Fated Mates #6

Caged Moon

Rate this book
Can two souls trapped in separate cages ever find each other?

Twenty-six years have passed since the link between heaven and earth was severed and all hell broke loose. The fighting raged until the human magic users took over the cities, driving most of the preternaturals into hiding.

This is the world Syndey Burgess has grown up in, locked inside her father’s compound. As the daughter of a human mother and a vampire king, she has all the weaknesses of a vampire but none of their strengths. Anthony keeps her on a tight leash, ever vigilant against the constant imagined threats to her safety. But all she wants is to break free and start a real life.

Noah Riley has lived in captivity for the past twenty years, so long he barely knows how to be a werewolf anymore. Even with a photographic memory, most of his past before the facility feels fuzzy at best. His strongest memories are of the little girl he protected during his childhood: Sydney. When he reaches his full power on his twenty-eighth birth moon, he’ll have a chance to break free to find her and finally reunite with his family.

But vampires and werewolves are mortal enemies. Even if Sydney is Noah’s true mate, the vampire king would kill him before he ever let a filthy werewolf near her, especially one of questionable sanity.

How can this already be the last story of The Fated Mates? This series needs more stories! Having the ARC’s of all of them was both a blessing and a curse in one.
Being able to read them all without having to wait was a blessing, but it also means i’ve reached the end too soon….and i’m not ready to say goodbye!

This is the kids story,Sydney and Noah’s.
Fated to be mates from birth, but torn apart by prejudice and life.
His father didn’t want a werewolf mating with a vampire’s kid.
Even though he himself is mated to a demon….
Her father would’ve liked to see her gain strenght from a werewolf, though…because she was a weakling, born from a vampire and a human.
But mating….thát was another story!

But none of their ideas mattered because Noah was taken when he was only 7….and even though his pack searched everywhere,he was never found.
And Lyndsey “lived” her life in confinement for most of her 27 years, closely guarded by her father.
Until she grew so tired of her nonexistent life, she decided to leave.
The boy responsible for feeding her helped her get away.
But he had his own agenda….
Delivering her to the enemy leads to an unexpected meeting, though.
When Noah sees Sydney in the cell beside his,he knows his plans to escape really can’t fail now. Because leaving his fated mate behind is not an option.
But what will be the price?
For them, their families as well as the pack that helps them?
The pack they start to call theirs?

It was good to see that Noah and Sydney found eachother again after all these years.
And that the connection they had was still as strong as before,if not stronger.
The way they helped eachother adjust to the new situation was beautiful to watch.
Seeing everyone else again was wonderful too. Brought together again to fight the enemy, they were all determined to make sure they were defeated once and for all.

There was a very painful surprise at the end,though…..
One i hope will lead to a new story sometime in the future?
Please,Kitty?? Pretty please???

It cumulated to this! All the matings, all the fates, all turmoil and conflicts, they were leading to this couple, these characters, and this story. I liked that the story didn’t shy away from the uncomfortable, the truths of living in this world, and the fragility, as well as the strength, of the beings living there. I loved that, while no-one is redeemed, that the balance and the bonds between the characters are restored or tolerated. What I really loved was the relationship that existed and developed, on so many levels, between Sydney and Noah. The way their character supported each other when needed, challenged the other when they needed prompting, and didn’t lose themselves in the other, but became stronger with them other by their side. They came into their own, not under their parents’ wings, but on their own, and then faced their pasts to forge their futures. It all cumulated to this, to Noah and Sydney, coming together and making their place in their world <3

We leap forward in time in this the final book of the series. Sydney is an adult and desperate to escape from her controlling father and experience life. She ends up in deep trouble , but she finds Noah who has been missing for 20 years who helps her escape and return to their families …. Bringing some new friends along with them.

I loved this story , it was so awesome these two found each other as adults after being so close as toddlers.

Noah is certainly his fathers son , and some of his behaviors & reactions were very Cole like.

While there is a bit of heartbreak at the end , it was still an amazing end to a great series as all our favorite characters came together to rebuild their little corner of the world.

A really awesome paranormal series with excellent lore and great strong characters. Highly recommend reading the whole series even tho you can read each one as a stand alone. Each book builds on the lore and helps you build the images of this world on your head. Kitty is really clever at doing this thru the story without you even realizing.

I received an Advanced Reader Copy for an honest and voluntary review

This is the final book in the Fated Mates series 🖤 I’m extremely sad this series has come to an end!! This series has been an all around joy to read!! We’ve met some fantastic characters, and were introduced to an amazing story, throughout 6 books 💙 It’s so hard to pick a favorite book, and I love how all of the characters/storylines intertwine!!! I really love the characters of Sydney and Noah ♥️ Two characters that exhibit weaknesses, but then find their way to becoming strong, and man do they!!! I absolutely fell in love with their story 😍
This book takes place 26 years later (Which I love ♥️)…..
Sydney, Anthony’s (The Vampire King….Remember him?? 😉) daughter, is very sheltered by her father. He fears her venturing out, because she is half vampire and half human, but not at her full power. Sydney’s childhood friend, Noah (Cole, the Werewolf Alpha…Remember him also?? 😉), is also not at his full power as a Werewolf. He is considered to have weaknesses. Vampires and Werewolves are supposed to be mortal enemies, but Sydney and Noah share a powerful bond.
For 20 years, Noah has been missing. Tired of her father’s overbearing control, Sydney decides to run. Unfortunately she is captured, reuniting with Noah. He is able to get them away from their captors, and they flee together. What comes next is war…….
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK AS WELL AS THIS WHOLE SERIES 💙

This is the final book of the Fated Mate, I wish there was more. I’m not ready to leave this world, I realy enjoyed the PNR. The author sure knows how to captivate her readers. This book as all of them of the series can be read as a standalone but believe me you should read them all. In this book we finally get Noah and Sydney stories. I won’t share details as I believe this series should be read without spoilers

This is the sixth book in the Fated Mates series by Kitty Thomas. However, this book could be read as a stand alone without issue. It takes place twenty six years into the future and features characters that we meet as children in previous books in the series. They are all grown up and the world has changed since we last visited. It almost has a bit of a dystopian feel to it.

Vampires and shifters are hiding from the human magic users. Vampires who once lead all of the supernatural, are now hiding and feeding from the humans who are kicked out of their cities for whatever law that they broke. Shifters have it a little easier, because they can live if the wilderness and hunt for their food as their animals.

Sydney is the daughter of the former vampire king and his human mate. She got the worst of both worlds. She lives off blood, has sensitivity to sunlight, but as fragile as a human. They aren't even sure if she is aging like a human or not. She barely remembers a time before she forced to move with her family into the underground compound. She feels pretty much like prisoner in a gilded cage.

Noah is a werewolf who was born in his fur. That makes him more powerful than a standard shifter. He was captured when he was still really young by some magic users. Shifter blood and hair are used in magic and potions. But since Noah is more powerful than others, he is a real prize to the magic users. They have kept him a in a glass cell for most of his life.

Werewolves and vampires are mortal enemies, though these two played together when they were young because their human mothers were friends. They were separated really young first because of their father's hatred of each other and then because of Noah's capture.

This is a great story of how love can overcome impossible fates and prejudice. Their families also have to come to terms as they both just want what is best for these two lovebirds. We see pretty much all the characters from the previous books, so series lovers have something to look forward to.

*I received this book as a gift in exchange for my honest opinion.

Well well well...I absolutely LOVE that these two got their own story. Throughout this series I've been watching their "relationship" and always wondered what would come of it. Now we know. Even Twenty something years later...

Sydney is the Vampire King's half human/half vampire daughter. That doesn't exactly mean she has all of the vampire strengths. In fact, she doesn't have the strengths of either one of her parents. She's completely vulnerable at night (sleeping like the dead) and vulnerable during the day (a helpless human depending on donors for food). Well this princess is tired of living her life, locked in the dungeon for her safety. So it's time to escape. But little does she know that she's about to be betrayed.

Noah is the son of the Alpha Wolf and equally Alpha demon from a previous book in this series (HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT ONE TOO). Now that the war is in full swing, it isn't safe for the super natural to be out and about. Unfortunately, when Noah was still a pup, he wasn't being careful and was captured by those who used the blood of the super natural to increase their powers. He's been captured for over twenty years!!!! Now that he's about to reach his peek age as a wolf, he's ready to break free from his captors, that is until Sydney becomes a captive herself. How is he going to get both of them out of there?

I loved this one so much!!! Young love that was fated from the beginning finally finding each other and doing what's right. And what their parents were having a problem doing. To me, this one was perfection!

Caged Moon is the 6th and last book in the Fated Mates Series. This is Noah Riley and Syndey Burgess' story.

Sydney has known Noah since she was a child. They used to play together as children. But Noah was taken into captivity now 20 years ago. Sydney has been overprotected by her father Anthony Burgess, he is The Vampire King (Book 2 Claimed). Sydney runs away but gets captured by the same people that took Noah.

Noah has now reached his full power and he escapes from captivity and he takes Sydney with him to freedom. Noah is a werewolf and Sydney is a vampire. But she wasn’t a full vampire because her mother was a human before becoming a demon. Sounds complicated but it’s not. It just makes for a really good book!

Kitty Thomas aka Zoe Winters brings in all the preternaturals in this series. There are witches, sorcerers, vampires, werewolves and a lot of other shapeshifters and such. They all hate each other but then become a family of sorts. I have really enjoyed reading this book and all the others in this series. I am sad that it has come to an end. But you never know, maybe there will be a spinoff and you can bet I will be reading it!

Kitty Thomas wrote this book originally under the name of Zoe Winters when she was trying to separate the genre’s that she writes. Now she is trying to bring the 2 names together.

This story starts 26 years down the road. It is mainly about Noah and Sydney. Noah is the son of the werewolf Alpha Cole and Sydney is the weak and frail daughter of the vampire King Anthony. It is set in the post apocalyptic age that the world has become after the massive battle between angels and supernaturals. Noah had been captured at a young age and held for 20 years as both an experiment and an unwilling blood doner for magic spells. As an aside, I felt so terrible for his parents. They had very literally been through heaven and hell to get him back as a pup, only to have him once again stolen from them. How Noah and Sydney get together again, their journey and the huge adjustments everyone has had to make in the past and will again have to in the future is an integral part of the storyline. Of course there has to be yet one more war to be fought, but it was good to see every fraction come together and work and fight as one. And btw, once again Cain takes over as usual. Gotta love that guy. It drives Anthony nuts.

The final installment in the Fated Mates series brings us into the future and the future is quite grim. This time the fated mates romance has somewhat of a Romeo and Juliet feel with Noah being Cole's son and Sydney being the daughter of the vampire king. Since werewolves and vampires are mortal enemies, their story has another level of obstacles. In the future, Noah is captured and used as some sort of blood donor/experiment subject, while Sydney is also living a life in captivity for the purposes of protection. Once these two meet again, all bets are off. There's one final battle to be fought in the background to this epic love story. The ending is somewhat bittersweet, though it made me wonder if there's more in this world that's coming in the future. Overall, I really enjoyed the world Ms. Thomas built in her Fated Mates series and I'm sad to be saying goodbye to these characters.

I’m not ashamed to say “I cried a couple of times”. This book was so good I read it in one day. Normally I take my time reading, but this time I NEEDED to know what was going to happen to Noah and Sydney. I just couldn’t put it down. Poor Noah had such a hard life, starting from being born in his fur and all the complications that caused, up to the very end. Poor Sydney was sheltered from the moment of her birth because of how weak she was. How can two such sheltered and inexperienced with life people, end up fated, talk about the blind leading the blind. It all worked out for the best in the end. I was so excited to again get a peek into the lives of our past couples, though this time it was much more bittersweet. Such a good ending to such a great series, this book brought it all together.

OMG I loved Sydney and Noah! It was so fun to finally get their story! It was very weird to see how the future had changed from when they were kids and the group did their spell in the last book. I felt really bad for both kids and how their had to grow up but this made them both very resilient and able to cope more with their circumstances. I loved the reunion between the two childhood friends. When they finally get back to their parents and the other preternaturals it was great! I loved that there was another epic battle! Though I do have to say that the ending although satisfying had one thing that was disappointing happen to a few characters that I thought wasn't really needed and lead to some questions but it is what it is. Other than that one bit I loved everything about this book it was great!

Previously Unleash the Moon, Noah and Sydney's story takes a place in this book. The wolf pup and the vampire princess find themselves living in two separate hells but are brought together again by fate. Noah's story is just tragic and then they just kept facing hardships. The death in this one made me depressed even after the book was over but it's still a really good story. I, too was hoping Sydney would get some rockin healing power to save the downed witch. Especially as they had been absent from the stories since Hunted. Sad to say goodbye to these characters but this is a great series. Highly recommended!

I really like that the series was ended in this way. I loved how you get to see how things have progressed since the last book, with enough years in between to make a big difference. I also really loved that the only 2 kids that are from previous books end up getting their own story!

The way things have changed and where things in the book start is not what you completely expect. If I hadn't read the series I would've thought this was a complete spin off from the original. But it worked for where the book needed to go. There is a sad part that I won't spoil, but I still feel like I should acknowledge. Other then that I'd say it was a pretty perfect ending to the series!

This is the final book in the Fated Mates series and I’m so sad to see it end!! I love the paranormal, and Kitty did such a fabulous job on this series that it is a must read. Characters connect and run throughout, though all can be read as stand alones. I’m going to rave to you about my love of Kitty Thomas and her work, and this series, but I’m not going to tell you the rundown of the book. I feel you should find that all out on your own. You appreciate it so much more that way! And trust me, you’ll love this!

1st reading. 20+ years in the future since the previous book. The world is very different and preternaturals are kept in cages by magic users for their blood. Noah, Cole and Jane's pup, has been a captive for 20 years since he was 7yo. Sydney, Anthony and Charles's hybrid daughter is kidnapped.
Good, a bit frustrating that the series ends here and we don't get to witness Noah's growth and healing, but that's not what these books are about.
