Bad For You

His mother hates me with a passion. No peasant for her perfect son.

She made sure to boot me out of his life when we were in high school and falling quickly in love.

So I did what any respectable girl would do—I broke his heart and let him leave.

Now the handsome billionaire is all grown up and back in our hometown where I never left.

Seems the military did some good with him. He’s a hotshot pilot with a playboy attitude to boot.

Being the heir to the most revered aviation company in the world doesn’t hurt either.

However, he’s very different when it comes to me.

That same flame that burned bright when we were kids is there, scorching me all over again.

And he’s one of the good ones. He’s helping raise money for the local school I teach at.

Unfortunately, my current boyfriend is the principal at the school—my boss.

I can’t seem to shake my first love no matter how hard I try.

But I need to. His mother was right—I’m bad for him.

Every good girl deserves a bad boy. ~ Weston

Hey there. I'm Weston.

Have we met? No? Well it's time to end that tragedy.

I'm a former firefighter/EMS guy who's picked up the proverbial pen and started writing bad boy romance stories. I co-write with my sister, Ali Parker, but live in Texas with my wife, my two little boys, my daughter, two dogs, three cats, and a turtle.

Yep. A turtle. You read that right. Don't be jealous.

You're going to find Billionaires, Bad Boys, Military Guys and loads of sexiness.

Something for everyone, hopefully. I'd love to connect with you. Check out the links below and come find me.

Brittany and Tristan were from opposite sides of the tracks but you know what they say about opposites. They were so in love with each other and their chemistry was off the charts. Their love for each other was over the moon until she broke his heart right before graduation by breaking things off without an explanation. He was so heartbroken that he immediately joined the air force where he stayed for 15 years. His father's heart attack brings him back to town to run the family's multi-billion dollar air craft business. It's evident that their love and attraction are still there. The characters are well developed and likable Tristan might just be my new book boyfriend. He was so nice and humble and it was hard to believe that he was a billionaire. The book is overflowing with drama and angst. An overbearing mother who never thought Brittany was good enough for her son. She was manipulative, controlling and did everything she could to keep Brittany and Tristan apart. Tristan was determined to get the love of his life back for keeps. It was emotional how they rescued Lou from an abusive, addicted mother and later adopted him. After much ado there's a happy ending complete with multiple children and a reformed mother-in-law. A great book that was hard to put down. I read an advance copy via the author and voluntarily chose to review it.

Was definitely bad for this reader’s heart

Brittany, an elementary school teacher, broke her heart as well as the heart of Tristin, now a billionaire CEO and former Air Force fighter pilot, back in high school hoping that he would return to her some day. As the story progresses that some day arrives, a second chance is given, and it seems like history might repeat itself unless everyone can get on the same page. Weston Parker’s Bad for You was definitely bad for this reader’s heart with the roller coater of emotions I went through. I so wanted to slap the characters at a couple different places in the book, just to see if I could knock some sense into them.

Another out of the park hit for Weston Parker. Loved Brittany and Tristan. This second change romance between them was so good to read. Their hearts were broken while in high school and Brittany never really got over Tristan. When they finally orbit around each other again, the chemistry that was burning between them was just as hot now as it was then. Loved this read so much. Highly recommend.

Loved this story from Weston Parker! I'm all about a good second chance at love story and that's what we get with Tristin and Brittany, high school sweethearts whose first romance ended due to the machinations of his mother. Loved the fact that once they're back in the same orbit many years later, the chemistry still burns plenty hot between them. Of course it still won't be that easy for them to hopefully, finally get their HEA, and there were a more than a few moments I wanted to shake each of them for the choices they were making that had the potential to derail their chance at happiness.

This is a well written second chance romance between Tristin and Brittany. The author does a great job developing the story and brings strong characters with a hot chemistry and weaves a beautiful and emotional read filled with drama and love. He brings the story to life with his perfectly painted scenes and delivers a fantastic read.

Second chance romance for former high school sweethearts. Opposites attract and their connection and real and lasting. The struggles of understanding self worth and worthiness no matter dollar signs.

I was underwhelmed. . .

This story and book wasn't awful, per se. I have, however, read far more interesting, emotional, and even exciting books by Weston Parker, and I was rather disappointed that the contents didn't hold up the hype or unspoken promise alluded to in its title. Seriously, Tristin was the least threatening, dangerous, or trouble-making male lead character ever. He didn't sleep around much, if at all (he didn't once he got back home, anyway). Nothing supported that bad boy image, as his claim to fame, aside from being heir to his family's aviation legacy, was as an Air Force fighter pilot. We didn't get any up close insight or look at his flying experiences, only vague references to Brittney's and Tristin's memories of their high school relationship.

In fact , we only get summaries of pivotal moments of their history together, never tell actual scene or the intensity of their emotions, reactions, and residual feelings that both keep telling us are very strong, as is the sizzling chemistry between them. Frankly, the times they're are supposed to be experiencing this chemistry comes off no greater than a slight hitch in their blood pressure. Really bland, kinda unoriginal, although I liked the unique fostering/adoption situation with Brit's neglected, unwanted, abused student Lou.

One consistently great thing about Weston Parker's books, though, is how beautifully edited and formatted the writing is. Not perfect, but nearly so. Three and a half stars.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the second chance romance between Tristin and Brittany. They were high school sweethearts until Brittnay broke up with Tristin and he left to join the airforce. Now 15 years later, Tristin returned home after his father had a heart attack and he needed to run the family's company. Tristin was shocked to see Brittnay at a fund raiser for the school where she was a teacher. Tristin was still attracted to Brittnay and wanted to talk to her in hopes of learning why she ended things between them. Brittnay still loved Tristin and never got over leaving him, so when he came to ask her out, she agreed, but still thought she wouldn't fit into his world. Tristin still had issues with his mother trying to run his life and he never stood up to her because he was worried about his father's health. I really loved this book. I really liked Tristin and knew he loved Brittnay, he just had to convince her she was the one for him. Brittnay had to get over her insecurities about their differences. this was one of Weston's best yet.

I enjoyed this story more than I thought I would.
Early in the story Brittany was working a nerve, you know that last one your mom keeps telling you to stay away from, that one!
She could have mentioned what took place years ago and saved herself and Tristan some time and energy.

Tristan was patient, too patient. He dealt with her constantly treating him like he didn't know what he wanted and her always jumping to conclusions. But, somehow they couldn't leave each other alone.

Despite my dislike of Brittany in this regard, as a teacher, she was a solid character that added much to the storyline with her compassion for her students.

Lou caught me off guard, but is one of my favorite characters ever written by the author.

This one is more than a romance, it provides a glimpse into a very real issue that many of us educators face on a daily basis.

A good one that should be added to your collection!

Second chance love with all the twists

BAD FOR YOU is a “wrong side of the tracks” second love story. Brittany broke up with Tristin after high school graduation to not hold him back from what he could achieve by being a girl that didn’t fit in with the wealthy people in his world.

Both of their hearts were broken, so when they saw one another again when Tristin returned years later to assume his role as CEO in the family company, each started thinking what had kept them apart in the past.

It was so hard for Brittany to shed all the baggage and distrust that came from her feelings of inadequacy even though Tristin was obviously such a good guy. Their chemistry was dynamic, but their kindness and characters we also so in synch. There were many emotional moments in the story that mostly stemmed from each of the putting the happiness of others before their own. Loved it!

A great love story!

Tristin’s father had a heart attack, so now he was home from being a pilot in the military to take over the family’s aviation company. He left right after high school graduation because Brittany broke up with him. That was fifteen years ago. Brittany is an elementary school teacher and her boyfriend is the principal, but she wasn’t feeling it or any other guy she dated. Now there was a fundraiser for renovations of the school library. This is where they meet again. Their battle to reconnect is not an easy one. Tristin is determined to get together and make it forever. Brittany is more wary. Tristin’s mother interfered fifteen years ago, and she’s interfering now. Will their relationship come to fruition? Their love for each other is undeniable. A child in the class she teaches is very involved in this story. There are many emotions to feel while reading this book. It holds your interest from beginning to end.

I purchased a copy of the steamy second chance novel Bad for You: A Billionaire Second Chance Romance: Tristin and Brittany by Weston Parker and this review was given freely.
This is a well-balanced at times poignant story with vivid descriptions; a strong attraction with a few mild to moderately steamy scenes; darkness provided by overbearing, and at times abusive characters; and contains a heartwarming happy ending.
Separated by his controlling mother fifteen years ago, elementary school teacher Brittany Cleaver is reunited with her first love when honorably discharged Air Force pilot, Tristin Ramsey returns to take over the family’s billionaire company American Aviation. Challenges in the form of Tristin’s mother, a hopeful fiancé, a self- centered principal, a troubled eight year old, and secrets threaten to keep Brittany and Tristan apart.

Bad For You

This story is about Tristan and Brittany who were high school sweethearts but she broke up with him and he left and joined the Air Force the next day. Fifteen years later he returns home because his father who is the CEO of an Aviation has had a heart attack. Immediately upon seeing Brittany whom he has never stopped caring about all of these years he makes an effort to get her to see him again. Brittany never told Tristan that his mother Selena was the reason she ended their relationship because she made Brittany feel she was not worthy of Tristan. Not being able to help herself she hooks back up with him. She knows they can't make it work because of the differences in their lifestyles but she loves him too much not to try.

I loved this new novel from Weston Parker. Readers will love this second chance romance with all the feels from heartache, first love, passion, abuse, and forgiveness. Tristin and Brittany’s story thus far is my absolute favorite, yet so emotional. I teared up more than once. The obstacles and insecurities they have to overcome in my opinion make they relatable. Bad for You is a beautifully well written story with wonderful character readers will love and even one or two that will grow on you. I would definitely recommend this novel. I can’t wait for the next release from Weston Parker.

How can Weston keep topping himself with his books? Each book he writes is better than the last one. From the first word on the first page to the last word in this book I was totally involved in the story of either Tristan, Brittany or both. I was right there with them in the car, restaurant, school or anywhere the book took me I was oblivious to my surroundings as Weston had me on the pages. This book is a standalone and I guess a kind of second chance love ( but do you call it that when both parties never stopped loving the other one?). Its also a rich boy/poor girl scenario..
It's an easy read, and an HEA. I so loved reading this, it's a good summer romance runtime read.

Oh Wow

Well Weston has done it again with another amazing book.
Loved the storyline and the connection between Tristin and Brittany. Fabulous story.
Loved how they took Lou under their wing and became a beautiful family with the addition of their own babies.
Couldn't believe Selena could be so evil to begin with but so glad she changed her views and became the perfect Mom and Grandmother.
A really lovely story not to be missed.
I honestly couldn't put it down until I finished it.

The best

I read most all of Weston Parker’s books, usually download first then read synopsis .
This tale of Tristian and Britney was the best. I could not put it down.
Just the right amount of steam.
Family drama, that is suffered but resolved mutually.
It took some extended time for Britney to loose the chip on her shoulder but you really can see her point of view. Thank goodness for Shelly and Archer they are friends you count on to sit you down and listen but make you hear the resolution to the problem.
This is my favorite Weston Parker book to date.

Tristin and Brittany were bad for each other but the love they shared was beyond anything. Tristin and Brittany are hands down one of my favorite couples to date. This is an amazing story. A proof that in love there is no rich or poor if you know how to fight for your love. I like the characters of Tristin and Britanny both are down-to-earth especially how they saved Lou from his awful biological mother. Finally I stop hating Selena after she'd accepted her sons wife and adopted child. Everybody happy... I love the ending!

This is a complex second chance romance with so many heartfelt moments. Tristin and Brittany were high school sweethearts who parted ways then came together again. There was some drama, but plenty of love. A very sweet storyline. *This honest review is based on a complimentary copy from the author*

Enjoyed

I enjoyed this second chance romance. I liked the storyline and characters. Not to much angst. I liked how they both reminisced about their past, which gave us insights into why they felt so strongly for one another. Summary covers gist of book. This was a quick read.
Told from both MC POV. No cliffhanger and we get an HEA.

Oh, wow! What a great story. Tristan and Brit are childhood sweethearts that were separated by a manipulating mother who didn't think Brit was from the right side of the tracks for her son. They find each other again when he comes back to take over the family business when his dad has a heart attack. His mother tries to get in the way again, but he doesn't let her this time. Very sweet story!

Bad for You was good for Me

So for the people who have a mind driven parent that is controlling, you need to read this.
If love is true a second chance should always be on the table (unless abusive in any way). Weston Parker has an amazing imagination and has a way putting it into words.
Great book another must read.

BAD FOR YOU by Weston Parker
This is another excellent story from Weston Parker. A second at love for Brittany and Tristan. They were high school sweethearts and his mom broke them up and he didn’t even realize that. There are entanglements to work out before they can think about doing anything further. This is 5 stars.
