She is his past. He is her future. Since childhood, Quinn has been surrounded by three great guys: a best friend, an ex, and the one she holds forbidden feelings for. She knows they will go to any lengths to avenge her. After all, who better to have at your side than a Devil?
But what will happen when her darkest secret is finally revealed?
For what she wants, she cannot have. What she desires, she cannot take. And what she loves, she lost the right to claim. It's too late for her battered heart, because she knows without a shadow of a doubt that Gray Santo doesn't believe in second chances.
Gray took Quinn's presence in his life for granted. After all, she's always been there. He believed she was the one girl he could always have—until she chose another. Although almost two years have passed since she walked away from him, he will do anything to help Quinn get retribution for a grievous wrong.
Tired of living in his twin brother's shadow and after being cast aside for his cousin, Gray isn't interested in coming in last place again. The days of looking back are over.
Or so he thought.
Quinn’s making it impossible for him to ignore her. She needs Gray to remember he once loved her. Because this time around, the stakes are too high for him to forget.
The odds are against them, but the only way to win…is to play the game.
Three guys, three girls, one game. The Devils are back. Are you ready?

Being an avid reader from a young age, Eve still considers herself to be a reader first. Ruthless Desire by Eve L. Mitchell is the second book in the Ruthless Devils series, and a beautifully written love story between Gray and Quinn, and one that showed true progression from childhood friends to lovers to enemies to lovers once more.
From the prologue you’ll be hooked, and for me I felt like this answered a lot of the backstory about Quinn and the Santos guys' relationship which I was curious about from Book 1, Ruthless Heart.
Quinn’s story is heartbreaking to read, but as a character her determination to get over her past shines through - she is in no way weak. Unfortunately the Santos won’t let Quinn forget, and her relationship with Gray is like a battle. Neither will allow the other victory, when together they both could win.
The moments of care and thought that Gray has to situations, softens his character at that particular time, but doesn’t stop you thinking he’s going to crush you and tear the world apart, with his fierceness and arrogant attitude. You don’t want to be on the receiving end of anything Gray!
Quinn and Gray are like no other couple you will read. EVER. They have so much history and such a deep connection that the dual POV’s are instrumental in understanding all that needs to be told. Their love is like no other, and the chemistry is off the charts.
The amount of times I cried is almost ridiculous, but that in itself shows just how deep the emotions are throughout the story, and this is what I love as a reader. Especially when the author can seamlessly make the characters come alive off the page and you feel so deeply through each moment of the story, and experiencing all that the characters have to tell.
I have such high anticipation for what’s still to come and how the Devils and their women’s story will conclude. I absolutely loved the way Ruthless Desire ended, as it left me wanting more, but at the same time, I was completely satisfied with how Quinn and Gray’s story finished.
Holy frick- i was hooked from the beginning of book 1, i totally fell in love with Jett and Ava's story. I was unsure how Gray and Queeny 😉 could top them...
******huge sigh*****
Yeah well Eve blew me away- i thought book 1 was full of Raw emotions, passion and tensions but Quinns story was brutal 😭 all the way through i was either laughing, crying or shouting at characters. I loved how all the characters from book 1 were involved and were there for eachother.... The conflict and back and forth 😶
Those Santos boys are complete Alpha-holes 😍 thats for sure. (who doesnt love an Alpha-hole 😉)
Again, that ending and epilogue 🤯🤯🤯 Well played 👏
My Fave Santo was no.8 but after reading this No.22 is def for me...
Gray is mine i bagsy him 🙋♀️
I would give more than 5stars if i could. Nothing negative i can think of for this book. Roll on book 3....
I was hooked to this series after the first book and that has not changed with this book. The Devils are total Alphaholes and I am in love with them! This is Gray and Quinn’s book and I did not want it to end. They have this back and forth where you’re not sure if they are going to kill each other or kiss and then so much more. They are fire and ice abs when they get together it’s is steamy. This book had me laughing and crying and then yelling at the characters . Quinns story is devastating yet and I want to jump in and hug here. Eve L. Mitchell’s characters are always brilliantly written and this book is no exception.
This book was charged with so many emotions and some reckless decisions. We finally understood what the deal of the trio with Queen is. We got an inside look into theirs relationships, and it was something very very interesting and explosive.. and for some, compulsive barreling on obsessive. But still beautiful in some ways. Boys got themselves into quite lots of troubles, stupidly to be honest. Queen’s story was not easy to tell, sure it could have been worse, but all the troubles come from there. Ok.. there and the reckless actions of devil’s boys. And can’t understand truly Onyx’s aversion, there must be something more to it, however I quite hate him, even if he helped, I just wish to could beat the hell out of him. And then probably I would like to slap some reasons into Grey. Scold Jett for just being there, and honestly would probably jump on Ash to tell him to just get over it and act as a man. Then I will finish by taking Queen on lunch and point to her she made some mistakes, she should have raised her head, faced it and just simply talk to boys directly, because she put them in troubles by not doing so. Ah and of course I would ask Mia what was she thinking. Only person I like here today is Ava 🤣. It was frustrating and infuriating story for me. But, as always with Eve L Mitchell, it was written brilliantly and kept you reading past sleeping time because you was just so engrossed in story it was impossible to put it down. Amazing story with lots of young angst, young stupid decisions took in the heat of the young heads and young love. Ah.. and of course some steamy scenes. It was accurate reactions for the age of the characters. And they are very unique characters, with fully set past, with evolution and huge fan of emotions and type of comportements. They are all well alive in my head. And even if the story infuriated me, I would not change a single word of it, because in some way it makes it more realistic.
“There’s a thin line, they say, between love and hate. Some days, I’m on one side; some days, on the other, but every day, it doesn’t matter which side I’m on, all that matters is you.” Gray
Gray and Quinn will pull you into their story and take you on an emotional, heartbreaking read that will have you on the edge of your seat. These two have a love/hate relationship from when they were 11 and at 18 things changed big time but could this secret hurt them all or will make them closer? Will they be able to find the guys who hurt one of there own or will they be left not ever knowing? This book took me on a ride that didn't disappoint, it was intense, emotional, action packed, and with all that a romance that will have you pins and needles wanting to see what happens next. Each page there is a new twist and new emotions. I was completely enthralled and didn't want it to end, but what and ending. I so can't wait to read the next.
Gray and Quinn’s relationship is so complex and it was really great to see how their relationship progressed over the years, how they grew apart and then ultimately found their way back to each other. There is a lot of conflict in the relationship due to things that happened in the past, but working through it made them stronger in the end.
Quinn guards her heart fiercely to avoid being hurt and she wears a mask every day to ensure people don’t get to close to her. The Devils have always been able to see through the mask and have looked out for her, even when there have been issues between them. My heart broke for Quinn and what she went through (which was not what I expected) but she was able to come back from that stronger than ever. Gray, Jett and Ash helped Quinn realise just how strong she is and that she is, has always been, and always will be a Devil.
I loved Ava in the first book and, after seeing how she befriends Quinn and supports her in this book, I love her even more. I feel she helped Quinn come out of her shell and allowed Quinn to let someone other than the Santos boys into her heart.
I can’t wait for the next book to come out so I can see how things turn out for the Devils
Amazing read. Quinn is finally returning to the arms of the Devils but each has their own secrets and to share these secrets will cause unlimited pain to all involved. Quinn just wants to move on, to get past and do what she needs to do but her relationships with the Devils keeps getting in the way. Amazing read. Cannot wait for the next.
This is book two of a series and it won’t disappoint you. There are a few triggers in the story as it’s a bit darker. That being said…I can’t tell you how much I love this book. I’m definitely getting it in paperback as well. It’s well written and hits the feels; I laughed, chuckled, cried and shook my head at antics. Seriously why are you still waiting to get this book?
5* Quinn is part of the Devils meeting Jett & Gray the twins and their cousin Ash when she moved next door to them. The three have a close relationship until she dates Ash. They vowed not to date her but Ash made the first move but is he the one? Gray has such a growly relationship with Quinn his possessiveness of her is deep. I loved watching the story play out between Gray and Quinn the difficulties the faced were well written. A great story.
The Devils where can I get me one of them Jett, Gray and Ash gahhh I enjoy these Alphaholes so so much. I was hooked since book one with Jett and Ava. I was so curious about the relationship between Quinn and Grey ..they are so hot and cold and everything.. this book was just everything I absolutely devoured this book along with all the emotions it gave me. I can’t wait for more 💗💗
O.M.G….I have to say that Ruthless Desire is such an emotional read. I cried, laughed, got mad, got frustrated, and a slew of other emotions. I loved Jett and Ava in Ruthless Heart and got a little tease about Gray and Quinn. But I was not prepared for their story. Even L. Mitchell, author, has totally made it on my list of fave authors. I absolutely love books where I feel right along side of the characters. Ruthless Desire is a very wicked emotional rollercoaster (lots of ups, downs, twists, turns, etc). You never know what is going to happen next. I know it kept me clued to my iPad. I have to say that I could totally do without Onyx but then again I am totally, completely, 💯 sure that I want a story on Onyx. I know the next book, Ruthless Charm, in the Ruthless Devils series is about Mia and Ash but I would love to see a spin off with Onyx and maybe some friends of his. I mean his personality may rub people the wrong way but we have some teasing remarks about a certain female rival that he seems to get into it with. I believe she could take him down a peg or two and see how he feels. He just seems so opposed to love and is under the impression that love can ruin your life. I could not believe the way he says Sable wrecked his Dad. Sable is his mother!! Anyway, back to Ruthless Desire’s couple Gray and Quinn. They have a very complicated relationship and I just love the way Gray owns his feelings and just knows he has always been in love with Quinn but they always seem to be messing things up. Gray may think it is all Quinn’s fault but if he was honest and Onyx didn’t interfere they might have been together and some other events might bot have happened. That is all I am going to say about the book. Readers MUST read the Ruthless Devils series and you need to start with Ruthless Heart for it all to make sense. So as you guessed it, I highly recommend The Ruthless Devils series, Eve L. Mitchell, and Ruthless Desire!! You will not be disappointed. Can’t wait for Ruthless Charm, book 3, to be released. Mia and Ash looks like with be a very interesting story! I plan on checking out some of Eve’s other books while waiting for Ruthless Charm to be released. Happy Reading!
“I will never hate you. I will never leave you. I will never judge you.”- Jett (Yes this is Quinn & Gray's story but her relationship with Jett is just as important and this line is everything!)
Holy angst and heartbreak!
I was so intrigued with Quinn in Ruthless Heart. She had such a strong presence, I couldn't wait to find out how she became a Devil and what the deal with her, Ash and Gray was. -Insert mind blowing twist here!- She's such a contrast to Ava, I loved seeing them interact.
Gray is just as much an alphahole as Jett, maybe more so because of all the anger he's built up inside. His connection with Quinn though is the definition of soulmate. I personally connected with their loss and ugly cried through several pages.
Some questions are answered but the Devils definitely still have a dangerous road ahead of them, not to mention adding Mia to the mix is bound to complicate things even more. And Onyx needs a huge redemption arc to get back into my good graces!
*This is book 2 of The Ruthless Devils Series and must be read in order!
This...this book is just like WOW!! Yes I know thats a terrible grammatical sentence but this book has blown my grammar out the window. I've laughed, I've cried (buckets), I've gasped and I most definitely have wanted to punch Gray a lot!!! Quinn I just want to hug because holy crap has she gone through the mill but she also needs a slap (ok ok a gentle one) because she did do some pretty stupid stubborn things and she most definitely is the Queen!! The way this book intertwines with Ruthless Heart is just simply magnificent and following it through to that point where you are sitting on the edge of your seat with a holy moly expression on your face when you get to the end of the book makes October a long long way off.....I simply cannot wait to get my hands on the final book then I can do a whole reread again just to enjoy it all again!!
After reading Ruthless Heart I did not think that this series could get any better . Wow was I proven wrong . I love anything Eve L Mitchell writes , she always delivers a book that is just beyond phenomenal. Quinn has been best friends with Jett , Gray and Ash from the moment she moved in next door with them . But all that changed the moment she slept with ash - Jetts twin . Even though ash made the first move , Gray took the betrayal very personally as they all swore never to sleep with her . I was fascinated with Grays character ever since I met him In Ruthless hearts , you can clearly tell how much he cares for Quinn even though he is in complete denial . I cannot express how much I truly loved this book and am devouring this entire series . If you love a dark bully romance with off the charts chemistry and a story that will play with your emotions on so many levels then this is the book - series for you . Eve L Mitchell is such a talented writer and a queen when it comes to romance full of angsty moments . She is also very good at grabbing onto you from the very beginning and not letting go . Not even after it ends . You will be left craving the next book in the series ASAP ❤️❤️
Gah! I don’t even know what to say about Ruthless Desire by Eve L. Mitchell expect that I absolutely loved Gray and Quinn’s story. This is a friends to enemies to lovers, second chance romance and definitely has all the push/pull, tension, and heartache that my angsty loving heart needs. I was also not expecting this book to hit me right in the feels, but I actually cried while reading Quinn’s backstory and the devastation that followed.
Gray and Quinn don’t have a typical love story and honestly their relationship can be more on the toxic side. Gray is cruel, angry, and a straight up asshole for most of the story, but somehow through everything Gray and Quinn just work together and have a deep understanding of each other.
Eve did such an amazing job writing real characters that I was completely absorbed in this story and could not put it down. I’m dying for Ash’s book now and can’t wait to see what Eve comes up with next!
Most people won't like Gray but I love him! Quinn and his story is so beautiful and I'm so glad I read it! There is, of course, a bit of Jett and Ava in this story with I loved but I also can't wait for Mia and...well, let's just say her man. This series just keeps getting better and better. I need to know what happens next!
Ruthless desire is part of an interconnected series but features a new couple Quinn and Gray. Gray has loved Quinn almost all their lives but Quinn dates his cousin Ash making her off limits despite her feelings for Gray. This ends up causing a huge rift in the devils group and Quinn. Fast forward two years to college and Quinn has experienced a secret trauma and the boys are hunting down the responsible parties. Despite how forbidden their relationship may be Quinn and Gray can't keep fighting years of feelings. I loved the level of angst in this book and series overall. I thought it was really well ingrained in the story. Quinn is one tough cookie and may have harsh edges but seeing her open up to Gray and Ava was so satisfying. Gray is angry and ruthless but Quinn has always been his weakness and brings out his tender side at times and others enrages him. I'm definitely intrigued to see where the plot continues to go and am hoping Onyx has or will have a book coming up of his own!
Another phenomenal read in this series!! Every book blows me away, and this was no different, with Quinn and Gray diving directly into my heart. Breaking my heart in so many ways, this book is full of the fine line between love and hate, a mystery, and an Alpha so fierce!! Gray is enough to make any Alpha loving woman swoon!!
Characters that are complex; situations that keep you guessing and completely invested in the story; and a style that draws you in with every word, makes an author that has captivated me!! Standing out in a remarkable way, the author twists a tale that keeps you hooked!!
Both Gray and Quinn are additions to the harem!! Quinn is fire and I want her to be mine!!
I loved this book so much! Eve has such a way of telling the story that she keeps you enthralled from page 1 to the very last page, even then I can’t stop thinking about it well after! This world comes to life for me like a movie and I was so invested in every character. The emotions these guys go through feel so real & raw. The tension, angst, anger, and passion feel like it’s yours to drowned in. I feel so much a part of their world and it’s so hard to get to the end of the book with a cliffhanger, perfectly done I might add, and only be able to reflect & wonder what’s next! I’m dying here, I need more Devils!
This book was provided by the author through The Next Step PR in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Eve L. Mitchell and The Next Step PR!
Ruthless Desire is the second book in The Ruthless Devils series and tells the story of Quinn and Gray.
I remember loving Ruthless Heart, the first book in The Ruthless Devils series, so I had really high expectations for Ruthless Desire. And let me tell you that this book was amazing! Ruthless Desire was so hot and addictive. I really loved Quinn and Gray’s story and I couldn’t get enough of them. I really enjoyed reading this book and I’m so excited for the sequel!
From the moment I read about Quinn and Gray in Ruthless Heart, I was really interested in them. I really wanted to get to know them better, and I loved reading about their thoughts and feelings in Ruthless Desire. I also really loved a specific car scene… Damn, that was hot, lol. I really love Quinn and Gray together, and it was nice to read about Ava and Jett too!
Ruthless Desire was such a good book, and I really liked getting back into the world of the Devils. Eve L. Mitchell did such an amazing job with this series and I’m really looking forward to reading Ash’ book. I’m also kinda sad because it will be the last book in the series. If you’re looking for a good Sports Romance/College Romance then I highly recommend The Ruthless Devils series!
If you thought Jett was cold, well, he was NOTHING compared to Gray. He could be cruel—downright heartless, at times—his mood swings gave me whiplash. He made some questionable choices and the devil on his shoulder aka Onyx was there to remind him of his weaknesses at every turn. That family, although loyal, had some seriously dysfunctional parts.
Quinn, despite her scars and my dislike for her in book one, was actually quite lovely. She had been through hell, then kicked while she was down. While I didn’t agree with some of her choices, I could understand why she made them.
Together, they were like a beautiful train wreck. I couldn’t look away. The hurt that they harboured—secret or not—towards each other was like an extra character: obvious, interfering, and destructive. However, the love that they had for each other was stronger. It seemed no matter how much they tried to fight it, they were drawn together time and time again, no matter the fallout.
Full of angst, drama, and emotion, this book was gone before I knew it. I’m very much looking forward to the next book. Ha! Book three is going to be an absolute blast!
Quinn and Gray's story is so good....their relationship is as volatile as it beautiful and it captivated me with every page turned....this was a "can't put down" read and I finished it in less than a day. The second story of an interconnecting trilogy I loved the first book, adored this book and cannot wait for the third book!!!!
It's taken me over a week to find my words on Ruthless Desire... a week of nursing a terrible book hangover.. potentially made worse because I've read this book not once, not twice but three times now. I CANNOT get over it! Quinn and Gray were completely unexpected. Their intensity, their chemistry & their story will hold you hostage. I was not prepared for their truths.
" Peace came when she was near. After all, she was my sanctuary. "
Ruthless Desire was GAH! So emotional, full of angst, all the frustratingly beautiful push & pull and it showcases a completely different side to The Devil's that I am 150% here for! The connection that these two have, the connection between all four of them was beyond any expectation. This book was everything.
Quinn and Gray are the perfect power couple. Gray is fiercely protective of Quinn who has been through so much. Their story is tantalizingly heartbreaking yet completely magnificent all at once. Get the tissues ready for this one. It had me laughing, crying and on the edge of my seat. You can expect amazing things from this book, and as always with this series mayhem will strike again.
Gray Santo is a broken man, and it is her fault, she took something from him that he will never be able to get back. She broke his heart, dashed the hope he had, and ruined any chances of them ever being together. But it doesn't stop her from holding out hope that someday he will change his mind... that someday he will shop up her doorstep with the offer of a second chance.
As I delved between the pages of Ruthless Desire I felt my heart strings tighten, my emotions started to swirl, and I knew it was all coming back. The excruciating pain and indecision these characters had faced, the love they held for one another hanging in the balance, it was all there full force. As I reunited with them I began to see a shift happening, secrets started to come to light, and healing began. It was almost too much at once, but definitely necessary for their journey to continue. Gray and Quinn had a lot of hate between them, but little by little it began to dissipate and their love started to grow. But it wasn't an easy fall, they had a lot standing in their way and a few demons to conquer first. And of course their not quite done yet... but I think the worst is behind them.
Everything about this one screamed heartbreak, but amongst that heartbreak was a beautiful second chance waiting to ignite... and once it did all bets were off! As we all know love is sometimes messy and these two created quite the mess for themselves, but in the end they found their clean slate to begin a new chapter... and it was nothing but beautiful! I finish this one with a happy heart and more than a little anxious for the next installment... I cannot wait to see where the pages of the next installment takes me! Highly recommend!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.
Ruthless Desire is the second book in the Ruthless Devil's Series by Eve Mitchell. It is best read after the first book, but can be read as a standalone. Enough details are provided about the overarching story arc that you won't feel lost.
What an awesome, turbulent ride. I have to say, I was not impressed with Gray or Quinn in the beginning of this story. They were horrible to each other and inconsiderate to the people that loved them. That definitely changed the further into the book I got! They both grew on me the more we learned about their reasons for past events and the things that made them, them. Their relationship is like a powder keg, always fiery and explosive and the chemistry between them was tangible, almost since their first meeting at 11.
The book is well written, the characters, complex. The overarching story arc is interesting and will keep you invested in the series. Overall, I really liked this story and thought the relationship development was better than the last book. I can't wait to read the next book in the series and really hoping the oldest brother, Onyx, gets a book too!
This book was everything I didn't know I needed from the author. I stayed on the edge of my seat as the overarching plot across the series became further tangled, and Quinn and Gray fell in love.
Quinn is an amazingly tough female lead with a perseverance for overcoming the odds. She has recently experienced a traumatic situation, UT it doesn't stop her from trying to move forward. Her new friendship with Mia and Ava is a great representation of how vulnerable a person needs to be to put themselves out there.
Quinn has been it for Gray ever since the day they met. Unfortunate circumstances and bad timing has kept them apart even as their feelings grew in intensity. Their dance around each other at such a pivotal point of their lives took me back to a time I remember how hard it is to take the necessary steps to leave that first love behind.
Fortunately these two find a way to loe forward together, but we are no closer to solving the mystery behind the story that is driving the series.
This new to me author knocked it out of the park with this second book in her series! I thought Jett and Ava were the IT couple for me, but then when I read about Quinn and Gray? Sorry, but there's a new couple to love in this series!
These two characters were so well-developed and I immediately felt a connection to them both. This book literally took me out of my book funk, because I could NOT put it down!
I can't wait to read more in this series and more from this author!
