A trip to Ireland to locate a romantic wedding venue for a bride sounds like the ideal getaway for a wedding planner and her team . . . until they stumble upon a body in a castle.
Annabelle Archer is no stranger to drama, and when a client asks her to hunt down the most dramatic Irish backdrop for her wedding, she and her team jump at the chance. But everything isn’t rainbows and shamrocks. The team thought they had their hands full navigating narrow roads, dealing with boisterous American tourists, and avoiding enthusiastic honeymooners, but when a fellow tourist is found murdered in the walled garden of a castle, Annabelle and her crew discover that the Emerald Isle may be hiding some dark secrets. When more calamity strikes their group and it looks like her assistant is being set up to take the fall, Annabelle must find the killer before her luck of the Irish runs out.

I'm a writer and reformed wedding planner who loves quiet mornings, great books, paddle boarding, and blackberry cobbler.
I write humorous cozy mysteries about a wedding planner because I like books that make me laugh and because, after planning weddings for twenty years, I have a long list of people to kill.
When the Wedding Belles crew heads to Ireland to scout locations for a society wedding, all "belles" break loose!
It's a wonderful journey with castles, mysterious happenings, surprises and murder! Who is killing off a group of senior tourists that Fern has befriended? When suspicion falls on Kate, the Wedding Belies detectives swing into action!
I love this series and this book doesn't disappoint! A "hard to figure out" mystery that keeps you guessing, quirky and lovable supporting characters (Richard, Hermes the Yorky, Fern and Latrice are my favorites) humor, friendship all keep me coming back for more wedding planning adventures!
Irish Aisles Are Smiling by Laura Durham is the thirteenth installment in Annabelle Archer Wedding Planner Mystery series and another fantastic read.
This time Annabelle and her friends are in Ireland, looking for a perfect wedding venue for their future bride. Visiting century old castles to find the right one while enjoying a beautiful country should be heaven. Not if you Annabelle. After they had an accident with their rent a car vehicle, they are graciously invited by a senior genealogy group from the US who are touring Ireland looking for their roots. Almost as soon as they land they stumble upon a dead body of one of the old ladies. Then they almost find another dead body.
After they finally obtain mini van their driver gets mysteriously ill. And then they find priceless artifacts in somebody's suitcase. Trouble just seems to follow Annabelle's group wherever they go. But when Kate becomes a suspect the group has to put their wits together and solve the case.
This has certainly became one of my favorite series and every new book brings more fun and enjoyment. Witty come backs, sarcastic remarks and brash humor are a huge plus. Of course a well plotted and presented mystery is the most important part. Easy and steady rhythm of writing along with some fabulously created characters both main and side are always a winning part. I especially like how the whole group gets to solve the murder and each character has their little part in the plot. Endings are usually unexpected and a big surprise.
Perfect choice for all mystery lovers!

Laura Durham is new to me, and I am glad to have found her books. I am WAY late to the game (started off on book 12 in her series and now 13) but these books can be read as a stand alone. I enjoyed these books so much, I will most likely go back and read the other 11 that I have not read yet. (just haven't had time yet)
Annabelle and the whole ragtag bunch are at it again. This book had the right amount of humor, mystery, and subtle romance. I laughed, i was intrigued, and engrossed in the story from page 1. Loved the kookiness of all Annabelle's friends. They made this story such an enjoyable read. The over the top humor and characters personalities made it hard to put the book down.
Written as a first person, single pov and has a HFN ending. Strong and entertaining story line. Great descriptions to details making it feel as if I was a part of the story, awesome and funny as hell dialogue, and such awesome characters that I wish I had friends like these. There would never be a dull moment that is for sure.
Would I recommend this book? Absolutely!
Would I read more from this author? Yes

Fashion faux pas, driving daring do, slain senior, and a number of good photos of potential sites for an Irish destination wedding- must be an Annabelle Archer wedding planner event.
Even on a scouting trip for the perfect Irish wedding venue, she is indeed a murder magnet, as bestie Richard put it; and as Annabelle herself later affirmed.
With fabulous hairdresser Fern, chef and culinary consultant Richard, florists and Bikers for Jesus, Mack and Buster, and her flirty assistant Kate in the entourage, mayhem must follow, and murder is not unlikely.
Her hunky beau Detective Reese initially planned to stay at work in DC, but he tends to appear if the ladies seem in trouble.
The Irish Garda are hunky, but getting entangled with a murder is maybe not the best way for Kate to connect with one.
Clever deductions, and reveals gone wrong are to form for Kate and Annabelle.
Perhaps in the end Annabelle will find Ireland a source of some romantic memories after all.
A colorful, fun and fabulous mystery and mayhem filled adventure!

Annabelle and her wedding planning team have taken a flight over to Ireland to help a bride-to-be find the perfect spot for her destination wedding. It is a senator’s daughter getting married, so they are looking forward to the all-expenses-paid getaway. After their rental car is damaged beyond repair, they find themselves joining a bunch of ancestry hunting (older) ladies from the US on their bus tour. The trip turns from fun and hectic to discovering one of the ladies murdered in the walled garden of a castle. What’s more, it looks like trusty assistant Kate is being framed for the murder. Can Annabelle, Richard, Fern, and Kate unravel the murder mystery before Kate is locked up for good?
This is a madcap adventure through Ireland that includes lots of mayhem, the constant bumping into a strange honeymooning couple at every turn, and a vivacious group of grannies that may not be all as they seem. It is the perfect combination of humor, mystery, suspense, and adventure.

Annabelle, Kate, Richard and Fern have flown to Ireland to scope out potential wedding venues for a destination wedding they are planning. What happens after they arrive is mayhem, adventure, murder and a whole bus load of new friends.
This is a fun, funny and entertaining cozy mystery set in the beautiful country of Ireland. The characters are amazing - full of life, lots of personality and each quirky in their own way. As usual Laura Durham weaves a hilarious tale, with unexpected plot twists, creative situations, and witty dialogue, that keeps you guessing who-done-it until the dramatic climax and the surprise ending. The beautiful and wonderfully described historical places in Ireland add authenticity and charm to this story. As with the other books in this series, a bit of romance is included. I love the series but you can read this book as a stand-alone but be prepared to fall in love with the characters and want to read the rest.

Just when I thought this author couldn't top Annabelle's last wedding/adventure, she comes up with a destination wedding planning trip in Ireland - brilliant! The author has a lush, descriptive writing style that made me feel like I was right there on location checking out wedding venues, visiting pubs, traveling through the countryside. Of course, the gang gets involved in a murder/mystery that they just can't help but investigate. The author incorporated all of the characters I have come to know and love into the story - pretentious Richard, Fern and his outrageous outfits and Kate with her malpropisms that always makes me laugh. Even those not on location in Ireland made an appearance in one way or another to enhance the story. I always learn something new from these stories too - goat yoga??? Yeah, I just had to Google that one! And, as always, I just adore the clever title and cute cover art! A sweet little surprise in this one too!
I love the entire Series of Annabelle Archer, Premier Wedding Planner, in Washington, DC. The only problem is, there seems to be a murder tossed in for free! She has the quirkiest friends and the sexiest boyfriend in all of the Cozy Mysteries! Reese is to die for! This one takes place in Ireland, while the gang is looking for a wedding venue, for a Senator's daughter. It seems they can't go across the pond, without causing mayhem, and a murder to solve. I love everything about this book. My heart is still pounding at the ending! I am giving away a 25 Dollar Gift Card on Facebook to help buy these books! They will make you laugh out loud, every one of the books is hilarious! The Author does not know I am having a Giveaway, well, I guess she will now. No, I do not know the Author. What I do know is, she has made laugh through every book, I look forward to more! I highly recommend! Thanks! carolintallahassee.com
The Wedding Belles (high-end Bridal Consultants) from DC along with their favorite Consultants (Caterer, Hair Stylist & Florists) are traveling to Ireland to tour Castles. All this hoopla is for a Senator’s daughter’s Destination Wedding. You would think that things would go smoothly since the team is not actually in charge of a Wedding this time. But - it seems that death seems to follow them around like tea stains on white linen! A chance meeting of a group of American Senior Citizen Tourists offering a ride in their bus ends up providing a great deal more excitement than they expected! You just never know what to expect when you get these great characters together! Great Mystery! So Much Humor! I was provided an ARC of this book by the author. The opinions expressed here are completely my own and without influence.
*Spoilers* How exciting for Annabelle and Wedding Bells...Annabelle and company get to go to Ireland to scout out a Castle for the wedding of a Senators daughter. However...her "troubles" follow her. After losing their rental car, they hook up with a group of wlderly ladies thanks to Fern. Then it happens.......Annabelle, Kate and Richard decover yet another body...but therea not even a wedding going on!!! How could this be? What's worse....the evidence all points to Kate!!!! What are they going to do.... This is a well written story full of funny antics and in a serious situation that is typical Kate and Company's MO. Will they solve the murder before it gets to the States and get Kate out of this sticky situation??? Lovvvveee this book! I highly recommend it.

Wedding Belles, the wedding planning agency, is taking the show on the road to Ireland! This book had just the right amount of humor without being over the top. I visited Ireland some time ago, so I particularly enjoyed the descriptions of driving on the other side of the road. The author describes the settings well, enough that you can visualize the interesting places that the characters are at but not so much that you feel dragged it down by too much description. I quite enjoyed this book because the writer had the right balance of suspense, quirky characters, and humor.
I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.
You would think that a pesky little thing like murder could be left behind when Annabelle and her “motley crew” fly to Ireland to scope out wedding venues for a bride who is not afraid to spend her dad’s money. NOT! Almost before they can catch their breaths and overcome jet lag, Annabelle, Kate, Richard and Fern sink to their armpits in a new murder mystery. Richard keeps insisting they stick to business, Fern runs around in attire to match the moment, Kate is under suspicion, Annabelle spends a fortune in trans-Atlantic phone calls, and Buster and Mack arrive a day later to envision flower arrangements for each site. I greatly enjoyed this book. The characters are still wacky, and the plot is definitely worth the title of mystery. And – there is a surprise ending.
I absolutely loved this book! The characters are amazing and so much fun. Laura Durham has such a wonderful way of descriptive writing that you feel like you are in Ireland with Annabelle and her team. The camaraderie between the characters makes you want to be part of their team. I want to go to one of the weddings that this team organizes.
There is humour, mystery, and even a little bit of romance in this Annabelle Archer Wedding Planner Mystery. Since this is my first one, I will have to go back and read the others!

This one was a lot of fun. Annabelle and her team go to Ireland to scout out locations for an upcoming wedding and get pulled into...well, the kind of thing they're usually pulled into. There was an interesting balance between things they couldn't help being involved in and things they chose to be involved in. And of course it's always fun discovering which expressions Kate will mangle or which outfits Fern will come up with.
I don't want to ruin anything, so I'll just say that if you're a fan of the series and the characters, this is not one to miss.
This entertaining team are magnets for murder wherever they go, in this instance it’s the Republic of Ireland where Annabelle and her assistant, the bikie florists, her best friend Richard and the very naughty hairdresser Fern are scouting a suitable wedding venue for a U.S. Senator’s daughter. A murdered person floats into view and the race is on. Richard, a top caterer and total snob, is in peak form here, and had me laughing throughout this charming book with his pithy comments on everything and Fern is completely OTT as usual with some startling clothing choices which are very funny. If you like cozy mysteries I highly recommend this book.
Irish Aisles are Smiling is another great Annabelle Wedding Planner Mystery. Planning a destination wedding takes Annabelle to Ireland. In addition to the lovely descriptions of old castles and gardens, a murder victim is discovered. True to form, Annabelle and her gang cannot keep from getting involved in a little detective work. The author cleverly dances through the suspects. There is plenty of humor and laugh out loud moments with returning characters helping along the way. It was a delightful read.
Annabelle and crew are working in Ireland to find a wedding venue for a couple. They meet other Americans there researching their family tree. When a murder happens, the main suspect is Annabelle’s assistant and they have to find out who did it so she is no longer a suspect. Annabelle’s cop boyfriend goes to Ireland to help them stay out of trouble and jail. In the end, the gang all figure out the murderers. You’ve got to read this book and all of the series to figure out all of the humor and characters that the author always has in her books. You’ll learn to love them all as much as I do.
This is probably my favourite book of all in the Annabelle Archer series. Even though it's totally fine reading it as a stand alone, it'd be beneficial to read one or more previous ones as the characters come back in each story. Anyway, this book has all the ingredients to be an excellent escape from everyday life. It has excitement and tension, a lot of laughs and such excellent descriptions of the locations that I almost felt I was there. It took to the end to realize 'who had done it'. Highly recommended!
This band of crazy friends can't go anywhere, even someplace as unfamiliar as Ireland, where they're supposed to scouting wedding venues, not solving crime! And the ending, well, I'm not going to spoil it, but it was a complete surprise, and perfect! If you haven't kept up on Annabelle & Reese's story so far, you should. All the books in the series are cliffhanger-free and so funny alone, but together, they are flatout hilarious!

Another wedding, another murder . . . though technically Annabelle and company are only scouting locations for a wedding.
If I have any complaint at all, it is with how mean Richard, Kate, and Fern have been to Annabelle during the last couple of mysteries. Though couched as teasing, their comments about Annabelle's propensity for getting involved with murder investigations has taken a decidedly mean-spirited turn. How quickly they forget that when they've been accused, it was Annabelle's tenacity that helped clear them.
I have enjoyed EVERY Laura Durham book in her series and this one is no different. Irish Aisles are Smiling is particularly fun to read because it takes place in Ireland. Durham's description of the countryside, the lodging facilities and more really makes you feel like you are there. And of course, the regular cast of characters are there for all the typical -- and brand new -- shenanigans, just with a bit of an Irish twist. Clearly, the Annabelle Archer crew travels well! I'm looking forward to more exotic locations!
I really enjoyed this book. In this book the wedding planners adventure into Ireland. There is mystery, adventure, mayhem and hilarious antics as they explore castles and tourists places in Ireland. I love the characters and their many interactions as they fall into a murder investigation. The book is well written and fun. There are many surprises and twists and turns as they solve the murder. Such a great read!
As expected from this author. I love the storyline, the setting, and the characters because they are so unique and fabulous. The mystery is also vey captivating. It is nothing like I expected. The story kept me guessing until the end. I could not guess whot the culprits were. That certainly shocked me. I can't get enough of it. I love it!

A destination wedding turns out to be an adventure for the team. Fern seems to be extra fun while visiting Ireland, by far he is my favorite character in this book. Throughout the book the team has to use their wit and individual strengths to solve the mystery while abroad. I think that this book is the best in the series this far.

This is the first book in this series that I've read. It's a great read, entertaining and holds your attention. The author makes you feel like you're right there in Ireland as the story is taking place. Who knew a destination wedding could be filled with so much adventure for Wedding Belles wedding planning agency. A delightful and enjoyable read. Another stunning book in the series. Annabelle and her quirky crew are off to Ireland to scout for locations for a high profile wedding. Everything seems to be easy going till they join and travel with a group of older American ladies and Annabelle finds one of them in the lily pond of a possible wedding venue.
The end is totally surprising and the whole book a pleasure from start to finish.
I’m never disappointed with any of the books in this series. Great characters, fun interaction, crazy antics, and so much love between them all. It’s nice when friends become family. It’s a strong connection. Which they needed since one of their own was under suspicion for murder! But they stuck together and even got a happy, fantastic ending!

Just finished reading the latest in the Annabelle Archer series and I have to say it was the best one yet. Not to over the top unbelievable and made me want to join them on their romp through Ireland, and the fact that I could look up the venues and see how truly beautiful the castles and gardens were made it even more appealing. Your eyes will be smiling and maybe even a bit teary after reading this winner of a book!
