Overall Spice: mostly slow-burn, 🌶️-🌶️.5/5
Although you technically don’t have to read any of the books from the first generation (Marry the Scots Volumes I and II), if you have the time, you really should since the characters do make appearances and you get depth of knowledge…plus…hunky Scots (it’s a no-brainer).
We are brought back to the McRae family and get the stories of Callum and Mathilda’s twins: Lennox (Nox) and Skye, James and Beth’s daughter Isabel, and their son Sebastian. Jolie delivers, AGAIN, swoon-worthy, stubborn Scotsmen and strong women who throw their men for a loop. There is some angst, and a hard-fought HEA is guaranteed!
Volume 1: Hard Nox
This novel follows Lady Isobel Durant Fitzroy (FMC), though she never uses her title, and heir to the McRae castle, Lennox McRae (MMC). Lennox and Isabel have grown up together as their parents are best friends, and Isobel is Lennox’s best friend Sebastian’s younger sister; there has not been budding love but more teasing and “kid sister” vibes. Fast forward to the McRae Christmas party and Lennox is about to leave for the army to help ground himself, and Isobel is nowhere to be found. Lennox goes to “rescue” her, but she doesn’t need rescuing. Their tension-filled meet-up leads to a newfound attraction and Lennox stealing Isobel’s first kiss. A miscommunication between them leads to heartbreak and avoidance for the next 5 years. When Lennox and Isobel cross paths again? Nox is DETERMINED to clear the air and address the palpable tension whenever he and Isobel are in a room together. Nox is just as stubborn as Isobel when his mind is set on something and does not let her push him away.
Volume 2: Perfect Storm
This novel follows Skye McRae, Nox’s twin sister, and Artair Longstaff, a friend of Nox’s. Somehow…Jolie continues to surprise me with her writing, and I was feeling all the feels with this one. Skye McRae has struggled with finding herself. As the younger of the twins, she is not set to inherit the responsibility that Lennox will, and because of that, she has put immense pressure on herself to carve out a path that she wants her family to be proud of and exudes perfection since she feels like she is letting them down in the love department. Skye’s family and the Fitzroy’s, her best friend’s family, always assumed that she and Sebastian would go from childhood crushes to a happily married couple as adults, but the spark was nonexistent, and she feels like she is letting everyone down.
On her journey to achieving a highly coveted internship in bridal design, Skye runs into Artair, whom she met once before at McRae castle. When Skye and Artair first laid eyes on one another in Hard Nox, the breath was stolen from her lungs and neither could look away. Running into on another again is just as electric and turns into a passionate night caught in a storm. What was supposed to be just one night, turns into Skye tracking Artair down months later with a BIG surprise that neither of them saw coming. Their path to a HEA is not easy since they’re on different continents, add in a stubborn and broody childhood best friend who doesn’t want to let go, family and work obligations, an extreme sports accident, and navigating the unknown…and you’ve got yourself immersed into the Wild Scots world and you won’t want to leave!
Volume 3: Lion Heart
Ooooooof! SEBASTIAN!!!!!!!! I fell hard for Sebastian Fitzroy and all of his dark, broody, and stubborn energy. In all honesty, Sebastian left a sour taste in my mouth in the previous book, BUT, his redemption story gave me all the feels and the character depth and growth? Chef’s kiss!
Sebastian’s life is turned inside out and upside down when an unfortunate set of circumstances leads him to being in prison for three years. On the day of his release, Sebastian is confronted with the reason for his incarceration, and he wants answers. The spark between Sebastian and the woman he helped three years prior is a shock to his senses, and he’s not willing to give up on her just yet.
Sweet, sweet Rose. Rose Jackson has struggled the past few years to ensure her and her family’s safety, and knowing Sebastian is getting out of prison, she wants to somehow fix her biggest regret. Things don’t always go as planned, and when feelings develop, things get complicated, but these two get a hard won and swoon-worthy HEA!

I already had a chance to read these books individually. Now I was given an opportunity to listen to them in this bundle as an audiobook.
Hard Nox - I loved Isobel and Lennox! They were hot together and also brought the best out of each other. Together, their personal demons were calmed. Once misunderstandings were explained, their love grew stronger. I did not want to stop reading, and there were moments of joy, tears, and sighs. I highly recommend this story.
Ella Lynch and Paul Metcalfe - narrators - Both did a wonderful job in bringing life to this story. Such a good job with the different personalities.
Perfect Storm - This story contained a man who took on responsibility and accepted circumstances as they arose. He also had a strong a wild dare-devil streak to counter all that responsibility. Artair was a wonderful man but still human. Skye was a strong, determined woman, wanting her own freedom until her options changed. With some steamy scenes between these two, I actually enjoyed how they worked out their futures. I recommend this story.
Ella Lynch and Frank Ryan - narrators - Again Ella Lynch voiced this family quite well. Frank was a good counterpart, and I loved listening to both tell the story.
Lion Heart - A story full of denial, questionable pasts, lots of love, family, and forgiveness. I really enjoyed this story. Sebastian was a conflict of emotions, and I enjoyed how he worked through his feelings, more so once he was pushed to do so. Rose was a strong young woman who was trying to live beyond her past to have a better life with little to her name. These two made a powerful young couple willing to do what they thought was right for each other. I highly recommend this story, and I can't wait for the next book.

Everything Scot!
Jolie Vines has woven a magical tail with amazing characters. I was hooked from the first book and I’ve gone through the series from beginning to end, loving each character more and more. I’ve read this complete series 3 times in the last year and I keep coming back to it every time I need to find my happy place.

Just wow.
The story telling us top notch. The weaving of the previous series of characters mixes beautifully with the new generation of young adults of the McRae and Fitzroy clans. HEAs all around but not without realistic struggles and resolutions. And always leaves you wanting for the next story to see how everyone progresses. Top tier!

Wild Scots series ...
Volume 1. This boxset has everything you would need in any awesome read. Fabulously written. Each book can stand on its own but is a fantastic journey when you read all 3. These stories are hella angsty, twisty, dramatic and hopeful. You will laugh, cry and clutch your pearls. I love these crazy bigger than life Scots.

Loved it!
This volume is the next generation of Scots. Absolutely loved reading the stories of the children from the Mary the Scots series. It was good seeing the characters again as older parents and how their children also doing love.

I’m so happy this author decided to continue this lovely world with more books about these interesting characters. The settings are also amazing and I have loved it again even the second time around.

Wow!
The 2nd generation of the McRae and Fitzroy's are amazing! I loved having all 3 books and audiobooks at my hands. Spice level is 3-4 and strong 4 stars for all the books.

I'm rereading this series starting with this little box set.
Hard Nox- so great. I love Isobel & Lennox, and I just love all these wonderful characters. this was the first Jolie Vines book I read introducing me to the Scottish highlands and these sexy kilt wearing men. I was obsessed and have stayed obsessed all these years since.
Perfect Storm- Skye & Artair are just....chefs kiss. their chemistry was perfect and a little drama but in the story around these 2, not really with their relationship. I forgot how much I loved this story.
Lion Heart- ugh!! I forgot how much I loved this one!! Rose & Sebastian's story.

1. Hard Nox. I think he’s only referred to by this handle once when there’s discussion of his underground fights. He seems to be called Len a lot more often. Anyway, this is the love story between Lennox and Isobel. They’ve known each other their whole lives and the attraction between them has been simmering for quite a while before it’s acted upon.
2. Perfect Storm. Skye and Lennox are twins. Sebastian is Isobel’s brother. Their families have always assumed that Skye and Seb will marry someday. Despite Sebastian’s desire to fulfill this premise, Skye just isn’t feeling it and their “romance” has never taken off. She designs wedding gowns and one of her uncles is taken photos for her portfolio. Unfortunately the uncle injures himself so Artair, a friend of Lennox, steps in to complete the shoot. They are stranded in a cabin during a rainstorm and the rest is pretty much history.
3. Lion Heart. Sebastian returns to the underground fight scene to assuage some of his disappointment at Skye’s rejection. He sees a man accosting a young woman and comes to her rescue. He ends up in prison due to the girl disappearing and her assailant lying that Seb was the perpetrator of their fight. The mysterious woman reappears the day Sebastian is released and he is caught up in the drama that is her life. Her father, sister and niece all need sorting before she and Seb can have their HEA.
