From the series that “fans of Susan Wiggs will find...to their liking” comes this irresistible story of a free spirit who falls for the last man she’d ever expect.
Just when recently evicted yoga instructor Faith Rotolo thinks her luck has run out, she inherits a historic mansion in quaint Sapphire Springs. Though Faith never imagined putting roots down anywhere, small-town life is growing on her, as is her fixer-upper house. If only her handsome new contractor, Rob Milan, would stop spoiling her daydreams with the realities of a major rehab…and his generally grouchy vibes.
A single dad of two, Rob doesn’t have much time for fantasy wish-list ideas his clients can’t afford. Then again, Faith’s creative energy might be exactly what he needs right now. But while Rob and Faith work to give her home the second chance it deserves, their spirited clashes wind up sparking a powerful attraction. As work nears completion, and Faith’s house becomes the shining jewel of the neighborhood, will she and Rob realize that they deserve a fresh start too?
A happily-ever-after-crafter at heart, Barb Curtis’ love for writing began with a quick-witted style column, and her background in marketing led to stints writing print and web copy, newsletters, and grant proposals. The switch to fiction came with the decision to pair her creativity with her love for words and crafting characters and settings she could truly get lost in. Barb happily lives in a bubble in rural New Brunswick with her husband, daughter, and dog. You’ll find her restoring the century-old family homestead, weeding the garden, and no doubt whistling the same song all day long.

Falling for You by Barb Curtis is the third book in the contemporary romance Sapphire Springs series. The common theme in this contemporary romance series is the setting of Sapphire Springs with the main couples in each book changing. Since each of the books is a new couple with a new story they can all be read and enjoyed as a standalone without reading the others in the series but there are glimpses of previous characters for those reading from the beginning.
The first book of the Sapphire Springs series brought a second chance romance, the second book had a fake dating trope and now we have an enemies to lovers type of story. Faith Rotolo is a free spirit who has been traveling around the world studying yoga wherever she lands. When Faith is contacted by an attorney out of the blue asking her to come to Sapphire Springs she can’t imagine what is in store for her but after arriving the lawyer let’s her know she’s inherited an old family home from a long lost relative of her mother’s.
Since Faith is not used to staying in one place she agrees to meet with an interested buyer that has been in contact with the lawyer, Rob Milan. Rob is now a single father looking for a wonderful home to share with his two children now that he is divorced. Rob’s ex wife had cheated with his best friend so Rob certainly wasn’t looking for another relationship but when Faith refuses to sell her inheritance Rob ends up working for her to restore the home and the two can’t deny their attraction.
I have followed the Sapphire Springs series from the beginning and had really enjoyed the first two books of the series so I was not surprised to find myself easily slipping right back into the quaint town again with this new couple. Enemies to lovers isn’t always my favorite trope due to some authors going a bit too far to making the characters enemies and making them simply unlikable but Faith and Rob were immediately easy to like and want to root for. I also do love when kids are involved and this had some really cute moments with them too so this turned out to be a great addition to a series I’d already come to love.
I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley.
This is a Romance with a small Mystery throw in, and this is the third book in the Sapphire Springs series. I have not read the first two books in this book series. This book took a little bit to get going, but once it was going I was pulled into the story. I love the characters, and I love the family history mystery parts. The romance was really good, but I think all the drama in this book took over the romance parts. The story line/plot was so great. I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher (Forever) or author (Barb Curtis) via NetGalley, so I can give an honest review about how I feel about this book. I want to send a big Thank you to them for that.
How FALLING FOR YOU is only the third novel by Barb Curtis is beyond me! Faith has just returned from a retreat and finds out she is homeless. At almost the same time, she receives A call from a lawyer in Sapphire Springs letting her know her estranged uncle has died and left her a family mansion. So Faith heads to Sapphire Springs so check out the mansion. All Faith wants to do is have the chance to prove to her dad that she is capable of renovating the beautiful house. Faith doesn’t know if she will be staying in Sapphire Springs, but wants to prove to her dad that she has changed and is not the flighty kid he thinks she is! Ha! Hang on to your seats people. You know how this is going to go right?
Rob has had a rough year. First he caught his wife cheating with their boss, which leads to him losing his job and getting divorced. Now he is trying to rebuild his life. Rob is trying to move on from his divorce and keep his girls with some sort of routine. His ex wife does not help with that as she is always changing his time with them or threatening to sue him for full custody if he doesn’t straighten up. Then he meets Faith. She hires Rob to do renovations on her house. FALLING FOR YOU throws the reader for a loop when secrets come out. Faith finds a box in the attic that opens up a whole can of worms and she wonders if she should try and solve the mystery or just ignore it. Against her father’s wishes, she decides to try to investigate what happened all those years ago. What could possible go wrong? All of Barb’s characters feel genuine and relatable and put your emotions on one heck of a roller coaster ride. As you are reading, you will find yourself cheering for all of them, praying they can work out their problems and be happy once again.
FALLING FOR YOU by Barb Curtis is the third book in the Sapphire Springs series and it is the perfect small town romance. I read it fairly quickly and I truly hope Ms. Curtis continues with this series. The romance that is growing between Rob and Faith is not rushed. They take their time to work through their problems and find themselves falling for each other. It is a sweet romance with wonderful secondary characters and the troubles they are facing are realistic. FALLING FOR YOU had me flipping pages like mad, grinning endlessly and laughing and giggling out-loud more times than I could count! It is insanely well-written. Barb Curtis has an absolute gift with words and I still can’t believe this is only her third novel. Her writing style is so effortless, you feel like you are right in the head of the main characters.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from Forever and Grand Central Publishing. All opinions expressed are my own and were voluntarily given.
I received this book for free, this does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
She'd been rendered homeless and inherited a freaking house in the same day.
A yoga instructor who travels around a lot to work corporate retreats, Faith finds that the buddy's apartment she planned to stay at after coming back from her latest job, has skipped out on paying the rent and she's locked out. However, after checking her phone messages, she gets a call from a lawyer from her mother's hometown. Losing her mother to a car accident when she was younger, her father moved them away and didn't talk about her mother because of how painful it was, Faith has never felt like she had a connection to that side of her. So when Faith is sitting in the meeting with the lawyer and learns that her uncle left her the Victorian family house, she's shocked but feels an instant connection with the house her mother grew-up in, even if it needs a ton of work. Rob is a couple months divorced and looking to get his life back in order after losing his job because he punched his boss, the boss his wife had been cheating on him with for over a year. He's done with the anger management classes he had to take in order to get visitation with his two little girls and looking to solidify his custody rights. When the owner of the Victorian home he's dreamed of fixing up and living in with his daughters finally shows up, he's thrown by the instant attraction.
Faith Rotolo was invading his entire life, which both intrigued and infuriated him, depending on the day.
Falling For You is third in the Sapphire Falls series that previously starred Rob's sister paired with his bestfriend and two of their other friends coupled up. I started here and had no problem getting into the small town world. Faith and Rob have a bit of a non-meet-cute when they bump into each other when they're both stressed out but their attraction to each other gets going as soon as they're formally introduced. Both characters had a lot on their plates and it took until around 30% for their flirting to really get going. Faith has been divorced for five years and has given into her wanderlust with traveling for her job and since her mother's accident twenty-three years ago, hasn't had a supportive circle around her; her father loves her but remarried and is a busy doctor. Rob has a supportive circle of family and friends but his ex-wife obviously likes to be in control and is using the custody battle to pull his strings, this along with him deciding if he should leave his banking career behind and work construction for his uncle, has him dealing with a lot issues too. These were two busy characters that I thought had their romance detracted from a bit too much with all the other real world issues demanding their time.
“You matter to me,” he whispered.
The second half does have them together more, we get some kissing and a fade-to-black scene but then some family history and mystery from Faith's side comes into play. Her great-great grandfather was a gangster during prohibition times and her great grandmother had a love affair that went wrong and there's questions about what happened to her lover that Faith suddenly feels drawn to figuring out. This brings on a third act break-up scene that had the last ten percent finally making Faith and Rob decide what they want, Faith dealing with her insecurities if she's worth investing time in and Rob learning how to navigate the life he wants and still be able to have fifty-fifty custody of his daughters.
She could belong here.
If you're looking for a story with characters that have a very full plate, the custody battling, Faith dealing with the emotions of infertility and insecurity, and family history mystery, then this had all that and even more. I felt like the romance got drowned out too much for me and I started to feel like the story pace began to feel a little slow as it meandered away from the romance. If you're a reader of the series, past couples do make appearances here and you'd probably enjoy book one heroine's brother getting his happily ever after.
Falling for You by Barb Curtis is the third and last book in her popular Sapphire Springs series, but can easily be read as a stand-alone book. This small-town romance with opposites attracts trope also has a little bit of mystery to make this a very satisfying read.
Faith Rotolo is a yoga instructor who travels the world providing first-class yoga instruction to travelers. After returning from working at a remote location in Fiji, she finds out she has inherited a sprawling Victorian home in Sapphire Springs from an uncle she barely knew. Faith has no plans to ever settle down, but Sapphire Springs has a way of drawing her in.
Single father of two adorable girls, Rob Milan, is focused on providing a stable home for his girls in order to gain dual custody of them. Over a year ago, he caught his wife cheating on him with his boss. After punching his boss and undergoing anger management, Rob knows he has to keep his nose clean and stay out of trouble in order to gain custody of his girls.
The author has a knack for writing comforting small-town romances, and I really enjoyed my trip back to Sapphire Springs. I liked that this book has a bit of a mystery along with the romance and family drama. Faith and Rob are opposites as Faith is more of a free spirit, and Rob is rooted in numbers and logic, but their romance feels realistic and they balance each other out beautifully.
I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys romance and women’s fiction. I received a complimentary copy of this book. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
Faith is an independent young yoga instructor who has been teaching in Fiji and returns to Sapphire Springs as she inherits a home. She hires a local team to do repairs on her home and meets single father and nearly divorced Rob. Neither is ready to settle down and neither is looking for love.
Rob is very realistic and Faith is quite positive, a dreamer. They butt heads more than a little but they also connect in ways that neither expect.
This is the third novel in the Barb Curtis Sapphire Springs Series but can also be read as a stand alone novel. It is also one of my favorites. They just keep getting better and better (though I have loved them all). The storyline is wonderful and relatable as are the characters. The story is well-written and beautiful.
4.5/5 stars. Falling for You is the third and final book in the Sapphire Springs series. They are a set of companion novels, and if you haven't read the first two, you don't need to for understanding what is happening in this book. I have read the other two, and I highly recommend them as they are just as awesome as this one!
This is a small town, closed door romance that Barb Curtis does so well. Faith and Rob, the two main characters are so well developed in this book. You see Faith, wanting to find "home" and finding friends and comfort in the small town of Sapphire Springs. I loved the friendships she developed with characters, including quirky Hazel of the yoga shop. I really felt for Rob in this book. He seems to be down on his luck and a bit lost. I loved his relationship with his two daughters, and I also like how the author wrote them into the story.
I like how Barb Curtis wrote Faith and Rob coming together and how, though they are both not in the place to be in a relationship, they discover that love comes when you are least expecting it. I also like how the book is told from both Faith and Rob's perspectives, which allows you to see the emotions that both are feeling around the new relationship and the other things happening in their lives.
This book is different than the previous novels, as it isn't just a straight up romance, but has a bit of a mystery to it. Faith inherited her house and her and Rob get wrapped up in a bit of a mystery about her family's history, which added to this story.
Falling for You is a charming romance that I really enjoyed. Barb Curtis is an auto-read author for me and I can't wait to see what she comes out with next. Thank you to NetGalley and Forever publising for an advance copy of this book in exchange for an open and honest review. All opinions are 100% mine.
Lovely small town romance. Faith Rotolo returns from teaching yoga in Fiji wondering where life will take her next. Since her divorce five years earlier she has moved around with her yoga career and not set down roots. An unexpected inheritance of her mother's family home brings her to Sapphire Springs. There she is welcomed to town by an old friend of her mothers who offers her a job and befriended by equally warm people. On day one she meets a single father of two little girls, Rob Milan. He is having a rough year; catching his wife cheating, losing his job, divorcing and trying to rebuild his life. He is now working construction for his uncle who Faith hires to refurbish her family home.
This is a realistic fiction romance of meeting someone when both of your lives aren't quite settled. Faith isn't sure where she fits and Rob focus is on trying to recover from divorce and dealing with custody issues involving his girls. It has some drama but both want the best for each other. There is also a side mystery story involving the house and Faith's great grandmother which didn't really intrigue me. I enjoyed the story and zipped through it in an afternoon.
This is the third in the Sapphire Springs series but I read it easily as a stand alone. And luckily for me my daughter actually owns/has the first two books in the series so I can easily catch up. I would definitely read this author again and will look for future books. This is a contemporary romance with minimal language and intimacy off the page. Thank you to NetGalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for the ARC.
Barb Curtis is my go-to for small town, closed door romances! Generally, I like my romances to be super steamy, but Barb Curtis makes me enjoy closed door romances every time! I love this series of hers and to see the past characters making an appearance in this book.
Faith has found out that she's inherited a mansion in Sapphire Springs when she gets a call from a lawyer one day. She goes with the intention of selling the place, only to be drawn to it and prolonging her stay. She's never belonged anywhere before, and since this house is from her mother's side of the family, she can feel her presence at the mansion and is urged to keep it. Rob has been wanting to buy the mansion for a long time for him and his daughters to have a beautiful place to live in, but finding out that Faith is now the owner, he decides to help her clean the place up and make it like it's hay-day, finding out how much they like each other along the way.
This book is unique compared to the others as it has a mystery element in the house that coincides with Faith's ancestors. Rob and Faith discover different journals and old documents in the house and try to find out the truth behind certain events that occurred long ago.
This is perfect for my small-town lover friends, this whole series is! You won't be disappointed by this series and the characters!❤
Thank you to Netgalley and Forever Pub for the earc in return for an honest review.
Faith Rotolo thinks her luck has run out when she gets a call from an attorney in Sapphire Springs. Her distant uncle has died and left her a historic mansion, Romano Estate. Faith has never been one to put down roots, but without other options, she moves to the small town. Rob Milan has always wanted to buy Romano Estate and fix it up for his two daughters. He thinks his dream is finally within his reach, only to find out Faith, an outsider, has no plans to sell.
Rob is Leyna’s sister from the first book in the series. He has recently gotten divorced after catching his wife cheating on him with their boss, Marcus. Caught in a fit of rage, he punches Marcus and ends up complicating his custody agreement with his wife. Now, Rob has done everything in his power to get his daughters back. It is his top priority. Rob is a great dad.
Faith is a newcomer to the series. After she inherits a historical home from a distant relative, she moves to Sapphire Springs. She sets her sights on restoring the property and expanding the town’s yoga studio. I loved watching her figure out what she wanted for her life.
In addition to the romance, I loved the 1920s historical history of the house: Romano Estate. Owned by famous rum runner, Rocky Romano, the house has been in Faith’s family for a hundred years. While exploring the house Faith finds a mysterious key and a series of journals written by a woman named Ella, Rocky Romano’s daughter. Faith and Rob try to piece together the love story in the journals and the mystery of what happened to Ella and her lover, James.
Thank you to Forever and Netgalley for the review copy! All opinions are my own.
This was the third book in the Sapphire Springs series, but it could easily be read as a stand alone. The book starts when yoga instructor Faith returns from a retreat in Fiji to find out she is homeless and has nowhere to go. Minutes after discovering that she gets a call that she has inherited something from a distant relative in the town of Sapphire Springs and it turns out to be a family home. While in town trying to figure out what to do with her life and her inheritance she keeps bumping into a handsome guy, who turns out to be interested in trying to buy her family home. Sparks fly every time they are near, though both are uninterested in a relationship as they were both hurt quite deeply in a divorce. In addition to this storyline is a family mystery that Faith works to uncover as she digs through the family home. I enjoyed getting to hear updates on other characters in Sapphire Springs from previous books. I’m sad to learn this is the last book in the series as there are so many interesting characters I would have loved to see get their own book. Another great book by Barb Curtis, I look forward to seeing what she writes next! I received an ARC from netgalley, and this is my honest review.
3.5 Stars The first two of Barb's small town sweet romances in this series are what I expect out of the trope: a comfort read that I want to relax with on a cold day with a warm drink and blanket. While this one was harder for me to get into, I enjoyed going back to Sapphire Springs and the ending was satisfying. Rob's heartbreak witnessed though the eyes of his friends needed a turn around. He's lost too much and with a custody battle imminent, he's encouraged to hunker down, cool his jets, and avoid romantic relationships. Into his life waltzes Faith. She's not out to commit to a place to live permanently, let alone a new man. I think Faith's lack of focus made it hard to relate to her. She seemed to have her hands in all the pies but little drive to see something through. Her interactions with Hazel, Emily, Leyna, and Rob's daughters made her more accessible. I'm interested to see what Barb writes next. I think she's great with harmonizing chemistry and a believable relationship arc. Thank you to Forever and NetGalley for the advanced copy. All thoughts in this review are my own.
Falling for You is a bighearted, uplifting tale that takes you into the lives of two main characters. Faith, a young woman who is thoughtful and hardworking but never tends to stay in one place for too long, and Rob, a loving father who is struggling to correct his image, obtain visitation, and create a solid foundation to raise his two girls.
The writing is charming and light. The characters are layered, supportive, and fun-loving. And the plot is the perfect combination of family, friendship, temptation, desire, tender moments, tricky situations, light drama, community, introspection, and new beginnings.
Overall, Falling for You is another heartwarming, cosy, swoony addition to the Sapphire Springs series that I am so bummed has come to an end. It has been one of my favourite series since the first book was published in the fall of 2020, and all I can say is Barb Curtis, I hope you’re already writing another fabulous series as otherwise, I will be terribly blue.
Thank you to Forever & Grand Central Publishing for gifting me a copy in exchange for an honest review.
I absolutely loved this entire series! Falling for You was a fantastic addition. Faith and Rob make a great "opposites attract" couple that started out contentious and then blossomed beautifully. This third installment also had a thread of mystery to it and I was so intrigued. It was great to visit Leyna and Jay and Emily and Tim again, as well as the charming town of Sapphire Springs in general. Truly a humorous, romantic, and page-turning contemporary romance series that I recommend wholeheartedly! (And those covers are GORGEOUS.)
Thank you to Forever and Netgalley for my complimentary ARC. All opinions are my own.
Book 3 in the series and a wonderful addition! I loved reuniting with the characters from the previous book, as I've grown invested in their stories. The small town is quaint and brimming with charming characters. I thoroughly enjoyed this addition to the series! The single dad storyline was well executed and Faith's character development well written. I loved it!
Barb Curtis pairs grouchy contractor Rob Milan and free spirted yoga instructor Faith Rotolo in Falling For You. I have enjoyed each one of the Sapphire Springs books and have been waiting patiently for Rob’s story—and it was FABULOUS!!!! Rob Milan’s story has been brewing since he was introduced in Forever With You. His world was turned upside down in Only For You when his marriage imploded. Even though he was the primary parent, one impulsive act may cost him custody of his daughters. Rob’s character was well developed and his journey to rebuild his life and career was not easy. Barb Curtis does a fabulous job describing the impact of divorce from Rob’ perspective – he’s hit rock bottom-he’s lost his job, his family and self-esteem. Faith Rotolo returned from a yoga retreat in Fiji and learns she has inherited a historic house in Sapphire Springs. Faith considers selling the house as it needs to be restored from top to bottom. She visits the home and feels connected to the run down mansion because her mother lived there Faith hires Rob to restore the Romano Estate. Rob and Faith work together on the house project and they uncover a set of journals which appeal to Rob’s love of history and Faith’s desire to know more about her family. Their romance develops as they read the journals and are transported back in time—loved that this book had two love stories. I adored Faith and Rob and rooted for their romance—there were so many obstacles and so many hoops for this couple to jump through! I liked that Faith and Rob supported each other and Faith understood that Rob’s daughters came first. Each of the secondary characters: Issey, Hazel, Tim, Emily, Jay and Layna added depth and drama to the storyline. Loved that both Faith and Rob wanted to build a life together—in Sapphire Springs, in her family’s house which was now their home. Faith and Rob’s story will tug at your heartstrings. I was invested in their story from the first page of the novel. Thank you Barb Curtis for a fantastic read—am definitely looking forward to your next book!
I have really enjoyed reading this series in Sapphire Springs! I'm sad to say goodbye to the characters (I think!) but excited to read whatever Barb Curtis writes next.
In this third book in the trilogy, it was extremely easy to sink into a story of a not-yet-ready-to-settle woman who inherits a desireable historic mansion in Sapphire Springs and begins to discover a decades-old mystery about her ancestors. She runs into Rob, a newly single dad and brother to a character from the first book in this series. Rob wants the house Faith has inherited, but he decides to settle for working on its renovation.
There was a lot to enjoy in this story - friendships, business connections, adorable children, yoga, a fun doggy, good food, and the aforementioned brief historical/family mystery. There are some heightened emotions around Rob's custody battle/divorce as well as Faith's family history and connection to Sapphire Springs. I had no problem sitting with this and spending time with these characters - it was time well spent.
Thank you to Forever for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Barb Curtis has become one of my favorite closed-door romance authors over the last few years, and I'm so sad to see this series come to a close! In this story, yoga instructor Faith finds out she inherits a large old house from a long-lost relative, so she relocates to Sapphire Springs, her deceased mother's home town. She soon connects with newly minted carpenter and single dad of two, Rob, who is going through a messy custody battle but has an undeniable connection with Faith.
I really enjoyed this book, though not quite as much as the previous two novels in this series. I don't particularly enjoy reading about custody battles and could have done without that aspect, though it is relatively essential to the plot. Faith is also just not really a character I relate much to, with her vagabond nature. So in the end, my only criticisms are personal preferences and would not necessarily apply to every reader. The book has good bones with solid plotting and prose, and I think fans of the first two books in the series will be satisfies with the conclusion.
Thanks to Forever for my eARC and finished copy! All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Faith Rotolo, a yoga instructor just returned to the States to find out she was evicted and minutes later, discovers she inherited a historic mansion in Sapphire Springs. Faith has never thought of settling down in one place as she’s constantly on the go however, small town life is slowly growing on her as she works on her fixer upper with Rob Milan. Rob is a single father going through a rough patch when Faith waltzes into town. The two naturally butt heads as she’s always in a good mood and he’s not… The longer the two work on her house, the more they realize there could be something between them.
Rob and Faith’s story is my favourite, I think it was the perfect way to end this series. Falling for You is a heartwarming and cozy romance with a neat small-town mystery thrown in. I love the characters (except for one, if you read it, you know who I’m referring to), the friendships are genuine, supportive, and full of fun. The story is well written with just enough romance, drama, house reno talk and mystery that I found it balanced perfectly. Barb’s descriptions of Sapphire Springs sounds heavenly, the perfect little town with so much to offer.
Thank you to Forever, NetGalley, and the author for the gifted ARC of Falling For You! All opinions in this review are my own.

REVIEW
I have loved the Sapphire Springs series so reading the third and final book, Falling For You, was bittersweet. Through the first two books, we have seen Rob's struggles as his marriage starts to fall apart so I loved being able to read a story when he finds happiness. I really liked him and Faith together and loved the added mystery of the old house. I will be recommending this series forever!
Thank you NetGalley, Barb Curtis and Forever Publishing for the ARC of Falling for You. This is my personal review. This is the third book in the Sapphire Springs Series. Each book can be read as a standalone. Reading each if them will give you a wonderful look into the town of Sapphire Springs. Faith returns from a retreat in Fiji to find she is homeless but within just minutes a phone call tells her she has inherited something in Sapphire Springs from a distant relative. She finds out it was a family home. The place needs work and she wants to bring it back to they way it was. She hires Rob as the contractor, and it isn’t long before sparks fly between the two. The chemistry between these two is amazing and I could just feel it as I was reading. This is a fantastic addition to the Sapphire Springs series.
Romance and renovation are the themes of Falling for You, a charming story with a touch of mystery. Yoga teacher Faith has no plans for her future but dreams of opening her own studio and selling her hand crated lotions and tinctures. Hunky former banker Rob wants to be a restoration carpenter but is caught in a morass of divorce, child custody and self pity. So, when Faith inherits a historic, rundown house in her late mother’s hometown, who else should she hire to renovate it? Sparks fly between the two but there will be setbacks. Add in a decades old ill fated romance and you have an enjoyable, satisfying escapist read. Barb Curtis delivers a small town full of memorable characters, a familiar plot turned unique and a house that is begging for a family. 5 stars.
Thank yo to NetGalley, Forever (Grand Central Publishing) and Barb Curtis for this ARC.
Faith Rotolo was out of the country, teaching at a yoga retreat and when she come back, it's to learn she's been evicted from her house (hello unreliable ex-boyfriend) and a lawyer has been trying to reach her. Why, she wonder? Well, if Faith was a romance bookworm, she would have guessed she inherited a Victorian house from a great uncle she only met once or twice😉. And she would know that even if she doesn't plan to stay and will leave once the property is sold, she'd find love with the freshly divorced and single dad contractor she hired to renovate the property.
Another good romance bloomed in Sapphire Springs and I loved how Faith and Rob were there for each other for every single steps.
Falling for You draws a curtain on the cozy community of Sapphire Springs. I hate that I won’t get to visit it anymore since it’s been a great place to escape reality. Curtis wrote a great story and ending for the series. I liked how Rob was renovating the huge house Faith inherited. The attraction is instant, but for many reasons they are reluctant to act upon the spark. One person whom I wish was dealt with more severely is Issey, Rob’s ex. The stunts she pulled made my blood boil. She’s so sanctimoniousness and self righteous for being a complete hypocrite. Get this book as soon as you can! Thanks to Forever and NetGalley for the early copy.
Thank you @readforeverpub and @netgalley for a copy of Falling for You. I love this series and bummed this is the end of it. The small lakeside town in Canada sounds so beautiful and I love the people in this town.
I love that both Faith and Rob were both at crossroads with their life. Faith, on where to go next and Rob, custody battle with his ex wife. I love how they worked on the house together and got to know each other better during these interactions.
Single dad, yoga teacher, two kids and a dog- all you need! This one is an opposite attraction with sunshine and grumpy. With some fun 1920’s mystery and family drama that makes a great side story with this one. They are both at a crossroad with her inheriting and moving to a small town and Rob trying to get his life back on track with his girls. These have chemistry from the start, even if it's the opposite clashing it comes to sparks. We get some cute sites stories and the girls to wrap it all up.
Enjoyed this great Canadian smalltown series. ENjoyed we got a little history and mystery with this one! Closed door steam
Falling for You is the last book in the Sapphire Springs trilogy. I will say this is my least favorite of the trilogy, but that doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it. There was something about the pairing of Faith and Rob that didn't make me rush to pick up this romance like the others. I did like that we got to see the other pairings from the two previous novels. You really do see how interconnected all of the characters in this small, cozy town are. I would like to see more from Barb Curtis in the future so I hope this trilogy isn't the last we see from her writing.
I was not a super big fan of Rob’s wife in the first books in this series, so it was fun to see him get a well-deserved HEA. The romance is super slow burn, but that allows the relationship to develop. The prohibition gangster story is an interesting aside, but detracts a bit from the relationships. 3.5 stars
I have really enjoyed Barb Curtis’s Sapphire Springs series. The small town romance series was so delightful and I’m a little sad Falling for You is the final book in the series. It was a lovely finale and I really liked hanging out with all the characters Curtis created. I’ll miss them!
I had a feeling, especially when reading the second book in the series, that this third novel would feature Rob, Leyna’s brother (her story is in the first book) and I gotta say…I wasn’t sure how it was going to go. I knew about his background – he had punched the man his wife was having an affair with and was dealing with troublesome custody issues when he had been the main parent of his two girls during his marriage. I knew he wasn’t a violent man and I could understand why he did what he did but I still had a tough time getting on board. It was like it was unnecessary drama and his story could have been different and still gotten a similar vibe. It was a lot to overcome and I don’t think I quite accomplished it.
That said…I was HERE for the love story. I was rooting for Faith and Rob because they were so right for each other. I also really liked that they got off on the wrong foot multiple times – before they settled into a friendship (that turned into more). It was a bit like an opposites attract with a dash of enemies to lovers (but not true enemies so I was good with it). Their relationship, with all the ups and downs, really was lovely to read and I was so pleased with their HEA.
The history mystery (rhyme intended) in this story was so intriguing. Faith doesn’t know much about her family’s past and she’s surprised by what she uncovers. I just recently read a historical fiction novel that took place during Prohibition so it was fun to read a romance that referenced it as well. It was a really lovely side story and I enjoyed it so much. I don’t want to say too much about it though because it’ll be more enjoyable for you to unravel the mystery right alongside Faith and Rob.
I had a lovely time reading Falling for You and thought it was a great final book in Barb Curtis’s Sapphire Springs series. I’m sad to say goodbye to this wonderful town and characters but I’m really looking forward to what Curtis writes next!
