Alison is brilliant, kind and hard-working. Her genes will mesh perfectly with his. And it doesn’t hurt that he’s spent the last year fantasizing about taking her to his bed and doing all kinds of deliciously wicked things to her.
Alison can’t believe that her boss wants her to have his kid and that he wants to do it the old-fashioned way. She can’t imagine having sex with him. He’s Harker. Sure he’s kind of sexy in a dark, brooding way and when he barks orders her body naturally responds, but still…sex with Harker?
She can’t do that, or can she? His offer is hard to refuse and she’d only have to be with him until she got pregnant. It shouldn’t take long, right?
I like the LaPetite Mort series, but the Billionaire's Baby was too repetitious to get through. Harker wants a life and a baby with Alison, but can't express himself or doesn't know how to go through normal steps to get what he wants. He is so used to negotiating or getting let down that the only way he knows how to achieve what he wants is in a business like manner. I felt sorry for him and wanted him to succeed. Unfortunately, Alison was annoying and I started skipping through the chatter. Her constant bickering and immaturity got old.
The Baby Bargain I won’t sugar coat this: Harker is a jerk. And by calling him only a jerk, I’m being much kinder to him than he deserves. There are hints that there’s a heart hidden behind his robotic business exterior, but we don’t get to see him using it in this book. On the other side of that coin, Alison is all heart. Her passion for her work and for caring for her family are clear to see on every page. Her self-doubts about her appearance and desirability broke my heart. The author is going to have an uphill battle, as we get deeper into the series, convincing me to forgive Harker for his mistakes. Making the Baby Harker is a really tough character to like. Though, we learn a lot of the reasons why he’s closed himself off so tightly and I’m not surprised he’s a little bitter about love. I now have a much better understanding of what makes him tick. However, I’m still one hundred percent team Alison at this point. The competitive natures of this pair seem to regularly get the better of them. Incidents and disagreements that could have had simple solutions if they’d been handled by more level-headed people spiral into all out wars. I’m both fascinated and terrified to see where this latest difference of opinion is going to land them. The Baby Battle Oh Harker. Sigh! He has the emotional sensitivity of a rutabaga. I’m still Team Alison all the way, but I’m starting to see the cracks in his defenses that let me understand why he’s so committed to doing all the wrong things with Alison. I want to hug him almost as much as I want to smack some sense into him. I loved seeing Alison stand up for herself and what she needed out of this relationship. It just broke my heart where these two had to get to before they realized it. Having the Baby Harker and Alison still frustrated the living daylights out of me, but finally they’re able to communicate their true feelings and needs in a way that the other is able to hear and understand. It’s that understanding part that really tripped them up. They were both so caught up in their heads in their beliefs of what their relationship was and wasn’t that they had both gotten so invested in being right and winning. In the previous books I was all in with Team Alison, but after getting hit with a couple of the truths her family laid on her here, I was a lot more Team Harker than I had ever been. This is the ending I needed to this series. I received a complimentary copy of this book through Booksprout.
Not easy to put down steamy battle of wills in 4 books. Ellis O. Day is without a doubt an absolute master of erotic writing. The author’s scene descriptions and dialogues, at times are although ‘risqué’, nevertheless were context-appropriate, sexy, and entertaining. I have read several of Elli’s novels/series and have always found the characters well developed, described, and likeable. In this book, Alison and Harker battle it out, putting their determination, the full force of their personalities, their wit and competitive spirit to the test. Harker is practically an orphan and his childhood traumas of being rejected, neglected, and abandoned had left tremendous scars on his attitude, his inability to commit to others, lead to him becoming totally self-reliant, mistrustful, and generally allowing his entire personality to be affected by his past, quite to his detriment. Underneath all the unfailing confidence he projects, there lies a quite pathetic little boy, who has never learned to love as he was never shown any positive emotional reinforcement. Alison’s character annoyed me to no end. Being intelligent, and hardworking although to a degree compensate for her overbearing competitiveness, I felt it was overdone and the episodes were unduly lengthened as a result with no additional benefit to the storyline. Some scenes from La Petite Mort Club were nicely woven into the story. Neither Alison nor Harker is able to give an inch, both of them have to be right always. In the end, although Harker is by no means an angel, Alison's headstrong stance nearly destroys their chance for happiness. There was a multitude of tension points throughout the 4 books, which were well handled but at times I felt they were too long and did not add enough to the overall message. Harker’s desperate need to create a family of his own is achieved in the end in a HEA, which often looked doubtful. The good use of language, vocabulary, easy-flowing writing style and competent editing all contributed to the positive experience. I am happy to recommend this box set, which is undoubtedly a substantial effort but it wasn’t my favourite.

I don't know what to make of the Baby Battle. It is everything I did not expect when Harker and Alison started this journey.
I don't even know this version of Alison and she doesn't seem all that intelligent to me. I'm sorry but as a mom - and I am not saying all moms are the same - but pregnancy hormones don't make you irrational for months. (I might need to research this)
YOU SIGNED A CONTRACT! Without reviewing it with a lawyer after being REPEATEDLY told to do so. By the same man that you are now saying you can't trust, at a time when he probably couldn't trust you either. Let's not forget that this man has serious issues. And you knew this as well.
I also would have walked out the door like Adrian and I don't know Ellie's excuse because I want my friends to talk sense into me. Not join the circus going on in my head.
Of course, to fill the fact that there isn't much growth outside of what's happening in Alison's belly, we are bombarded with sex scene after sex scene. There is not a chapter without sex. Quick and fast. Long. Foreplay. Toys. All the sex.
It's just one book to go so might as well finish this series but I don't even really like Alison that much anymore and I just want the manipulative and straightforward Harker who was rude to those who deserved it and always spoke his mind.
Let the torture end!
--------------------- Having the baby
The torture has ended!
Alison does not deserve Harker.
At one point, I wanted a legal battle because it would be worth all this irrational behaviour from Alison. On the plus side, I got back some of that wit that Harker possesses. I LOVE watching him be a dad.
I actually wish more of this book was about him being a dad.
Either way, despite my dislike for the heroine, I loved Harker. I LOVE the guys at the club and I love Ellis O Day's writing. She makes me want to revisit the BDSM genre and I might be back at the club sooner rather than later.
Alison works for Harker, developing a facial recognition software program. She loves her work and spends practically all her time at the office with Harker, while he "barks" at her to work even harder...and longer hours.
Harker wants a child to eventually inherit his business and his considerable fortune. The mother must be someone very special, with intelligence the top consideration. He wants Alison to be that mother and makes her a "deal," laying out all the particulars in a contract. Harker is well-known for never losing, in life or in business, and believing him to be trustworthy, Alison doesn't have the contract reviewed by an attorney before signing it.
Thus begins the extremely steamy power struggle between the two, because Harker is determined to get his baby the old-fashioned way, even though he and Alison have always maintained a strict boss-employee relationship. This makes it very difficult for Alison to accept those terms, adding to her nervousness the fact that she considers herself somewhat naive in the bedroom. Harker, on the other hand, is well-versed on the bedroom arts, being a member of La Petit Morte Club.
Secretly, this "baby deal" isn't just a business deal to Harker, and although morally Alison cannot allow herself to catch feelings for Harker, it turns out not to be all that simple for either of them.
There's a lot of drama in this story, a little bit of humor, and lots and lots of heat. There are times when you might want to "bark" at Harker yourself, and even more times when you could bring Allison's neck, but over time, an HEA is ultimately achieved.
Well-developed story and characters. Highly recommend.
Harker wants a baby, a family, someone to love and love him back. Although he won't admit it, even to himself, he also wants Alison. He comes up with the brilliant idea of contracting Alison to have his baby, and when she agrees, with certain stipulations, they marry a week later. They get off to a rough start. Alison did not have an attorney look over the contract before she signed it, and when she finally does, she feels like a fool. She is furious. When she finds out she is pregnant, she finds herself wanting Harker constantly for sex, but not the meals they used to eat together, or the just being together. When the baby comes, Harker is in love, with baby Irene and Alison. Alison, however is done. She wants a divorce. Harker cannot bear to let her go. Will he lose her in the end? This box set is amazing! I snort laughed, and I actually cried near the end of the fourth book. Harker is comes off as cold and hard, but he's just a broken little boy deep down. Alison is quirky and smart, and just what he needs. She is also warm and generous, which is what makes him fall for her in the first place. Their HEA is very hard won, and so very sweet. If you have enjoyed the La Petite Mort Club series at all, you will love this. Each story runs into the next, so I'm so glad they were published here together. This five star read is one-click worthy.

Harker is wealthy, clever and highly competitive, but he had a miserable childhood. Allison is younger, also very clever, but her upbringing was happy. Sadly, aside from her intelligence, she doesn't think that she's attractive to men. When Harker employed her, he recognised that he wanted her and translated his need into a desire for progeny, and so the 'baby bargain' was initiated. In four parts, we read how Harker convinces her to bear his child, how their relationship develops, how it goes wrong, and finally how a stubborn, competitive couple overcome their respective issues to begin a proper romantic relationship. The protagonists are wonderful, these are complex characters and the reader wants to hit them both over the head, as they refuse to see what is in front of them. Other characters from La Petite Mort stories make an appearance, including Ethan in a sexy as hell threesome. Because this is Ellis O Day, the sex scenes are incredibly powerful and hot, but the books are filled with humour and decisive observations. Utterly Brilliant!
This series takes us on the journey of Harker wanting to have a child and how he goes about making that happen. Harker is grumpy and tends to bark at Alison rather than talking. Alison is his hard working employee who is also kind and intelligent. But things take a turn when he presents an offer to her - to have his baby and do it the old-fashioned way. Oh, and she needs to sign a contract – which she does without having a lawyer review it.
Needless to say, this leads to many interesting situations between the two of them. Plus Harker has a hard time admitting his emotions, let alone discussing them. Alison has her issues also, which she has a hard time realizing. Thankfully they have friends and family to help guide them, especially once Irene has been born. Many emotions are brought out through this storyline as well as humor being sprinkled in. I must say that I was miffed with Alison more so than Harker throughout the story. Thankfully they get their HEA.
This box set is the complete four book series of The Billionaire's Baby series by Ellis O. Day. This is the story of Alison and Harker. He is the CEO of the company where Alison works. Alison is a woman working on a program that will help children. Harker decides he wants a baby and the only woman he can see bearing his child is Alison. When Harker presents the offer to Alison she is reluctant but the offer that Harker makes her is very tempting but she refuses. I enjoyed the witty/snarky banter between Alison and Harker. They have an interesting relationship that will make you laugh but at times you just want to smack them both on the back of their heads. I really enjoyed this box set and recommend it for your library.

The Billionaire's Baby Box Set - One baby contract with more than a few interesting clauses
*** 4 1/2 Stars ***
The Billionaire's Baby Box Set contains the 4 books of this series which are all about Alison and Harker - 1 .The Baby Bargain 2. Making the Baby 3. The Baby Battle 4. Having the Baby
I have already reviewed each of these books and really enjoyed the series. I was of two minds when I finished the first book, as I was not sure if Harker could redeem himself since he was such an a$$. I really loved Alison as she is intelligent, has a spirit and is willing to give it back to Harker every time he gets out of line. This series had me laughing, blushing and falling for this couple. Be warned that the first three books end with a cliffhanger but it is so worth it.
What a great read, it was full of emotions. It was that good it had me laughing but also in places I did cry, which for me is very usual. It just shows how well written this book is. I really couldn't put it down, I really needed to keep reading to find out what was next. I thought this book was going to take a while I was so wrong, it was easy to read and flowed well. The characters were brilliant and perfect for each other Alison and Harker were so alike. They were both stubborn and competitive but still got on well. Great book, highly recommend.

WOW!!! This series has it ALL...laugh out loud moments & little chuckle times. It has a lot of angst and heartfelt scenes where it brings tears to your eyes. Although Alison was highly intelligent she had self confidence issues that caused her to misinterpret Harker's actions. Harker was so broken by his childhood that he possessed extreme trust issues. Both loved strong, hard and deep, but communicating to each other kept getting in the way. This author was new to me this year & I've tried to read everything available hoping new publications come soon. Grab the bundles to get a mini series and whole story of each couple portrayed (Reviewed by Lin!
This new series by Ellis is such fun! I almost read non-stop through the entire series. Picture it. Wooden spoon in one hand, stirring pasta sauce; Kindle in other hand. Toothbrush in one hand; Kindle in other. You get the idea. I didn’t try to do that while I was driving, though.
Allison is a sweet, big-hearted person, and has spent many hours of work overtime developing a computer app for Harker’s business. As the boss, Harker is uber-focused on personal success in all things, and more than a little arrogant. He offers her a deal to have his baby. She signs on the dotted line. Overall, they’re kind of opposites. But in one way, they’re perfectly alike: neither will give in to the other if they think it means losing. But that is what makes this story so great. These two can’t resist battling each other for supremacy. It makes them such fun to read. And they also can’t resist each other in bed. So. dam. hawtt.
The author composed plenty of humorous situations for the pair, too. I love humor in a romance story, and Ellis is so talented at that. My favorite was a very preggo Allison “power-waddling” through a grocery store, piling their cart up with jalapeno cheese, Pop-Tarts, and eating cold sauerkraut straight from the jar. So, if you love humor and angst; and going from endless arguments to never-ending ardor, you will love this series, The Billionaire’s Baby. 5 Stars.
This story made me sad for this couple as the story progressed and became even sadder while the sex got hotter ti the point of scorching. Then it became human and real and touched my heart while the sex became absolutely burning. I didn’t want to review the story because it was as good as I expected. But the story made me feel all the things I mentioned and the sex was unbelievable Ellis I Day never disappoints…..
Alison and her mind nearly drove ME crazy! Harker did not help matters. Enjoyed the book. Did not care for the last book in the series. I always think they are way too short. Would liked to have known a second baby was on the way. Good storyline and love those characters!!
I enjoyed this book and the entire series. However, I never would have started it if I know that I would have to buy the others. I pay for Kindle Unlimited and don't think you should have to pay for the books. I won't be reading any others by this author for just that reason.
The story of Alison and Harker, what a love journey. They loved each other but were too stubborn to admit it. Their trip to love was filled with arguments, strife and challenges. Both always trying to "top" each other. They are so alike which made for a very interesting struggle. But in the end, love won out.
It was a well written series but once I got to the last book I was over it. It got annoying hearing Alison whine nonstop. And Harked was trying so hard but yet it was never enough. I had to skim past the end of the book i just couldn’t take it anymore.
What a roller coaster ride. A bit dark but not enough for my taste. There was sadness, laughter, anger, and small romantic times. Barker is not romantic until he is. Touching story, glad I read it
I absolutely love Alison & Harker. It was super hard to put down. I highly recommend buying the box set as you'll constantly be left hanging!! I wish that we'd been tuned into Harker's true intent from early on.
Of all the books by this author, I think this couple seemed the least likely to get their happy ending. But their strife comes with everything great about a tortured love story. Enjoy the laughs, tears, despair, and joy of their spicy journey.
I like when I can get the complete series and read one right after another. These two are so good together yet both have insecurities that caused lots of problems for them and finally they through those insecurities and are now blissfully happy!!
Overall enjoyed the series. She is younger and her immaturity in scenes showed. He was patient with her and they ended up with their HEA. I like his complicated history and how he evolved. Some intense bedroom scenes.
I like these books about petite Mort. I do think these four books could have been condensed into three easily. But other than that I think they're great.
Loved this series! Could not wait to read each book. Highly recommend to anyone who like sexy alphas and watching (reading) the characters each get what they want.
