforms which makes me happy as I love audiobooks nearly as much as I love reading. If you like this book make sure you read White Haven Witches Series by TJ Green – amazing books.
This latest book is fantastic, just when you think TJ's books couldn't get any better, you find that they truly can!! I loved it from start to finish and to be completely honest, I couldn't put it down. I know some times people put that, but I literally couldn't put it down, except for nature's call lol. It really is one heck of a page turner. From the start it's a gentle incline building up as each chapter goes by. All of it then picks up pace after Oxford and continues to pick the pace up from a walk, to a jog, to a full on sprint once they get back to White Haven and doesn't slow down again until the conclusion of business in France.
It's extremely well thought out and exceptionally well planned, showing a wealth of knowledge and showing just how much research went into this book!!
Now don't get me wrong, all of TJs books show just how much research she goes into for her novels and then plans and plots follow accordingly. It's the mark of a true professional and then beyond that is the natural talent for writing. TJ makes writing look easy, but that's because her writing is easy to read.
So as to whether I would recommend this book, that would be a big fat YES!! Sooooo what are you waiting for.....buy buy buy!!
Book 3 in the White Haven Hunters series by T J Green will not disappoint.
A telephone call from Caldwell, the Grand Adept of The Order of the Midnight Sun, meant that Gabe, Shadow and the other Nephillim brothers would face probably their most dangerous assignment yet. A roller coaster ride of danger, intrigue and coming face to face with super powerful humans in an attempt of keep the Dark Star Astrolabe safe, until the planets were in perfect alignment and the mystery of the Astrolabe could be solved.
A journey from Cornwall to Oxford, London and eventually to France and every step of the way their lives were in danger.
I feel this is the best by far of the “White Haven Hunters” book in the series. It is fast moving, exciting, a little romance and a real page turner.
Another fantastic adventure for Shadow and Gabe in the White Haven Hunters series - these books are wonderful, featuring magic, romance, thrills, plot twists and turns and generally being a superb read.
This begins as just hunting for a missing artifact but becomes much more with death around every corner from the opposing factions who do not want this artifact found - unless they find it of course. Shadow and Gabe really have a fight on their hands this time but even they cannot believe what they have to face once the artifact is found. Who is really their friend - or foe? Will they win out in time to save White Haven and possibly the world - please buy the book and find out for yourselves - you won't regret it.
This is intense and dramatic, with great character interaction and thrilling paranormal adventure ranging through Cornwall, London, Oxford and Aquitaine. The Dark Star, the MacGuffin of the plot, is a medieval astrolabe that points the way to hidden knowledge, and let's just say a lot of people are after it, most of them ruthless to a degree. By the end there is a pretty high body count, and all for not very much: just scraps of flawed antique information. Exciting, but somewhat futile. Perhaps adventure is ever thus.
For me, Estelle is the standout character. Aloof and intriguing, she ends up defeating the monster (why yes, of course there is a monster) alone and magnificently.

Dark Star is the 3rd book in this series of books. I was so looking forward to its release and it certainly didn't disappoint. I love the characters and the historic mythology as well as the links to the White Haven witches, the initial series of books by T J Green that I had read. The story contains adventure, comedy, romance, mystery and passion. What more could you want? I couldn't put it down once I started reading it and was totally swept along with their adventures. T J Green is a brilliant author and I look forward to our next adventure. ☺️
This is a brilliant read. Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start. Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believable. Great suspense and found myself second guessing every thought I had continuously. Can't wait to read what the author brings out next. Recommend reading.
I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.
I've read all the White Haven Hunters and Witches books by TJ Green. They were all great. She has created characters that feel real and individual. Places that come alive. I can't wait to read the next book. Did you hear that TJ? I know you need a life but I need more books, please! Highly recommend the White Haven Hunters series and the White Haven Witches series.
After reading all of the White Haven witches books, I had to read this series, as well as I was just too curious about what the hunters were up to and what kind of occult objects they would encounter! These books have not disappointed me yet! I love that these books are not predictable, none of Green’s books are! It keeps me engaged as a reader, always eager for the next one!
There isn't anything to dislike about the book or the series. It is a breathtaking, exciting, thrilling tale that I urge you to take. You won't be disappointed, for those that can suspend disbelief, expand their imagination and can take this amazing journey with those of us caught up in this amazing story. I highly recommend this book and series.
*****This is a good one. This involves an astrolabe that was made in the thirteenth century, a cult known as Black Cronos and much mayhem. It starts in London moves to Cambridge on to Cornwall from there it goes to caves in Bordeaux, France and ends with a bang and smiles. I received this as an ARC and truly enjoyed it.
Dark magic is afoot! The Nephilim team are hired on to protect some alchemists who just might be in over their heads! Take super human beings, fallen angels and fae and you have a massive battle in the making! Add some off the chart crazy alchemists and the battle grows to epic proportions! Great read from start to finish!
T.j. Green never fails with her books and The Dark Star is no different! The hunters are on a hunt for The Order of the Midnight Sun. The hunt takes them from Cornwall to London, then to the South of France. They face the Black Cronos all the way way until the end.both th Midnight Sun and Black Cronos are after Special wasteland That is to find a centuries old lab. This is un-putdownable.

This book is one of the best in the series yet. It had my attention from the start& built in intensity ending with me staying up late to finish it. You get to see a new side to an established character everyone lives to hate that is surprising . Thoroughly enjoyed this 3rd book in the series & look forward to a 4th.
Wow Wow Wow, I love the Adventures of the Nephilim and Shadow, and this was no disappointment, from the first page the story, fast paced and full of adventure. I love the attraction between Gabe and Shadow and where its going, and I can't wait to see more of Estelle and Barak. The White Haven Hunters books just keep getting better and better.
Book 3 in The White haven Series. Fast paced book with lots of action. Great characters Shadow, the fae hunter and Gabe and the rest of his Nephilim brothers. that live in the 13th century. Adventure, Comedy,Romance, Mystery and Magic this book has it all so it would probably suit a wide group of readers. I enjoyed it you will too ,definitely a must read.
Another great book in the series !! TJ Green writes relationships so well you feel like all the characters are a group of friends and you are cheering them on. Lots of action , romance, magic, mysterious guilds and a more intriguing JD. Shadow and Gabe romance gets hotter and other possible couples are forming . Nobody knows what JD is up to , can't wait for the next book in the series.
What is the Dark Star and why does everyone want it? Find out in this new volume in the White Haven universe, this time with a focus on the Nephalim and Shadow. This adventure expands on characters that were not central in the previous books. Get to know them better and find out why the information coded in the Dark Star is so dangerous!
These books keep me book front front to back and always have me desperate for the next instalment. They have twists and turns, budding romances and more. If you haven't read from this author before you need to start now she is amazing and you will b missing out if you dont.
I am a fan of the Whitehaven Witches books. I have read them all. Now I can't stop reading the Whitehaven Hunter books. I especially love the character shadow she comes across very funny in some parts of the book.
OmG I love these books. Have to slow down my reading so that I can savour each chapter, and that's not an easy feat I can tell you! If you're a fan of the Witches of Whitehaven then these books are an absolute must for you.
Absolutely love the spin off series of "White Haven Witches" following their new friends the fey and Nephillum! The stories are always something new. No repetativness and always include mythology and legend. Always left not being able to wait for the next.
Blown away by Dark Star!! Another amazing addition to the series. Full of twists, turns, action and romance. The journey the characters are taking is brilliant and delving into who they've been just leaves you wanting to know more!! Well done TJ!! x
This is book 3 in the White Haven Hunters series and the best yet! The story is fast paced and well written. The storyline references events from the earlier books, so if new to the series, would recommend reading those first. But all are well worth reading.
Wild Job! Go on a wild adventure with Gabe, Shadow and the rest of the team, throw in a witch, an immortal, some bad guys and you have an interesting, crazy adventure that is easy to read and very unpredictable.
Yet another, fantastic book in the Whitehaven Hunter series from TJ Green. Definitely worth reading, you won't regret it, but don't expect to be able to put it down once you start. I love this author and this is one of her best, with a plot that twists and turns keeping you hooked to the end.
