A straightforward book exploring the emotions around really wanting something that's not yours, doing something you shouldn't do, and then repairing the harm you've done. Adorable art and a relatable situation (other than being able to quickly bake up a cake outdoors?).

Sonny finds a present for his friend Honey, but he wants to know what is inside. I love how Meemo the dog is smaller than the other characters, can only bark, and tries to get the other characters to stop misbehaving. I liked the end of this one, when the friends said sorry and made things right.

The idea of the story is good and I like the illustrations but I don't think this was handled well. Sonny only says sorry, not Boo, and then makes Honey help to make another cake! Nope.

A book about a misbehaving fox who wants something that doesn’t belong to him, great for preschoolers because the dialogues are simple and the story is easy to follow.

Hmm, I don't know if the solution is enough in this case! They ruined her present! That might not be the fault of the book, but I really feel for the character. Maybe the others needed more punishment, although there were no authority figures that could have brought down punishment really. Oh well, at least Zachariah OHora illustrated it.

I really like but at the end of the book sorry isn't where it stops. They try and make things right as well.
