Molly McGuire Cozy Mysteries #3

Shamrocks, Shenanigans and Murder

Rate this book
Molly McGuire keeps finding dead bodies. Is it instinct, intuition, or something else?

The morning after Molly’s birthday, it’s too early, she’s tired, she’s hung over, and it’s pouring rain. The last thing she wants to do on her way to work is make a stop at Shenanigan’s Pub to pick up the present she got from her niece — a stuffed leprechaun named Finn. Things take a turn for the worse when she finds a body behind the bar. And is Finn really talking to her, or is she going nuts?

Can Molly solve another mystery before more shenanigan's happen?

I was so invested in this series and read books one and two very quickly. I was so excited to purchase book 3 but sadly didn't. The introduction of the leprechaun character Finn shut that down sadly as leprechauns are one thing I am not a fan of historically. I have loved all of the characters and the story line and I just don't see the need to make the series shift so far in the fantasy/fiction. The book may be fantastic and wish I was able to read it without the fear of nightmares so I can continue the journey with Molly :-( . If there were a non-leprechaun version of the last 6 books in the series I would be purchasing them all right now.

I am so enjoying this series. Getting to see Molly's character come back home to Ireland and how she is truly finding her true Irish shelf is delightful. At the beginning of this book, I thought oh Cindy has taken this gift that Molly is developing too far (I don't want to give anything away). Let me just say Cindy well done! It makes me so happy to be able to read a book and not have to worry about explicit sex scenes. Cindy writes with passion and lets the reader add in all the extra. Thank You!
I can't wait to read more in this series.

Book 3 continues with the same characters I have loved. The addition of Finn really did not change my viewpoint of the cozy murder-mystery. I feel Finn is Molly's own mind telling her what to do, what she must do to save herself. I won't stop me from reading more of the books. The next one is Ghosts, Goblins and Murder.

I hate to mention this...... But…... some one needs to edit a little closer! :] Just several errors in this and the last book. But I still enjoy the books!!

A True “Whodunit”

Let me say that i read mysteries All the time, and usually figure out the guilty parties, long before the ‘denouement.’
Not this one, the murderer was as elusive as snow in Florida!
Definitely worth the read…

I love these mysteries

Another great Irish mystery. Number 3. They each are better than the last. Great writing and excellent stories filled with interesting characters. I love the Irish touches.

Leprechauns and fairy connections and a temptation named Killian. Not my cup of tea. Very disappointing storyline with Liam, Molly and Killian for me. Also, I knew the murderer as soon as they were introduced and I am tired of Molly being hit on the head.

Another good read 📚

This is part of a series but works well as a stand-alone book as well.
Love the regulars in this sleepy Irish village
I am waiting to see where the romance goes between Molly and Liam.
Throw on a knack for finding bodies. And you have a page turner.

Despite the many typos, grammatical errors and mistakes in the timeline, this was an entertaining and engaging story. The characters are well rounded and plausible and the mystery compelling. My only criticism would be to get a better proof reader!

Great book, really loving the series. Only thing letting it down is the many mistakes in the writing. Gender changes mid sentences and from 1st to 3rd person every so often 🙃

While I like the story this series of books needs an editor. It changes back and forth between first and second person in addition to spelling errors.
