I really enjoyed this book and thought that it had lots of helpful information. I found Harris' tone to be both friendly and informative, and I appreciated that it was not judgmental or pretentious. Harris offers many different solutions to gardeners' problems and describes which ones are more money conscious, time friendly, environmentally friendly, etc., all while focusing on healthy, ecological gardening techniques. It was an interesting book to read through, and an even better one to keep on the shelf in order to return to it when needed. Some of the information was a bit outdated, what with the book being first published in the 90s. That being said, much of the content still stands, and the language is very accessible.
All in all, I would recommend this book as a starting point for those looking to be more ecological in their gardening practices.
It's a great book filled with lots of tips, specially if you have a garden/backyard. It can be a little overwhealming if you're a beginner, but great to go back to when you get a little more experience.
