I've read SO many books on survival, bushcraft, wilderness living, and related topics, and I have to say this one is currently at the top of my Recommended list. Joshua writes extremely well, covers a wealth of topics without including too many, while also covering each in sufficient detail that you could actually go out in the woods and practice skills without any additional resources. He doesn't include anything that contradicts science or common sense, which I can't say for many (or possibly ANY of his peers). Engaging, informative, excellent illustrations, I could go on and on. I can't say enough good things about this book.

Took me a bit to get thru because some parts of this book were way over my head and basic understanding….however, some of the other details about building a fire or shelter, and the first aide was very helpful.
