Gaia is perishing. Methodically poisoned, she sounds the alarm and activates the StarSeed Quest to save planet Earth from the Wizard of Bondage, who is determined to hijack humanity’s existence using psychic warfare.
Roma, a Custodian of the Galaxy, is imprisoned on a remote island by dark forces loyal to the Wizard. She telepathically communicates with Jo to guide her perilous mission on a school trip to the Canary Islands. While Jo and her friends learn the truth about the Ancient Galactic Wars, they are targeted by shapeshifting assassins and lured to a compound where Darkness reigns.
Emotions, Reality, and Timelines collide as Jo is thrust into the center of an epic cosmic reboot. Will the Blade of Truth devour her Soul? Will the balance between light and dark finally shift?

I really enjoyed this second book in author Lali A Love’s young adult sci-fi fantasy series. Roma has been captured by the Draco Lizzies, evil beings who want to enslave Gaia and drain its life source. She is able to communicate telepathically with Jo, and will need to help her try to find a lost magical artifact—the Blade of Truth while her class is on a school field trip to the Canary Islands. I really enjoy the characters in this book and the positivity of the writing. All of the characters in Jo’s Ascending Angel Academy high school are struggling with different issues that teens will relate to, and they are written diversely. Daphne is an assault survivor who struggles with issues of body image and weight. Flynn has had issues with addiction in the past but I really liked the therapy scenes he had especially. Theo is transgender and has struggled with self-harm. All of these issues are handled in a positive way. No one likes their new teacher, Miss Rolland, who is one of the chaperones on the trip to the Canary Islands. I loved the great descriptions as Jo and Roma work together to find the missing Blade, and also rescue a classmate who has gone missing. This was a terrific book I highly recommend for YA lovers! 5/5 stars.
It’s a relief and a thrill to be back with Jo and the gang. In book two of the stellar Ascending Angel Academy series, the stakes are sky-high. The story sparkles with crystalline clarity as our main character, Jo, continues her celestial education.
With A WRINKLE IN TIME and THE MATRIX vibes, BLADE OF TRUTH will feed your mind, body, and soul. There is a treasure trove of brilliance here, a wealth of information nestled inside a hugely entertaining tale; it’s truly a story to savor. A cosmic tapestry of science, spirituality, history, and myth weaves the next level of this epic saga. Lali A. Love expands the world and intensifies the battles, gripping the reader with intrigue and action from the very first page.
We reunite with old friends and meet many new ones in Jo’s beautiful found family. The representation is superb; there is a reflection for every reality. The author champions a revolution in inclusion across the full spectrum of humanity. Her characters are not only diverse; they are accepted, and this acceptance paves the way to normalization.
Throughout the course of the novel, Jo and her friends must overcome hardship and conquer trauma to achieve awakening, enlightenment, and empowerment. Love threads together brilliant strands of math, music, art, and universal patterns in a genius and ingenious tale of harmonic oneness and existential unity. Jo undergoes a transformation, and you will, too, throughout this book’s riveting, restorative transcendence.
Galaxies of wisdom await you. What a stunning, powerful message.
In this brilliant second installment of the Ascending Angel Academy series, the journey to enlightenment hastens as the eternal struggle between good and evil intensifies. Readers of young adult urban fantasy will delight in the rich, multidimensional world-building that masterfully intertwines teen angst, struggle, and a higher calling.
The De-Coding of Jo, Blade of Truth, grabbed me from the first page and, as all good series do, left me wanting more. Our benevolent hero, Jo, skillfully balances her sometimes complex friendships while facing a dark multidimensional seize on the Earth. A tall order, but she is far from the quintessential teenager. This book is a pager-turner, but what shines through is what Love does best; inspire, include, and speak truths. You cannot read this book without being energized and optimistic for a better world. Make room on your shelves for this important series.
Blade of Truth (as read from Voracious Readers Only) was an astounding story of enlightenment and self-awareness told through a lens of saving the world. The characters are part of an amazing universe where self-improvement takes on an entirely new meaning and has implications for the whole of humanity. The bonds between the main characters are a thing to strive for, and embody beautiful relationships that encourage healing and development. These are concepts that we should all embrace and strive for. To incorporate this into a matrix of world salvation and fantasy makes it an interesting and intriguing read that challenges the reader to see things differently.
After having read the first book of the De-coding of Jo, I was expecting this tale which fulfilled all my expectations as there is mystery, suspense and adventure, not to mention its captivating characters. In Blade of Truth, Jo and her friends are targeted by assassins and taken to a dark land. Meanwhile, Jo receives some telepathic information to help her and her friends survive and succeed in her task. Author Lali. A. Love is really talented at creating dark fantasy novels. Apart from an engaging and absorbing plot, her descriptions are so vivid that the worlds and reboots described seem quite realistic. This story is action-packed and has many on the edge of my seat scenes. Ideal for teenagers and young adults!
The absolute journey that I was taken on while reading The Blade of Truth had me in awe. Lali Love captures every realm of not only the characters and their daily lives, but the journey, both mental and spiritual, that they are on. And she does it in a way that is just gorgeous flowing prose.
This story picks up where the first book left us off and offers enough insight to be comfortably involved in getting right back into it. Jo and her friends are typical high school kids by day, dealing with the serious situations of family dynamics, friend dynamics, teenage alcoholism, drugs, etc. The other half of the story is the enlightened side that captures the truth of situations, of people, of their vulnerabilities and their emotions and comforts the reader to know that both are working together.
It was a journey that taught me about myself, about what I see in others, and gave me a lot of knowledge of trust in ourselves and our bodies. Again, this was a joy to read and I can't wait to get my hands on what Ms. Love brings forth next!
“The De-Coding of Jo: Blade of Truth '' is part of the series “Ascending Angel Academy '' created by Lali A. Love. This is a science fiction novel full of action, suspense and thrilling scenes. I love fantasy and science fiction; this novel is certainly a fine example of the genre. But it also blends them with metaphysical and spiritual elements. I soon became engaged by the story which is excellently written and thought-provoking. In this original, imaginative and absorbing book, the author has built through powerful and detailed descriptions a chaotic world of war, assassins, and heroines. Readers will find themselves on the edge of their seat from the very beginning and until the last page. Apart from the compelling narrative, the story also aspires at creating consciousness and being a source of inspiration. It includes some explanations of terms and topics that were unknown to me. I really liked this story and I highly recommend it.
This is Book 2 of the Ascending Angel Academy and follows on directly from book 1 - Hall of Ignorance.
After defeating the Lord of Darkness in book 1, Jo continues her ascension through the academy and discovers that a new threat is present on Earth that she and her friends must tackle. With this new mission, Jo must follow information that is communicated telepathically to find and free Roma - a custodian of the galaxy who has been kidnapped and tortured - and rid the Earth of the evil wizard and his shapeshifter army.
I think that I enjoyed this book more than the first as we really got to explore the characters in more depth - meeting a few new ones too who really gelled into the group. We had definitely moved on from the troubled teens and excessive drug use, which pleased me, and we now see more of how the teaching and support that Jo's sharing, has motivated the betterment of each of them.
I really like this part of the story as it shows a reality of the World we live in and that how we treat each other and the Earth, really can make a huge difference to the current issues.
As with book 1, we see an amazing fusion of the current, spiritual and fantasy genres brought together to make for an epic read.
I'm excited to see what Jo's next mission will entail and how the characters will further develop.
N.B. I would definitely recommend reading this as a full series
The De-Coding of Jo: Blade of Truth written by Lali Love is part of the promising Ascending Angel Academy Series. Being a middle length book, it was as promising as good. I really liked the story and how the plot was developed from the very beginning. Just by looking at the cover I got the idea that this would be a mysterious read, and although I was right it was much more than that. I liked how characters were portrayed and completely developed; Jo and the rest of the characters were quite believable. I will keep on reading more books in the series because it was a great read. I totally recommend reading it.
“The De-Coding of Joe: Blades of Truth '' is the second book of the series Ascending Angel Academy by author Lali A. Love.
The book tells the story of a young character called Gaia. She is rather different from real teenagers because - in the book- she fights and struggles against the most unpredictable enemies to stand for the existence of humanity. Her fight is not a joke and not all teens can face something as serious as existence.
I witnessed teenagers being absorbed by this reader. It is my belief that the author knows how to entertain them. As an adult, I liked the story, too, and this is why I recommend it.
Wrapped in a young adult/teen story, A Blade of Truth is a guide for the evolution to one's higher self. It is a story that transports the reader to higher consciousness, tapping into energy that lights the path towards goodness. A Blade of Truth is an examination of the existence of good and evil in the created world where humankind continually battles the forces that drag it down to lower vibrations.
Within the narrative, ordinary struggles in the lives of the characters arise. Delving into the heart and mind of the adolescent psyche, Ms. Love examines everyday struggles with sensitivity and compassion. The characters battle substance abuse/addiction, body image, and self-esteem. Ms. Love addresses each of these with seamless sensitivity as each figure grapples with their unique personal issues. As each character is developed, Ms. Love reveals their individual paths and draws the reader into their lives, leading us to care deeply about them and root for them along their journey of self-discovery. Having taught high school for 30 years, I believe that Lali Love captures the essence of the adolescent experience—self-doubt, the need to connect with others amidst feelings of isolation, and the fear of rejection.
All this depth is encased within an action-packed adventure where the heroine learns of the power she holds within. She is lead by love and the light, which comes from a higher source. Ms. Love presents visions of a utopian world of beauty and peace, where love and acceptance are unconditional. She reaches beyond our cultural and historical norms embracing diversity with no division or hatred.
There are so many profound messages throughout the story. Still, one strikes me the most—the importance of aligning with our inner truth, not letting outside forces, opinions, or energies get in the way of self-love, our journey, and our life purpose. If we are true to ourselves, the world would be a better place.
As the title says with its punch line, the decoding of Jo, this YA fantasy cum science fiction novel is built around the lead character Jo and her high school friends.
She is a powerful figure, though a teenager. She has the power of telepathy and teleportation and so on. Mother earth needs to be saved by someone strong enough. Jo and her high-school teenage friends take the challenge. Jo not only gets on an adventurous journey of saving the earth but first she has to save Roma, a powerful person who is also a Custodian of the Galaxy. Roma is captured by the dark forces.
It is obvious that in most of the fantasy thriller, there is always fight between dark and light. So does in this novel. It is a kind of different fantasy sci-fi thriller that pulls the readers since the first page. Also, this is about teenage characters, it has a good amount of high-school drama, the author discussed a few concepts to make it more credible. Any fantasy novel set in the universe, especially galaxy, is incomplete until has magical elements like shapeshifting, telepathy, time travel and so on.
Narration is not only brilliant but also piques readers for knowing the fate of Jo and other characters. Though the novel is a part of series, but it can also be read as a standalone novel. The novel is inspiring by portraying the difficult situations of Jo and her friends. But it is commendable to see them outpace the adverse situations. The group not only engaged in saving mother but also seeks true vibes of freedom and independence. The author must have done a great job in research and I think vivid imagination is her inherent capacity.
Overall, a riveting novel with so much action, drama, adventure, and fun. In its genre, this is a great novel and anyone can pick it up. But it is a treat for discerning YA readers.
From the moment I began to read the first page till the very last, I was immersed in their world. It was so nice to be back with Jo and the gang and meeting new and exciting characters. The Blade of Truth by Author Lali A. Love is the sequel to the first book in the Ascending Angel Academy, The De-Coding Of Jo. Lali brings you into the storyline with such ease with the unveiling of each character's everyday life to the incredible challenge one must battle both mentally and spiritually.
This book is a page-turner, it forces you to recognize and face the inner demons you have to overcome. The way Lali weaves from mystical to what is happening in reality with the battle of humanity at this very moment in time is brilliant. I love how Lali has a full spectrum of diverse characters which each has their own battle to face but has their own unique power to share of healing through love, compassion, forgiveness, and self-acceptance.
Blade of Truth is not only an epic saga of heroism, but it’s also a tapestry of humanity, science, spirituality, history, and a self-help book with a wealth of golden nuggets of knowledge with a powerful message all wrapped up in YA sci-fi/fantasy adventure that will feed you mind, body and soul. I can wait for the next saga and what wisdom Lali. A. Love has to share with us next.
In book 2 of Ascending Angel Academy Series by Lali A. Love, planet Earth needs to be saved. This mission needs to be fulfilled by someone who is powerful enough. Jo and her friends are just high school kids but when they are expected to save the mother Earth, they do their best for the planet.
The responsibility however is not so easy. This gripping story keeps the readers hooked to the story from page one till last page and will left them wanting to read more of Lali's work.
The world building is superb. Author's imagination is vivid. Jo is a great character that had all my attention when I was reading this book. It would even be amazing to have a movie series based on this book. Author has done great job in this YA fiction.
I am really happy to read this book. Author has used good vocabulary in the story and I have added many new words to mine. This is a type of story that readers can enjoy reading and at the same time they will learn many things from this book. A must read YA fiction!!
"The De-Coding of Jo: Blade of Truth" penned by the author Lali A Love is the second installment in the Ascending Angel Academy Series.
Jo is the main character of the story and in this book, we get to read about her struggles and adventures with her friends. The planet Earth is in danger and the survival of the world depends on Jo and her friends. Nisha, Daphne, Zax, and Flynn helped Jo in rescuing her classmates by vanquishing the Lord of Darkness into another dimension. I appreciate the power with which Jo and her friends overcame the struggle between Light and Dark.
It was amazing to read about Jo's discovery of her powers. How she could teleport herself from one location to another, how she can travel through time and space. Story is intriguing and kept me on the edge. Jo is my favorite character from the story. If you love reading fantasy stories with strong female characters then this book would be the right pick for you.
The De-Coding of Jo: Blade of Truth written by Lali Love is part of the promising Ascending Angel Academy Series. This book is about the adventures of high school kids Jo and her friends who were given a difficult responsibility of saving the world. The basement in Jo's high school’s library had a holographic portal with access to a black hole. Because of this, she got to know about the rich history of Ascending Masters and her celestial powers. Jo is the main character of the story. Her favorite subject is Science.
Jo's friends Nisha, Daphne, Zax, and Flynn supports her in her missions. Jo studies in Forest Hill Academy high school. The task given to Jo is not something that could be expected from school kids. But Jo also is not ordinary. She is a determined and responsible kid. Will she be able to save planet Earth?
Among all the powers, to teleport from one location to another is my favorite one. Jo time travelled through the cosmos in this story. In this book, Lali has talked about Quantum Physics as well. Being a science student in my high school days, I could understand the topics well and reading this book was an enjoyable experience for me.
A fantastic continuation! Jo “hears” Roma (telepathically) who is a Guardian and this propels the story forward. There are enemies among us! Find them before they find you! The techno/spiritual speak continues and becomes even more fascinating! It’s a bit hippie, and trippy but that definitely makes it unique and special!
Looking forward to the next one!
Side note. Amazon would not let me review this book. I do know Lali A. Love professionally through our shared love of writing books. I was provided a digital copy and this is an honest review.
This book is so, so nice! I can only recommend to anyone who loves fantasy reading to read this book. “The de-coding of jo: Blade of truth” is such a mesmerizing story where light and darkness are constantly fighting each other and cohabiting at the same time. Jo and her friends seem to be trapped in an endless adventure full of emotions, ups and downs. At the end her soul will be at risk. I personally really enjoyed this novel. The author clearly did an amazing job at creating a parallel universe full of uncertainty’s and magic. I can only recommend it! The pages will flow by in no time :)
Blade of Truth: The De-Coding of Jo is the second book in the Ascending Angel Academy Series by the author Lali A. Love. This is the first novel by Lali that I have read.
Even though I prefer reading series books from Book 1, I was easily able to follow the story from Book 2. Jo and her friends capture the reader's attention in this novel. They are students of high school but the expectations from them are quite big. They are given a huge responsibility to save mother Earth. Even though they are just kids, Jo isn't a kinda person who will step back from this responsibility.
If you are a fan of fantasy novels with strong female protagonists then quickly get your hands on the Blade of Truth book 2. I appreciate the author's choice of name for the main character. Many times I have to struggle pronouncing big names. Cover photo is solid and is attractive. I enjoyed reading this YA fiction. Fellow book lovers should add this to their tbr. They will be totally lost in the vivid fantasy world created by Lali and they will forget the real world around them while reading.
Blade of Truth: The De-Coding of Jo is the second book in the Ascending Angel Academy Series by Lali A. Love. The story and struggles of Jo continue as she makes a place for her found family in her heart and ensures that everyone is safe. Gaia is struggling to survive after being poisoned, and she knows more people are in danger now. Planet Earth needs saving, and they need someone powerful to do it. It seems like Jo and her friends are the perfect solution to this problem, but are they ready for the responsibility?
They are just kids, after all. Jo does not know who she can trust and if she can trust anyone, for that matter. The only thing she knows is that she cannot back down now, not when the future and the survival of the world depend on her. She and her friends will have to face dangers unlike anything before and come out victorious somehow.
Emotions run high in Blade of Truth from the opening scene and Lali A. Love ensures the reader is glued to the story from the beginning. Readers will find the perfect mix of paranormal with Young Adult angst in this epic fantasy. I love it when fantasy authors give their characters simple and easy-to-pronounce names. This makes it much easier for me to connect with the characters and understand their story. Jo is a smart girl, even if she is too young for the responsibilities she has to shoulder.
I loved the narrative and especially how each scene was described. My favorite scenes included Gaia, but of course, Jo stays at the forefront of the story. It is an exciting story, something that is vastly different from typical YA fiction.
What a thrilling read. So much to unpack in this second installment of the series. Stakes are high, action is intense, and themes are deepened. As one other review mentioned, there is a wealth of information nestled into a larger, entertaining tale. It is hard to classify this book into one genre, but I would say anyone who enjoys epic YA reads (for a more mature YA audience) or wants something that is going to connect spiritually or through a lens of self-awareness. A glossary of terms and other supporting information is contained at the back of the book and quite helpful. Looking forward to seeing where the next book takes us!
The Blade of Truth is Book 2 in The Decoding of Jo series. In the first book The De-Coding of Jo: Hall of Ignorance we see the main character, Jo’s transformation and ascension as a Light Being while she defeats the Lord of Darkness. In book 2, Blade of Truth, Jo continues the ascension journey while recovering from a devastating loss. Jo is tasked with the quest of saving Roma, the Custodian of the Galaxy. The challenges Jo and Roma face along with her group of friends form the crux of this YA sci-fi/fantasy adventure. Although the book is a part of a series, it can also be read as a standalone. Lali A. Love is a fantastic writer with influence and wisdom in her words. Through her powerful prose, she manages to show the reader the power of healing through love, acceptance, and self-realization. She created a captivating, mesmerizing world through this story that feels as real as our everyday life. Lali has used a superlative technique of telling this story by combining the spiritual, fantastical, and scientific aspects of writing. I must also point out the exceptional job of diversity and inclusion in the book. The characters are vivid, talented, and from diverse backgrounds. It was heart-warming to see the author include characters from the LGBTQ+ community without stereotyping or side-lining them. As a YA book, this makes for an excellent read specifically for teenagers battling mental health and self-acceptance issues. If I must describe this book in one word, I will say is Entrancing! If you love reading YA sci-fi/fantasy that leaves you with a powerful message, then this book is a MUST read for you!”
The De-Coding of Jo is a daring metaphysical work of fantasy that tests the boundaries of human imagination with continuous surprises.
Josephine, who is called Jo undergoes her first phase of Ascension to prepare her for an epic battle to change the Goddess Gaia’s fate. On a previous quest, Jo has saved her classmates after their minds were enslaved, they became the sleepwalkers. The Lizzies kidnapped and captured humans from all over the world in a mass human trafficking ring and enslaved them into "a third-dimensional matrix of darkness and oppression."
Roma was trying hard to outrun and escape extra-terrestrial entities called Lizzes but they found her on Earth, she needed her Blade, and Jo is destined to recover the blade and save everyone. Summoned by the Lemurian High Council, Jo is tasked with the duty of driving out the dark shadows to protect the sacred Goddess Gaia from extinction. Jo undergoes several changes or DNA upgrades throughout the novel, her awakening is necessary to rescue Roma and the StarSeed Quest. Jo has many challenges to overcome and has to “cross the rainbow bridge of the fourth-dimensional realm.” On this quest she encounters many malevolent entities, surprisingly her history teacher Mrs. Roland is one of them.
The story climaxes when her class coincidently goes on a two-week trip for spring break to the Canary Islands. The lost Blade of Truth is also located in the Canary Islands. After conversing telepathically with Roma, Jo sets out to locate the Blade, rescue the captives and save Roma. It all doesn’t go as planned but the story takes readers on an incredible journey of mysticism.
The story was hard to connect with due to the unfamiliarity with the different chakras, and the astral plane. Love provides a glossary at the end of the book that clarifies the terminology which made it all click into place. The character development was superb and as readers delve deeper into the plot, the growth and maturity are apparent since a few characters have a backstory. The action is slow; scenes develop in real-time detail and the conversations between Jo and Roma suggest that they are mature beyond their years.
I would recommend this book to readers who enjoy mysticism, fantasy, and intrigue.
Gaia is being systematically poisoned to destroy the Earth. The malicious Wizard of Bondage has begun capturing human minds to use their psychic abilities to wage war against Gaia. To combat this attack, Gaia initiates the StarSeed Quest to protect the planet.
Meanwhile, Roma, one of the Custodians of the Galaxy and guardian of the Blade of Truth, has been held prisoner by the Wizard's sinister minions. She telepathically communicates with Jo to deliver her new mission. Her orders are dangerous and will require all the help she can get to finish this task. After travelling to the Canary Islands for a school trip, Jo and her friends discover the details of the Ancient Galactic Wars and what the fallout could mean for humanity. As Jo talks with Roma, the pair form a strong and deeply emotional bond. She is anxious to save Roma and find the Blade of Truth but she is hampered by continuous attacks by shapeshifting assassins. When she places her trust in the wrong people, Jo ends up being lured into the Wizard's compound.
Jo suffered great loss in the battle between the darkness and the light though is unprepared for the heartbreak that is coming. Will Jo manage to defeat her enemies, save Roma and complete her mission or will she lose her soul and light to the epic cosmic battles?
🌟🌟🌟🌟 This is book 2 and it further develops the sci-fi world the story inhabits while fleshing out the main characters' interpersonal relationships. This book again dealt with tough subject matter but did it conscientiously. I was glad to see that the fallout and aftermath of the rape experienced by one of the characters was given more attention in this story. There is an overabundance of information at times with scientific/cosmic terminology that has a tendency to overrun the main plot but I still enjoyed how the story developed. Overall, a thrilling and intriguing addition to the trilogy and I look forward to the final instalment.
TW: Mentions of drug use, rape, eating disorders, violence, suicide
Blade of Truth by Lali A. Love is an entrancing book in the Ascending Angel Academy series. This is the second book. It is a Young Adult teenage novel, but at its core soul it is purely a book with absolute science fiction backdrop. The story of the book is set amidst the galaxies of the universe. There is a lot of promising adventure and readers will come across new jargons pertaining to the universe. As you progress with the novel you will realize its depth that is as great as our universe. Talking about the story and its characters, all is done superbly. Though Jo is the lead character, yet Roma lingers in the backdrop like banter. She is a silent catalytic agent that nudges the plot ahead without much dilemma. It becomes clear in the preface where Roma is abducted by the dark forces called Lizzies. That happens because she was without her power – that is her sword – thus the title is known as Blade of Truth, probably that is the name of her sword.
The novel is about Galactic wars that mostly happen between the Lord of Darkness and Humans of earth. Dark forces like Draconis Lizzies feed on humans. There has been terrific record of these low tier Draconis about indulging in war for their domination in the universe. Galactic Council has activated messages for StarSeeds for one more cosmic mission and that is to save earth from these Lizzies. Jo and her friends are being invited to save the earth from the dark forces? Jo is a popular character who comes from the Angel Academic. She has done cosmic missions earlier also; well this one is going to be new one. Will she succeed in it? Will the new saviors be able to save Roma from her kidnappers? To know all the edges of the story, it is recommended to pick up this exciting novel written with enticing narration.
From the characters’ point of view, the novel is purely Young Adult fiction, but when I got under its skin I now believe that it is a good work of science fiction. Inter galactic, cosmic missions, interstellar traveling, teleportation, and much more – that is enough to convince anyone who is a hardcore sci-fi fan.
Most of the fantasy novels with edges of sci-fi are based on good vs evil. Similarly, this one is also the same. Here special people known as StarSeeds are protecting the space from vile creatures and orders and shadows like Lord of Darkness, Lizzies, and other Draconis. In this novel Lizzies are powerful intergalactic creatures cum shadows…they love feasting on humans. So they attack on earth. The expanse of the story is so great that one will really begin appreciating the vivid imagination of the author for creating such a great expanse of worlds for her readers. The novel is not ordinary, with its characters and climaxes one can feel it is of some high level.
The protagonist is Jo, a student of Angel Academy. She had been on a cosmic mission earlier. She has great celestial powers and also a SeedStar. When the earth was attacked by Lizzies, she gets calling. Well, then, she and her teenage friends embrace for another adventures cosmic mission. But before that they have to rescue Roma who has been kidnapped by dark forces. Will the teenage group conquer over the dark creatures or is it going to be another cul-de-sac? It is a highly readable yet powerful novel with heartwarming and bold young characters.
As someone who devours books (fiction and nonfiction) centered on mystical forces, I loved Lali A. Love’s newest work. This novel comes after The Decoding of Jo, and it is a unique type of sci-fi/fantasy or magical realism. In this book, Jo is enlisted to battle entitles with nefarious intentions for Earth and its citizens. On one level, this book has science fiction overtones because of these bad entities. At the same time, mysticism plays an important role in Love’s universe, as well. As such, depending on one’s perspective, this book could fit into either genre. Because of the overlap with the real world, Love’s work could also be classified as magical realism.
People who enjoy learning about the astral realm, lucid dreaming, and humanity’s role in the larger cosmic context will love this book. Love’s discussion of realms and astral processes also reminds me of New Age instructional books I own. Full confession: I’ve had lucid dreams and believe in astral projection. This type of book is something I enjoy very much because I once tried to see my own Akashic records. I couldn’t make that happen.
In any case, this book is also about young adults and their search for identity and independence. I would also recommend the novel for people who want coming-of-age stories with a mystical focus. In sum, people who enjoy detailed fantasy, magical realism, or mystical fiction will likely enjoy Lali A. Love’s latest work.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Again, masterfully written with such passion and insights, it was not hard to finish it from beginning to end.
Jo is embarking on another journey in the “Hall of Learning”. Evil has other minions of darkness to interfere with the Ascension of Humanity in the form of Draconians or Lizzies. Their evil plan is to enslave the whole humanity in lower 4th dimensional purgatory. Jo and her friends are going to the Canary Islands for a school holiday and rescue. Roma, the custodian of the Galaxy, is held captive on one of the Islands. But is there quest doomed to fail? Is this mission going to be a failure? When tragedy happens again, will Jo be lost in time?
It is a hard reality we live in; it addresses human trafficking and other inhumane actions that are happening around the world. It speaks about Atlantis the masculine side and Lemuria the feminine side, which has always been assaulted on every level. It also talks about the Arcturian guardians and starseeds with their unique journey. This story is reaching through time and dimensions.
The story encodes light language, DNA activations, sacred blueprints, and quantum entanglement, it is such a beautiful symphony. This is one of kind story that I can read and re-read again. It has great internal and spiritual lessons which we can set our own journey.
I cannot wait for the next journey of Jo and her friends. This is a keeper.
