Eloise was going on a much-needed getaway to meet Rebecca, a cousins she'd been messaging with for months now and was happy to find she got to meet her sister Penny as well. When one of the members of the band Penny's in was killed, Eloise knew she'd be sleuthing away from home whether she liked it or not.
There weren't a whole lot of suspects, but I wasn't sure whodunit. There was a really good twist and an exciting showdown. Eloise got a fun little surprise at the end. I liked her two cousins and hope they come visit Williamsbridge soon! I'm ready to read the next book whenever it comes out.
I love this series!!!! It started Eloise is going to visit her cousins she never met Rebecca and Penny. She gets invited to "The Purple Finch Folk Festival" to see Penny's band play the next day. But things start to fall apart when the band is supposed to play in the festival, someone is missing and they need to find her. A couple of band members are suspects, there is more what is happening and Eloise and her cousins have to find out what is going on and why!!!! Because the police force is not big, and Eloise is close around to all involved. Check out this book!!! I thought I had it figured out, haha not by a long shot. You won't be disappointed!!!!!
The setting for the fifth book moves from Vermont to Maine
El and her mother and Mathew are off for a week. El takes her week to go to Maine to meet her cousin for the first time. When she gets to the inn on a Maine island they are staying at she meets her cousin Rebecca who is also a journalist and finds out that Rebecca’s sister Penney, who is in a band, has come also. They hit it off and are having a great time. Penney’s band is performing in a music festival on the beach . Then the murder mystery kicks in. A fun read.
Death does not take a vacation as Eloise will soon find out.
Spending time with her cousin was supposed to be relaxing taking the rays and sand on a small island during a music festival.
When a festival band member is found dead the girls will be in the middle of the things as they will hunt down the killer as Eloise will be missing Matthew who is back at the inn.
Great characters, an interesting storyline, and a well plotted mystery in this latest addition to this series continue the high bar this author sets for her work.
Ellie is off to finally meet her cousin and vacation on a beautiful island. The scenery is spectacular and there's plenty to do. But when a murder occurs, Ellie is drawn in and can't relax until the mystery of who ended a life is solved.
Eloise arrives on an island to spend ten days with her new found cousin Rebecca. The two cousins enjoy the beach and lots of good food. But on the night of a concert, the younger cousin's band is unable to perform. A love triangle two members of her band are involved in the death of a member. Will Eloise and her cousins find the true killer?
Another awesome cozy mystery. El meets her cousins on a vacation in Maine and solves Rebecca’s murder. I like this series but what I really like is the stories that surround the inn in Vermont.
I did not find this book as interesting as the first 4 books of this series. Although still a decent read. I don't think the setting was quite as good and I missed the characters of Pumpkin Hill. Thus the 4 stars vs. 5.
Really enjoyed reading this book & the series. The setting is beautiful, the characters are great & the writing is fantastic. I look forward to reading more.
Eloise is off to meet family and get to know them things go crazy. She tries to help out her new found cousins and get them straight so they can move on to more fun.
This series is a great series and very well written. The characters are always fun and entertaining.
Nice to see Eloise get to meet her cousins. The murderer was easy to figure out. I would like to see the story expanded to a reunion with Eloise's cousin's family.
