LEO:

Nobody ever plans to win the lottery. But when I land the biggest jackpot in history, I know exactly where my money’s going: a private investigator to track down my biological parents and find out where I came from.

Even before Silas agrees to take my case, I know I’m in trouble. The man is smoking hot and coolly capable—my two greatest weaknesses. He’s also as determined to crack the case as I am, and before I know it, I’m falling. Hard.

One clue about my life leads to another, but the closer we get to the truth, the more complicated the investigation—and our relationship—becomes. When you dig into the past, sometimes the past digs into you, and I don’t know if Silas and I can survive the fallout.

SILAS:

From the moment I meet Leo, I can’t figure this client out. He’s filthy rich but doesn’t act like it. He’s smart but doesn’t flaunt it. He’s sexy but doesn’t seem to realize it. I take the job anyway because every PI has bills to pay.

Leo insists on joining me on the cross-country investigation—all expenses paid. He’s reliable, feels more like a partner than a client, and I respect him. In fact, I want him.

But Leo has secrets he refuses to share. The private investigator in me can’t resist, and soon I discover more about his past than I bargained for. I stumbled upon his deepest secret, and all I want is for him to trust me with it.

This is the first book in the Lottery Winners series. It can be read as a standalone with no cliffhanger.

Another excellent Jason Collins book.
What a great way to start this series, Leo and his friends won the lottery and decided to keep it quiet. So, Leo instead of buying a flashing new car, decided to hire a private investigator to search for his biological parents.
Lucas is the private investigator that joins Leo in a journey to New Orleans and onto each other hearts

I received an arc in exchange for an honest review

Three friends went into a 7-Eleven! Nice story. Leo and his two friends wind the lottory. Leo's dream was to find his birth Mother. He felt compelled to find his origins even at the risk of affending Alex and Jo his adoptive parents. He hires Silas, an ex cop PI to help him on his quest. Silas, is curious about the origin of Leo's wealth, but since he's obviously a nice guy, he shelves his curiosity. As the two men pursue the quest, they learn a lot about each other and find they can be friends. Are either of them ready for more? I like how the story was balanced with the mystery of finding birth Mom and their budding friendship/romance. The entire cast of friends and family were drawn enough to interest, intrigue and infuriate. Excellent flow. Great development and growth. Does Silas find Leo's Mom? What to Alex and Jo say? Well done! I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review. Excellent cover art!

This was tough, because I always want to support the tiny number of gay male authors publishing in the MM romance space, but when the product is a total skunker, I can't just give it a peen pass.
I've read, and tried, quite a lot of works from this author, and I feel as though there are a lot of really great ideas there, however the execution just consistently fails to deliver. I don't know if this is just the sort of thing that needs a quality editor to steer the ship to port, or if there's a fundamental failure that can't be overcome.
This, and other works, end up being all tell and no show; grammatically challenged prose that often loses track of subject and predicate in pursuit of unnecessary, quippy qualifiers; and awkward, choppy, stilted dialog that generally just reads like an adolescent trying to speak the way they imagine an adult would.
Reading this hurt almost as much as having to formulate this review.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the first book in the new series, Lottery Winners. In this book, Leo and his two best friends have recently won the lottery and haven't told anyone. They only thing they did was quit their jobs. They have been trying to keep things secret as long as they can. Leo is adopted and decides he wants to find his birth parents, so he hires Silas, a private detective. Leo wants to accompany Silas on the search, and Silas reluctantly agrees. They set of on a search and soon Silas wonders how Leo can afford the expensive trip. I really enjoyed this book. I thought Leo was adorable and he really cared about Silas. Silas came across as grumpy, but he had a soft spot. I think they were great together and i think they both never thought they would fall in love. I can't wait to read more of this series.

SILAS HELPS LEO FIND HIS FAMILY

I received this book for free and am giving my honest and voluntary review.

Leo and his two friends have won the biggest lottery in the nation. They want to keep it under wraps. They have decided to live their deepest desires. Leo’s is to find his biological parents since he found out he was adopted. He hires Silas, a private investigator to find his mother. Their journey is fraught with desire, a willingness to break a few laws, and a little flirtation. I was appalled at the attitude and greed of the cousins and glad to see more than one HEA.

This was a fresh and unique story! Great start to this series! We have our lottery winning Leo who is now hiring Silas to help him locate his birth parents. Leo is able and willing to pay a bit more with the stipulation he gets to go along with Silas on the search! I really enjoyed that there was as much journey and discovery as their was romance! It is a well balanced plot. These two have an instant chemistry and I enjoyed all the flirting! I received an ARC of this book and I recommend you take this adventure with them to see how their love unfolds and all of Leo's secrets that are found!

I always enjoy Jason Collins's stories, a lovely mix of attraction, romance, angst, and happy ever after. The story line was a great situation, Leo searching for his birth mother, and Silas, the private eye he's hired, is sexy as heck. These two jumped in quickly, they barely registered an attraction and they were kissing. A nice story, a teensy bit of angst but mostly a very enjoyable and cozy tale.

I liked the both the intrigue and the characters in this book. Leo is determined to find his biological parents and soon embarks on the journey with the equally determined - and very hot - Silas. The two MCs are drawn to one another and this, combined with the the investigation storyline, kept me engaged until the end. A good balance of steam, humour, intrigue, and sweetness!

The blurb says it all just know that the plot had substance, suspense, angst, humour and family and found family. It was easy to fall in love with Silas and Leo, definitely had chemistry and sone hot steamy scenes. Another keeper by Jason.

I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book for my honest opinions of which I’m under no obligation to do so. I absolutely recommend this story.

Leo is intent on finding his roots after he wins the lottery and hires PI Silas to help him. This leads both men on a road trip to find family ... and love. There is heart and heat and some angst which I expect when I read anything from Jason Collins and I enjoy each new scenario and this series should prove to be very entertaining. ***voluntary review of an ARC***

This newest series by Jason Collins is off to a terrific start. Leo's winnings have him seeking out his hidden past and the first step is to hire Silas to help. Silas comes across as severe at first, but he can't help but falling as they spend so much time together. There is a bit of intrigue, family found, some disgruntled cousins to navigate, and love found along the way on their adventures.

What a great start to a new series. I like that the story is different, with 3 friends winning a lottery and trying to keep it as secret as possible. Leo was adopted and decided to find his birth mother with part of his winnings by hiring a private detective, Silas. It was kind of like a fairy tale but it was fun and romantic and I enjoyed it.

Leo is an incognito mega lottery winner. He is adopted and hires a private investigator, Silas, to help him locate his birth parents. His only requirement is that he be allowed to go along. As Leo and Silas spend time together on the road, they feel a growing attraction. Can they find love as well as Leo's birth parents? This is a feel-good, low-angst read.

Good story

I enjoyed the story about a man looking for his biological parents. Solar is a good character with a great heart. Leo is a likeable character. Even winning g the lottery didn't change him. The cousins treatment towards Leo was too much and felt like it was force. Like it didn't belong in the story.

Bought the wrong book again.

The book started out with a good premise of an adopted man looking for his bio parents. As you read on, it's like reading a straight love story. From the straight love stories that I've read, it's alk about sex and NO conversations. Gets to be sad that authors have to base gay love stories on straight ones.

Leo and his friends won the lottery but are trying to keep it secret to not ruin their lives. Leo pays a private investigator, Silas, to locate his birth mother. Birth men are attracted to one another but fumble through without really talking.

Leo is searching for his birth mother. Hits the lottery & now has the time & money to hire Silas, a private detective & find her. Excellent chemistry between the 2 MCs. Some angst, great sex, good storyline. I was offered an ARC for an honest opinion.

Basic “Feel Good” Romance

An interesting approach to a geek-meets-hunk storyline. Decent plot, which relies primarily on “withholding information” to create tension between MCs. Reasonable character development for the length of the story and a positive ending, as expected.

Enjoyable Read

I really enjoyed reading this book and following the development of the love between Leo and Silas as Leo searched for his birth parents. The happy ending was just the cherry on top.

Drama, drama, drama! It was full of family dramas and after the problem solved, (thankfully) the story focusing more to the relationship between Leo and Silas and I loved that.
