There were three things I knew for
1.That my parents had been having an off day when they decided to call their only daughter Atticus.
2. That pasta is life.
3. That I hate Parker Daniels with a passion I hadn’t known was possible. After bumping into him at a wrap party, he won’t leave me alone.

He says he wants to ‘atone’.

Yeah, right.

Really, he wants to ‘seduce’ and, believe me, he has chosen the wrong girl.

Parker
There were three things I knew for
1. That my dog Radley needs to stop shedding on the couch.
2. That pasta is life.
3. That I love Atticus Allman with all of my being.

Bumping into Atticus Allman at the wrap party set my world to rights.

I need to make her see the truth. That the lies she’s held onto all these years are just that - lies.

I want to make her mine.

Let the fun begin.

Model (mis)Behavior is K. Lowrie’s first contemporary romance. This second chance romance was cute, sweet, thoroughly enjoyable. Told from dual first perspective this book follows Atticus and Parker when they meet after six years. The two were high school sweethearts and parted on bad terms due to a misunderstanding.

I really liked Atticus and Parker’s characters. Atti is smart, stubborn, beautiful, and an independent history student but she lacks self-esteem. Parker is an easy-going, handsome, and successful, famous model. Atticus and Parker are endgame. They were each other's firsts and they haven’t been able to move on.

I really enjoyed this story. It was a quick, fast-paced read. In the beginning, I couldn’t feel the chemistry between Parker and Atticus, but as the story progressed, I could see how these two were it for each other. I really enjoyed getting to know them and the slightly predictable plot twist.

This was a cute, heartwarming second chance romance, but I’m really looking forward to Jacks and Scar’s story. I have a feeling I’m going to enjoy their journey to a HEA after the little sneak peek in the epilogue of Model (mis)Behavior.

I love a good second chance romance and Model (mis)Behaviour totally delivered 👌🏻 This may be Katie’s first contemporary romance novel, but she nailed this genre! This is the first book of the Model Act duet, written in Atticus and Parker’s perspectives.

The story focuses on Atticus and Parker, but there is also something brewing between their best mates Scar and Jackson. Atti and Parker fell in love with one another when they’re teens. They separated due to some misunderstanding and six years later, they ran into each other at a film wrap party.

Atti is smart, beautiful and independent history student. But she could be stubborn and a bit of an overthinker. Parker is an easy-going, handsome and successful model. He could have any girl in the world but all he wanted was to get back with Atti. In his mind, 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐠𝐚𝐦𝐞.

Parker is the ultimate book boyfriend 😍 In order to win Atti back, he is pulling all the big guns. He remembers everything about her after all these years. He says all the right things and he does all the right things. Did I mention he is f*cking dreamy? I swooned over him throughout the entire book 🤤

“𝐀, 𝐲𝐨𝐮’𝐫𝐞 𝐦𝐲 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝. 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧, 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐝𝐢𝐝𝐧’𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰.”

When things are good, they’re 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 good. Yet there’s always this one bitch in the way 🤬 Thank God they have Scar and Jackson who are there to put them straight 🙏🏻

Model (mis)Behaviour is a sweet, heart-warming and enjoyable read for me 🥰 I love the angst, the friendship and the cliffhanger towards the end 🤭 We shall see what Scar and Jackson are up to 😏

Being new to Ms.Lowrie's work I've been so looking forward to picking up her work! As soon as i stumbled across a social media post about this book i want to get into it first! I really liked this story!

Atticus and Parker's journey isn't quite an easy one. I really liked how these two had history and how i wasn't quite sure how things would play out between them. I enjoyed the way both characters had me feeling many things. I just struggled at certain points.

With Model (mis)Behaviour, Ms.Lowrie has created such a good read! I'm looking forward to the next book, Acting Out!

My rating: 2 1/2 stars

What I liked: I liked the friendship between Parker(H) and his roommate Jackson. I also liked Atticus/Atti(h) and Scarlett friendship. Parker willing to give up modeling help me liked his character better and how he knew she was it for him.

What I didn’t like: It really annoyed me how Parker was mad at Atti for not hearing him out when he lied by omission. He kept the shoot with ow (the same ow who in the past was caught with her sitting on his lap kissing his neck) from her on purpose and gets mad that she won’t hear him out. Hello he lied!!! He should of been groveling for forgiveness especially after he stays at the bar and get drunk when the same ow he got caught with. Which again he is photographed leaving the bar in the early hours with ow in his arms and she is kissing his hand (we are never told if he did anything else while drunk with ow and he can’t remember) So when Atti apologizes I was pissed. Also, I would like to know if he ever went to the press about him and ow never had anything going on…..I looked but didn’t see if that happened or not.

Major Spoilers/ Details/Triggers: Second chance. H and h dated in school which she made him wait a year before she agree to go out on a date. While dating h goes to see H and catches him on the couch with ow on his lap and her kissing his neck. h runs away and refuses to hear him out. 6 years later, h’s best friend invited her to go to her wrap party. The H also is invited to go the wrap party with his best friend. H sees h and right away knows he wants the h back (she was the one that got away). Both of the H and h’s best friend decide to push them together to talk about what happened in the past. They finally talk and start back up the relationship. H is a model and he does a shoot with the same ow from past which he doesn’t tell the h about (even when his best friend tells him that he should). h decides to show up and bring him lunch. h sees the ow all over the H and runs away. H doesn’t go after her because he is still working. Ow makes sure the paparazzi photos the H and her leaving in the same car. H goes straight to h’s place and she tells him to leave. He gets upset because again she won’t let him explain. H goes to a bar and ow shows up. H decides to stay and gets drunk (even though he tells himself he should leave) and again is photographed leaving the bar with ow. Ow is in his arms and she is kissing his hand. h sees the pictures and decides to text ow. Ow lies and said that her and H have been dating on and off. h’s roommate convinces h to hear the H out. H rushes over which the h apologizes to H for not hearing him out : | He forgives her and they get HEA with him proposing.

Descriptive Sex: Yes

Final thoughts: This was my first book from this author and it’s a 2 1/2 stars read for me. I would have given it more stars if the ow would have been called out by the H in front of the press. I definitely will read the next book. Looking forward to see how Jackson and Scar get their HEA.

Second chance sweetness! 4.5⭐️
Atticus and Parker were high school sweethearts pulled apart by a misunderstanding. Fate brings them to the same party and back into each other’s lives for a second chance at their endgame. I love that it’s written in both of their point of views because it really shows how sweet Parker is. The banter is top notch. The way it is written made me sometimes feel like they were conversing with me.
I can’t wait for book 2 in this series!

A second chance? Maybe.....

Atticus and Parker were teenage sweethearts who broke up, then met again unexpectedly five years later. Atti hated Parker for what he had done but Parker had never stopped loving her. He takes his second chance with her but can they get their HEA? Of course, it isn't all straightforward on the road to everlasting love, but luckily they had their best friends to help them along the way, even when they didn't listen to Scarlet and Jackson's advice.
The story was good, well-written and entertaining, the characters fleshed out and their interactions were fun for the most part. Parker's family were especially lovely. I'm looking forward to Jacks and Scar's book now because their dynamic was so interesting.
I did really enjoy the book, until the later part and would have rated it four stars but I had some big gripes that made this a three star read. Please don't read on if you don't want details of those gripes that may mar your enjoyment of the story.

Spoilers.....

Parker said that Atti didn't give him a chance to explain and that was why they were apart all those years, but if he loved her as much as he professed to, he would have tried a lot harder to tell her the truth about what happened way back when.
Given a second chance, he didn't lie because, in his own words, it 'just an omission'. A great big fat omission that was a complete betrayal of the trust and faith Atti was placing in him again, and having betrayed her trust once more, he then compounds it by making things even worse that same day. Then, when she does agrees to hear him out, he behaves like a complete arsehole and is expecting her to apologise to him, WHICH SHE DOES. I was less than impressed with her giving in so easily too. He could have avoided it all with one sentence but he didn't and then acted like the wounded party because she didn't trust him.
Parker would have been the perfect book boyfriend if he had just stepped up and told the truth to his soulmate, especially second time around. He was lucky she gave him the time of day really, after how bad everything looked to Atti each time. I know friction was necessary for the story but I just couldn't be doing with Parker's smug holier-than-thou attitude at their reconciliation at the end when all I wanted to do was just smack him into tomorrow then.

This is book one in The Model Act Duet and it is Atti and Parker's story and what a great start to a new series and Author. Atti and Parker have history as they were in love when they were in high school but we're broken apart by a misunderstanding that neither realised. Now years later and they meet again at a party and both realise that they still have feelings for each other and never got over what they had but things are never easy and there will be lots of distractions to try and keep them apart yet again but will they get through everything and give themselves a second chance or will they miss out on something special get again only time will tell what the outcome will be. This book was sweet and funny in places and I couldn't put it down as it was a real page turner and so addictive. Scar and Jackson were amazing friends and supported Atti and Parker throughout and I look forward to reading there book. Katie Lowrie is not only a new author to me but this is her first book and she certainly knocked it out of the park as it was so well written and had great characters and I look forward to reading more of her books in the future.

This story was heartwarming, sweet, funny and frustrating all rolled into one. I loved Parker and Atticus’ story. So much so, that I read it twice, back to back.

I felt so drawn to Atticus - her clumsy, stubborn, hilarious ways had me internally screaming, laughing and crying through the whole story. When I say she’s stubborn, I mean she takes it to a whole new level 😂 But in such a relatable way. I feel like most girls out there will be able to see themselves in her shoes. I totally did.

Pleaaaaaase someone direct me to a real life Parker 😍😍 Mr model has it alll going for him. He has the biggest ego but the biggest heart! If you read this and don’t fall in love with Parker, I won’t believe you !!

It was so nice to read of Atticus’ self doubts about her appearance and to see Parker’s reactions and his push to make her see how beautiful she really is. His comments made my heart so full 💓

This beautiful second chance romance had so many bumps in the road. At times, I wasn’t even sure there would be a HEA. One thing I love in a romance book, is when the events are relatable. I could see every misunderstanding that arose in Model (mis)Behaviour happening in real life. I loved every word written.

This book has stolen my heart 💗

A second chance romance with a fiesty heroine and a whole lot of miscommunication.

It's been years since Atticus and Parker were together. They crossed a lot of firsts together, more so for Atticus than Parker. Until one night Atticus witnessed something that crossed a line and she disappeared out of Parkers life. Fate has a way of working things out though, years down the line Parker is now a model and Atticus is struggling with university so they shouldn't cross paths but they do and Sparks fly once more.

This is Katie's first contemporary romance and I definitely enjoyed it. There are some laugh out loud moments and the characters friendship group is a massive throwback to "Friends". I was addicted to what was going to happen next. The only thing I wanted more of was depth, every time things were getting juicy I wanted more but the dialogue or narrative moved on.

Still thoroughly enjoyed the first half of the story and I am super excited for book 2.

TROPES : Second chance, clumsy heroine, model hero

Fast and good read!

Parker and Atticus were high school sweethearts but due to a misunderstanding, they grow apart and now, six years later they meet at a party and Parker gets his chance to explain the truth of what really happened all those years ago.

I loved Atticus! She was such a sweetheart, very kind and simple. She has always felt insecure about herself and I just wanted to give her the biggest hug and tell her that she was beautiful (glad that Parker does that😍). She has never really gotten over Parker and same for him. What I liked about Parker was how relentless he was with her and you can see how much he adores her. All in all was a good read.

I m more excited about Jackson and Scar's story! They both were really good friends and Scar was a rock for Atti. Can't wait to read more about them!

Model (mis)Behaviour is such a fun, mostly light hearted book and I adored it a lot! I just love second chance romances and this is done so well!

You can feel the chemistry between Atticus and Parker almost immediately when they cross paths again and I loved how slowly the feelings started rising to the surface again. Parker is not one to give up and I love how he fights for Atticus and kept doing it even when she tried to push him away. And omg the moment when she finally gives into the undeniable connection they have is everything.

I love how real this is because we all make mistakes and sometimes there's miscommunications between couples; it's what makes us human. And I found myself relating to Atticus a lot and I loved that!

This is a really sweet story that gave me all the right feels I came here for and just ah love it! Atticus and Parker truly show that the right people will always find a way back into your life no matter what!

"I love her more than anything in this life, and I knew that this was the start of our forever."

*I received this ARC from the author but the thoughts are completely my own.*

This is a second chance romance between Parker, a cocky male model, and Atticus who used to be his girlfriend but broke up with him and blocked his number because of jealousy (Alexa, another model, kissed him). It took them years to reconnect but Parker is convinced he wants Atti back. Even his family wants Atti back, and it's pretty easy to fall back into the old familiarity and closeness. But Alexa hasn't gone anywhere.

Some of the dialogue didn't totally work for me. Parker switches between sad desperation and cocky confidence at the drop of a hat and when Parker meets Atti and finally has his chance to explain, he spends his time begging her to let him explain instead of explaining. But overall this was an entertaining and easy read.

I liked the story but the characters were a slight let down. Second chance love story between Parker and Atticus.

I enjoyed the interaction between both when they were together, but Parker was a bit too much of a manwhore for me to buy that he loved Atticus.
Also although the writing made out that everything was Atticus's fault for being too stubborn. It's not called out in the book for Parker for putting himself in these situations.

For example you should not allow another girl to sit on your lap if you were in love with your girlfriend.
Plus he only seemed to care about her because he saw her again rather than the fact that he missed her.

It's short, sweet and has laugh out moments. What more can you ask for from a second chance romance?

Atticus and Parker, urgh these two. So much could of been resolved, years wouldn't of been wasted, if only they had communicated with each other! However this is what makes the book so relatable to the average Joe, we're humans and humans make mistakes. In their case, their mistakes have a HEA, eventually.

The side characters, I love how fiercely they support their friends - and that is exactly what best friends are for. Every one needs a Scar in their life!

Thank you for the opportunity to ARC read this book and I can't wait to see what happens in the next installment ❤

This is a beautiful second chance romance. Like most second chance romance this one has its fair number of miscommunications. Atticus and Parker were in love in high school , a misunderstanding causes them to drift apart and part ways . Years later these two meet again and realize they still have feelings for each other. The story was captivating and beautifully written. It was unputdownable and binge read worthy. I literally read this book in one sitting. For a debut novel this book is very well written with great relatable characters. A heartwarming debut and l look forward to reading more books by this author. Definitely a must read.

This was an entertaining second chance romance featuring Atticus and Parker who were high school sweethearts who broke up due to a misunderstanding. Atticus hates Parker for what he did but Parker never stopped loving Atticus even if they were on bad terms. When they cross paths again you can see the sparks between them still. Will they get their second chance? You really need to read this book to see what happens. I really enjoyed the story being told from the dual P.O.V'S I feel it adds to the story.

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. This is the first story in the Model Act Duet. I had mixed feelings about the love story between Atticus and Parker. Their falling out and the years since did not quite give them a lot of ground to stand on for a second chance. When together they could have a close connection but that was not enough to sell me that they would be perfect together. I did like Atticus much better than Parker so that might have a lot to do with it. 3.5

A first time author for me but not the last.
I have never come across a more stubborn character in a book than Atticus Allman!

Atticus held a grudge against her ex- her high school sweetheart Parker Daniels for five long years for breaking her heart by cheating as she thought by what she saw one night surprising him……..

She never gave him him a chance to explain his side of the story and ghosted him since and now five years later Parker sees the one that got away- the love of his life- at a wrap party of his actor best friend Jackson James.

Now a famous model and player Parker Daniels will not give up on stating his side of the story and win back the love of his life!
Will he succeed with the help of his best friend Jackson and Scarlett - an aspiring actress and best friend of Atticus or will another malicious fame hungry model stand in the way?

Looking forward to Scarlett and Jackson’s story next!

~ ARC Received in Exchange for an Honest Review ~

Model (mis)Behaviour is the first standalone book in the Model Act Duet.

It is a Contemporary Second Chance Romance following high-school sweethearts Atticus and Parker.

My rating - 3.5 to 4 stars

Atticus and Parker dated in high school, but due to a misunderstanding on the part of the heroine, they separated. Atticus was doing kinda well in the next few years. A struggling college student, she moved in with her best friend Scarlet, who is an actress.

When her best friend invites her to a wrap-up party of a movie, Atticus ends up meeting her ex-boyfriend Parker in a really funny way. And that's where the second chance begins.

I loved Atticus from the start. She reminded me of myself in so many ways. She is a wallflower, a little clumsy, loves reading, stubborn, overthinker and kinda insecure about herself. But she is so real, and I wanted the best for her. She had never gotten over Parker, heartbroken over what she experienced, and when she met Parker again, she wasn't sure whether she wanted to give him the second chance.

Parker, on the other hand, was doing great in his life. He is a successful model, pretty friendly, and a manwhore. He is best friends with Jackson who is actually the lead in the movie Scarlett has a role in.

Surprise Surprise, Parker ends up going to the wrap-up party and finally meets the 'love of his life' Atticus. The old feelings resurfaced - he hadn't gotten over her and now that fate had led them to meet - he had to get her back.

So, I completely liked the beginning and the middle part of the story. Atticus and Parker have some really fun moments and I couldn't wait to unravel what went wrong with them all those years back. There was a miscommunication between the two then, and the journey to them coming together isn't easy - there are many issues they haven't faced.

There are some parts that I could have done well without, but overall it is an enjoyable read.

It's a fast-paced, heart-warming romance, so I do recommend it if you enjoy Second Chance Light Contemporary Romance!

I love the idea behind this book. Parker is the sweetest guy ever but I couldn't get past the huge misunderstanding between the two main characters. It was just a stretch for me that he couldn't have tracked her down over the years to explain his truth. It was a light romcom read with some great secondary characters and an intensely dislikeable "villain" which is always good to see.

This was everything you could ask for a second chance book. Atti and Parker are soulmates and you can see that since their first interaction. But she is really stubborn and is not ready to listen what he had to say, but he didn’t gave up and did everything necessary to get her to listen to him. He was really sweet and said the most perfect things at the most perfect times. Honestly, where do I find me a Parker? Their story and chemistry were amazing. Although I might say that I liked Scar and Jackson better than the main characters, so I can’t wait to read their book!

Calling all my second-chance romance lovers! This book has everything you need!

A short story that follows Atticus and Parker trying to rekindle their past relationship after drama that separated them seven years ago. But nothing is ever that simple and the drama only follows them.

This book is one of the most relatable books I’ve ever read. The boy who’s literally a stupid boy and can’t see why what he did was wrong. The girl who literally overthinks every fucking thing even though we’re probably wrong. The stupid bitch that always tries to ruins relationships and the best friends who always have your back.

Parker is a dream, Atti is a mess and what I love about them is they balance each other out so much. You instantly start rooting for them and when they’re good they’re so good but when shit hits the fan you want to knock their heads together.

It’s the perfect rom-com, feel good, comfort read. You know how it’s going to play out but you still fall in love regardless 💕

A pretty good start to a duet. Parker and Atticus were dating in high school and broke up over a simple misunderstanding but fate brought them back together or is it too good to last? Very interesting plot with several plot twists and some drama. Great chemistry between them and enough of a background on the characters to fill in any questions. Can not wait to see what the next book has in store for these two. Will definitely be reading this book again :)
