My Scary Fairy Godmother
'Everyone should have a fairy godmother - if ever a girl needed one it was me.' When Isabella's mum becomes ill, Isabella has to go and live and with her scary but glamorous cousin, Maxine. Maxine takes one look at mousy little Isabella and knows exactly what she needs - a complete makeover. At first, Maxine seems like one scary fairy godmother to Isabella, but as Izzy takes on the new identity Maxine has forged for her, she finds she is beginning to enjoy it...a little too much. Even Maxine isn't prepared for the monstrous results of her makeover!

When she first left school she worked in a bank, but soon realised that this was not for her; so she decided to go back to school and then went on to college, where she trained to be a teacher. She later taught in a Junior school in Leicester.
Rose has two grown-up daughters. While her children were small, Rose developed her interest in children's books through reviewing, bookselling, storytelling and giving talks to parents and teachers.
The Impey family have a dog called Holly, which has also become a star. In 1988 Rose was short-listed for the Smarties Children's Book Prize for 'Desperate for a Dog'. Most of her stories are based on her own experiences either as a teacher or a parent. As a family they like jokes, and this often provides Rose with the ideas for her books.
She spends a lot of time visiting schools to read her work. Her books are widely published worldwide, including the United States, Australia, France, Denmark, Germany and Spain. Rose enjoys eating, talking, swimming and reading, although not necessarily in that order!

One of my favourite books when I was 9 years old ♥

It was a good book with a lot of potential at first, around page 70 it started to flop big time and by page 86 it started to become too predictable. I got bored and I had to leave it at page 102, I know it's only 98 pages to go before this book ends but it's really not worth it to me, I can probably guess everything that's going to happen from here on in and if I discover I am right about it, I'd be angry about the time wasted on this book more than I already am!

Defo a bit young for me now but this is serious nostalgia. As a kid this was an absolute fave so ofc it NEEDS five stars.

This book is interesting and weird. It is very touching(the mother and daughter) bit.
