4.5-stars for Fake It For Now, book 2 in the Kings of Campus series
This is the first time I have read a book by this author and I must say I was impressed, the book kept me hooked and I didn't want to put it down. It may be because my favorite genre is sports romance but more likely it was likely Noah, the sexy, hot football star who's character has so many layers it's hard not to want him finding his HEA. I somewhat found Morgan to be mildly annoying and too wishy washy for my person taste for the female character lead. Bottom Line, Fake It For Now is a book I would definitely recommend. I look forward to seeing whats next for this series & which sexy football star working towards his path to the pros will heading to his own HEA.

I probably counted over 50 blatant spelling and grammar errors which genuinely had me struggling to figure out what was being said.
Numerous inconsistencies (Is Knox a freshman or sophomore?) and entire paragraphs repeating something that was JUST said (Every time Morgan talked about her dreading the trip to Boston at the start).
The pregnancy scare and last minute breakup-all of it was forced af. I also noticed that a lot of sports romance series authors tend to be to obvious and make it look unnatural and forced when plugging the characters of their future books in the series and trying to make us like them. I promise just a cute display of friendship and subtle hint at romance is enough.
What’s crazy is that I definitely would’ve given this a higher rating even half way through despite the lack of editing because I actually enjoyed the plot and characters and it really could’ve made for a pretty decent college romance. But at one point near the end I was like JFC enough of this shit! How many errors am I going to have to read through??
This is disappointing because it’s difficult to find college romance authors that write the kind of plots and tropes I like to read about and I was planning to read the rest of the series after reading the blurbs. But yea no I physically can’t get through it.
I’ll still give this author’s future books in 2023 a chance, however, because it seems this series was their first. Please just edit your damn books in the future I’m begging

Noah has been trying to get Morgan to go out with him for 2 years to no avail. Morgan isn't interested in getting involved with an athlete again after 2 failed relationships in the past. She has no intentions of being just another notch on his bedpost and ending up hurt in the end. Her reasonings are not all that unfounded with Noah since even though he's actively pursuing Morgan, he is still somewhat getting involved with other chicks at the same time. When Morgan's cousin tells her that she now has a plus one to her wedding, Morgan asks Noah to be her pretend boyfriend for the weekend. The more time they spend together the more they get to know each other and see one another in a different light. This was an overall good story! It was a really easy read that kept my attention throughout the book.

- J'ai bien aimé le début du livre et le passage où nos héros sont à Boston. Il faut dire que j'aime beaucoup la trope du fake dating.
- J'ai trouvé touchant la scène devant la photo de famille et la visite de l'ancienne maison de Morgan.
- Cependant je ne me suis pas attachée aux personnages. Noah mentionne trop souvent à mon goût que c'est normal qu'il obtienne l'attention de tous car il est qui il est, on sent que ça lui est monté à la tête. Morgan quand à elle semble changer d'avis trop rapidement.
- J'avoue avoir eu un peu de mal avec la deuxième partie du livre car tout s'enchaîne rapidement (un baiser, en couple, la rupture, un baiser et la fin) du coup je n'ai pas vraiment eu le temps de ressentir les même sentiments de nos personnages, je n'ai pas eu de liens avec eux, c'est ce qui fait qu'une histoire me prend aux tripes.

Noah can have any woman on campus but he can't stop thinking about the one that won't even give him a chance. All he needs is a chance.
Then she needs his help.
Morgan has been burned by athletes in the past, so as hot and sweet as Noah is she isn't risking her heart again. Now she needs a date for her cousins wedding.
The banter and build up in this story is great. Believable conflict and romance.

This is a well written sports romance with strong characters in Noah and Morgan. The author does a great job developing the relationship and paints her scenes perfectly. It's an entertaining story and I enjoyed reading.

This is the story about Morgan and Noah, told in the dual, first person point of view which is always a deal breaker for me. While the story, or at least Noah's point of view starts extremely cocky, he quickly grew on me and I liked him at the end of the story.

I love a good fake romance. The chemistry between these two is off the charts. They are hot together. Their back and forth is cute and funny before getting together. He tries so hard for just one date.

Not sure about Noah...he was kind of in love with Morgan but as he said in those 2 years is the fact that his very visible carousel of hook-ups hasn't exactly slowed down...

Noah and Morgan have quite the start to their relationship. He is constantly asking her out, and she is always saying no. However, Morgan ends up asking Noah to be her pretend boyfriend as she needs to attend a family wedding with a date. From there, their chemistry overwhelms them, and starts a beautiful but complicated relationship. I thought this romance was cute, sweet and steamy ho!!

Not for me
Though the book was good, it wasn'tfor me. It seems that the book hadn't been edited properly. There was spelling mistakes and sentences that didn't make any sense. If you can get past some of these minor issues the book would have been better.
