Triple Trouble #1

Hunting Eden

Rate this book
I wasn’t looking for love, but Hunter King crashed into my world and flipped it upside down.

He’s a King alright... a sex on legs and larger than life pro-golfer.

A sinful God.

And I want to dive into his hypnotic brown eyes.

But I’m broken, I’m lost... stuck in a time loop.

Waiting for my heart to heal.

True to his name, Hunter King decides I’m someone he wants.

I’m his hot prey.

But I don’t want to be caught.

And he’s not used to being told no.

We’re from two different worlds.

I won’t allow him to piece me back together.

But I may not have a choice, because my soul craves his.

And it makes me question everything.

I always thought my heart belonged to another...

What if I’m wrong?

Ok so I have several things I need to say about this book.

This could have been an amazing 4/5⭐️ read but several things kept bringing it down for me. I should have only given it a 2⭐️ but I actually did like and enjoy the story.

1- it was waaaay too long. So much longer than it needed to be

2- there was too much description. Everything was overly written about. It was soo descriptive it felt more like a screenplay. Now I often have the opposite problem when authors dont describe things enough, but here it was too much and too often.

3- the pacing/timing of the whole story simply wasn’t balanced and that felt frustrating. The first 70% was one pace and then bam the ending was so fast so rushed I felt I had whiplash!

4- for me there was waaaay too much talking and random thoughts during the 🌶scenes. I just kept thinking shut up and enjoy yourselves!!!

5- they way the MCS thought of themselves was weird. They were either super full of themselves and vain or it was as if the book was written in the 3rd person (with how certain things were described) but then simply changed to be dual 1st person pov. One that stuck out and felt weird was during a sex scene shes describing how he’s kissing her body and says something along the lines of: He trailed kisses down my toned stomach. - that kinda thing kept happening throughout the book.

If it wasn’t for the actual concept and story I would have DNF this book, but it was different, it was set in Scotland, he was a pro golfer, there were many good and different points that kept me drawn in

For the first time ever I DNF at the first chapter.

I found the book from Instagram so I think this is a new author. It was painful to read from the first few lines. I actually thought I’d skip to the second chapter to give it a fair shot but couldn’t get past the first few paragraphs of it.

I don’t know why the author made the FMC Scottish when she’s obviously American and I mean painfully American, like second hand embarrassment American.

The writing is very poor and I don’t say that lightly. I assume it’s the writers first book but they need to learn how to write more maturely and age appropriately. The FMC acts like a 17 year old not a 27 year old. Adults don’t speak or act like that in real life.

This is just the book to read when you need a break from dark romances. It’s light and fluffy and makes you feel all the emotions. Some parts even made me tear up a little! I love Eden and how childish and carefree she is. I love how this character is her self without caring about criticism from others. I’m gonna aim to be more like her. The only negative side was that I did find myself getting bored at times mostly in the middle. But otherwise this was a great read! 💕

Quite an interest book, a nice crossover of cultures, and a funny internal monologue type of narration.

Loved This

Well this was a complete surprise. It’s sweet, sexy and funny. l loved it and I laughed out loud so many times. This is Hunter and Eden’s story.

I absolutely adored Hunter and he’s the perfect book boyfriend. He’s kind, funny, sweet and so damn hot and he loves a little dirty talk in the bedroom. I loved Eden just as much, she has the perfect blend of humour and sass but she’s also scarred from past hurts, has given up on love and doesn’t trust easily. They’re destined to be together from the first time they crash into each other’s lives although lack of communication causes some angst and uncertainty about the future of their relationship.

This was such a great debut and I’m looking forward to reading more in this series. And finally an author who knows a Koloa is NOT a bear!

was this book a joke? i seriously tried so hard to like it and try enjoying it but i literally found myself skipping over so many of the pages. the female mc was so cringe, and the male mc wasn’t that far off either. from the excerpts i read, i was super excited to read this book but i’ve never read more of a let-down. how do they go from living apart for like a month to immediately getting married in the next? and the guy was completely right, she acted *so* childish sometimes, it shocked me.

A beautiful read with mouth watering chapters, A perfect feel good romance.
The Triple trouble series Book One.
Eden Wallace is a loner getting over a broken heart over Jamie, Her triplet sisters Eva and Ella and her two best friends Beth and Toni are telling her to pull her big pants up and start living again. the three sister own their own dance studio on their parents estate in the grounds of the mansion house that is also going to be the venue for the big golfing event in Castleview Cove
Out in her beloved car Betsy she has an accident in a field late at night with no phone in the dark in Castleview cove, she hears an American voice telling her help is on it's way, oh those eyes, he's hot with sex appeal drop dead gorgeous going by the name of Hunter King that hunts Scottish lassies, he's a pro golfer staying for three months for the tournament and is interested in her.
This is such a feel good funny read with plenty of added humour, and Eden has a bucket list to complete, its a book that will touch your heart and put big smiles on your face as you read. full of wholesome goodness
Eden will never be lost again, she is his cupcake, she was willed to be found, as they become Lovers.

i love these sort of book and was not disappointed a very talented author who know how to write a story , you will laugh you will have tears a rollercoaster romance , Eden has 2 sisters they are all triplets double trouble and so funny Ella and Eva . and they own a dance school there parents own a retreat , Eden loves to drive fast in her car {Betsy} and one night she goes to fast and hits a deer and crashes in to a fruit field and her savior is Hunter a golf pro . but Eden is so broken her childhood sweetheart Jamie leaves town and she loses her baby a daughter . she is scared to fall for hunter but there is such electric there on both parts the bucket list is so funny and i could not stop giggling at Eden and her sisters antics and Hunter is sex on legs but the storyline is just so good will they make it or will there be obstacle s in the way i so recommend i so can not wait to read more from this author you will think of cupcakes and ice cream

Bravo for a first time novelist!! I enjoyed this book, enjoyed the characters. It was a bit on the long side (>700 pages) which, normally, I consider a blessing. But I think this one could have been pared down a bit and be just as good. Other than that, seriously loved Hunter!!

I thought this book was okay the main conflict relied heavily on the miscommunication trope which makes me want to rip my hair out. I thought they were a good couple but it still had me dragging my feet at the end. 2.5 stars

One of the best books I have read this year! I cannot believe this is a debut novel. I could not put it down…it is spectacular. I laughed - about wet myself, cried - broke my heart, shouted and fanned myself down multiple times while reading. The characters are fantastic, Eden stole my heart and Hunter…hot damn! All of the supporting characters too are just incredibly written…even the villains. I adore the local dialect and felt right at home in Castleview Cove. An absolute must read. I am impatiently waiting for the second book in the series but I’m sure it’ll be more than worth the wait. Bravo VH Nicolson!
Highly recommended.

Gaaaah! This book will make you swoon.
It had me laughing from the first page and all the way through. But oh my days, everyone needs a Hunter in their life!
Set in the golfing world on the Scottish coast, this book is so unique and an absolute gem of a read.
You will feel ALL the feels. There’s the perfect combination of humour, love, passion, steam, heartbreak and all the other bits in between.
So wonderfully written you will be dying for the next in the series. I cannot recommend this book highly enough, the only negative for me was that it had to end.

This is such a sweet, comical, sometimes heart-wrenching story that takes place in a beautifully constructed world. I’m no golfing fan but the way the author has included it in the story only adds to the quality of the text. I enjoyed reading about the secondary characters, particularly Ella, who I hope to read more about in the next story. I loved Eden’s quirky character and liked the fact that Hunter was a genuinely nice guy without the usual toxicity some heroes exhibit in a lot of romance novels these days. The back story was also interesting and with just the right sprinkling of ‘bread-crumbs’ to have me page turning to find out what happened. A fantastic debut; thank you for letting me read!

This was my first book by the author and I loved it, I was dying to read it after watching some videos about it and it didn’t disappoint, I loved Hunter and Eden’s story and I can’t wait to read more of the side characters.

Eden was 27 and she had a great relationship with her parents and she was really close to her sisters and best friends. She had a bad breakup 4 years ago so she wasn’t the same happy person she used to be. She owned a dance studio with her sisters and she loved to dance and teach.

Hunter was an American golf player staying in Eden’s parents retreat for a golf tournament. When he met Eden he was captivated by her from the beginning but thanks to being stuck in the past she didn’t want something more with him. He was very charming and cocky and Eden always got nervous when he was around.

Eden’s sisters only wanted her to be happy so they created a bucket list for her with a lot of things to do so she could go back to the radiant person she was before. She started spending more time with Hunter and their attraction started growing every time they were together. They had a lot of issues to face, especially Eden’s past, but she loved being with Hunter and little by little they grew closer together. Their chemistry was great too and I loved their steamy scenes, he always made Eden feel good and he reassured her every time when she didn’t feel worth it.

I loved their scenes together, Eden was amazing and Hunter really helped her with her trust issues. She opened up to him about her past and he always tried to be there for her. They had some ups and downs but they both knew they were meant to be together and at the end everything worked out perfectly for them.

The side characters were amazing too and I’m really excited to read Eden’s sisters’ stories.

3⭐️

Enjoyed it, didn’t love it but like it. Some parts in the middle were a little slow but overall it was a ok sports read that pulled some emotions out of me towards the end. It’s classed as a rom-com, which I found some parts funny but I didn’t find it hilarious. It was also a little juvenile at times.

POV: Dual, 1st person.
SERIES or STANDALONE: Standalone.
TROPES: M/F adult, sports (golf) romance.
SIZE: 439 (last page) Kindle pages.

PLOT: 📚📚📚📚/5
ROMANCE: ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️/5
SPICE/STEAM: 🌶🌶🌶/5
TRIGGERS: 😈😈/5 (loss of baby)

MY STORY SUMMARY:
Eden meet Hunter when she finds herself stuck in an awkward situation. He helps her then she spins finds out he is the new guest staying at her parents retreat, he is Hunter King is a pro golfer in town for the championship. Eden is a dancer and owns her own studio with her triplet sisters. She and Hunter become close and whilst they know time isn’t on their side they work through their reservations and try give their feelings a shot. But, Eden hasn’t had a good run with love in the past and her trust issues could be their downfall.

We all need Hunter King in our lives!

So I’ve been in a horrific readers funk, but decided to give Hunting Eden a crack as it popped up on my insta feed. And well ladies and gents, I’m out my funk.

The story follows Eden and Hunter on their journey of love and life.

Eden was very endearing, with all her quirks, and I loved the writing style of her POV. She’s very real in her struggles having been hurt in the past, and guarded because of it. I loved her progression, and it all felt so very real.

Hunter King, what a gent. I loved that he wasn’t an asshole. I loved how much he cared for her, how he was her biggest cheerleader even if she was her own worst enemy at times. And man alive the heat sizzled with these two. Those scenes 🥵🔥🔥

A great easy enjoyable read.

Thank you Eden and Hunter for getting me out my funk.

Ps. Iv also learnt some awesome Scottish words. 😆

Hot, funny, sad and sweet

Sweet, sassy, beautiful Eden hasn’t had an easy few years, so when she meets handsome, kind and talented Hunter she doesn’t quite believe he would be interested in her. She is a small town dance teacher and he is a big time professional Golfer visiting to recuperate and compete, she is wary of getting involved. He knows he wants her the first moment he sees her, but their different lives and her past throw up some road blocks. They both make mistakes and you want to shake them a times. I loved the additional characters and the small town feel. This book at times made me smile, made me frustrated and made me sad, but left me with a smile on my face. I really felt for Eden at times but was so glad in the end that everyone was there for her. I cannot wait to read the next book in this series.

This series has been on my TBR forever and I finally got around to starting it and why have I not read it sooner? Honestly I loved it from the first chapter I was hooked.

Eden our Scottish heroine has a minor car accident after her thoughts go to the darker part of her past but Hunter the gorgeous professional golfer from Florida is there to help get her to hospital there is instant chemistry between these 2 and OMG Hunter is utterly swoony. He is staying at Eden’s parent retreat before he plays in the golf championship, coming back from injury, and has sets his sights on Eden determined to bring her out of herself after she has been dealt an awful hand.

I utterly adored this book, it is an Insta love story at its best, the interactions between Hunter and Eden are brilliant she is so kooky literally says whatever comes to her without thinking giving us some hilarious moments and the inner monologues she has, had me in stitches, but of course we have many curve balls which did result in me staying up far too late to finish it and nearly throwing my kindle at the wall but we do get our perfect HEA!

The book was good. The smut was good but a few moments throughout the book I got so annoyed by Eden and how she was acting. I know it's coming from issues that she got from her past relationship and everything but it pissed me off SO BAD and the fact that she was doing it so often when he clearly made it so obvious that he loves her and that he's NEVER going to leave her and yet she was still doubting him like what the fuck I was so annoyed by that so so so annoyed, but yeah, they were cute and I like their relationship and the fact that she had THREE BOYS!?!?! THREE !! BOYS!! my coochie hurts for her

What a lovely book. I giggled a lot and my heart ached for these characters.
I loved Eden’s wittiness and Hunter was super hot! I loved hearing his bossy side come out.

I haven’t read a sporting story before, but I felt it all blended well together.

Eden has 2 sisters, they are triplets. They own and run a dance studio together. One late evening Eden takes out her little car Betsy and ends up crashing and ending up in a berry field. Luckily a handsome American finds her and saves her.
Her sister’s tell her to get her big girl pants on and move on with her life. She’s still hung up on her ex Jamie and is heartbroken. Can Hunter help her mend herself as he’s around for 3 months?

This book was funny, touching, hot and Romantic all in one. I’m excited to read the next book in the series and learn more about Ella.

This is a stand-alone book which is part of a series.

I absolutely loved Eden and Hunter’s story. I could not put this book down. The story was fantastic and the character development is incredible. Laughing one minute and tears the next; vulnerability, sexy, and truly relatable. Loved the little snippets of Scottish dialect and definitions at the beginning of each chapter! Eden and her sisters are a fun bunch of gals. I can’t wait for more stories from VH. She is truly talented! Keep the stories coming!
